You can say that again my friend. I will try my best to help her and other Siddi elders who are really dying to set foot in Africa just to have a feel of what is like visiting the land where their ancestors came from. Their stories were touching at times brought tears to my face but they just kept smiling even though they are lost in culture and that sense of belonging.
It is unfortunate that most Siddis are very poor but united. They rely heavily on farming and growing their own produce, a skill passed from their African enslaved ancestors. Imagine how painful it continues to be for the Siddi people who wants to visit Africa just to see where their ancestors were stolen from and hey can't do that, a very sad reality. I plan to start a PayPal campaign to raise money for some of them to visit Africa, and any donations to this channel's PayPal account should have a note as follows 'Siddi Assistance to Africa'. She said she wants to visit her ancestor’s land. But that doesn’t mean she is forced not to go or pressured by anyone. It’s just they are poor and cannot afford. And I understand the pain. As Hindu community feels in Pakistan. Who is neighbor country. And then they can’t visit to india. But their liking to visit india is not because they want. They are forcefully being converted , murdered, hate and descrimination is the reason. But these Indian African community doesn’t posses this trait. Because india is a land of multiple foreign refugees throughout thousands of years. India is the only country where no world community has been persecuted. We have parsis, Buddhist, jews, Ukrainian, Russians, Africans, even Muslims from all religions of Shia and Sunni. But they still live together. Because this is India. She is beautiful and very happy. So their families look happy here. It’s just a home touch which we want want. I guess thts her wish .. I appreciate for your visit here in india and helping them ❤. God bless you.

@@RJinspirebro u need better translators if u really want to knw what the people really want and think....... He asked her if she's interested in going to africa. She said no why would i want to go there and i dont even have resources to go there but here(in india) shes happy she walks with strength meaning she has a presence here and people knw who she is. Well i dont think so people frm villages would be that interested in finding about their ancestors. The things they most want would be good education and job opportunities from the government and the development of their village. And I think u r doing a great job for the community by making their voices heard all over india and i appreciate that.

Siddhi people's are not forgotten people's.. Africans and indians have 2000 years old friendship history... Yes most of the siddhi 's almost 80-90% are coming india as slaves by European and islamic invaders but outher siddhi's are satteled as merchant and warriors before invasion happened in india (before 1500 years ago,... they are mostly following Hinduism).for example we have statue carving of "indian king sitting in 🐘Elephant and African king sitting in jiraffe and donig servey/roaming market in india just like two delegation/king " in konark temple of odisha.

Despite all the hate, racism, segregation, separation and slavery, we have survived and sadly forgave those who did us wrong but never forgot where our ancestors came from.
The Arabs were the first to bring Eastern Africans to Asia (many to India and Pakistan) as merchants, carpenters, soldiers etc., however, a few years after African trading and working hand in hand with the Arabs; the Arabs decided to capture Eastern Africans for cheap labour and that was the birth of African enslavement. The Portuguese and later the British joined the slave trade years after the Arabs; this information is narrated in one of the videos. @@asisinmama6275Whataboutery and misinformation. You are filled with hate.
The siddi people are classified under sc/st by the indian govt. They are reserved places in universities, govt jobs, etc.
And no one force them to stay in India. If India would have sent them back to Africa; then people like you and the leftist media would term Indian and Indians as racists and xenophobics.
And where is Africa in this story? Why hasn't any African government come forward to establish an agreement to take them to Africa, if they are so unhappy in India?
I don't know what you are talking about "you guys only like your own kind". Maybe that mindset is rampant in your place and Africa; as we have seen how the African people treated Indian descendants in Ugamda, South Africa, Nigeria, Fiji, etc. Depriving them of basic human rights and thretening them to leave Africa(Because clearly you people only like your own kind).
But the people of African descent in India have been welcomed and the natives of India have integrated these people into their communities.
Get out of your bubble and if you have time, go visit these people in India. They are spread in many regions and live amongst the native Indians without any prejudice.
Many of these people when asked; have said that they want to go to Africa but only for travelling but want to stay in India.
And unlike you people; the native Indians call these african descendants as Indians and not Africans. Which clearly means that they don't segregate between them.
And if you're assuming from the video that these people live in mediocre conditions. Then, that's a fact in many remote villages in India and even in major cities. And it is irrelevant of demographic. Even many native Indians live like this.
It is more of a economic failure and govt inefficiency; which affects many Indians irrelevant of their ethnic background.
Many hindus in India suffer from misery and poverty.
And, there are many siddi people of African descent in India who have served in the parliament. And there is still an African in the Indian parliament.
Now, tell me how many people of Indian descent or any other backgrounds have been able to enter into any govt in Africa?
Stop with your hate. You are projecting your racist mentality on other people like a true ignorant person.

Africa has the friendship with India from last 2000 years . Even before Europeans. Vascodagama followed the Indian ship from Madagascar .

@@RJinspire yes , this is interesting and need more perfect research to wipe out the lie of lier Europeans.
Another interesting fact that , Kalinga had huge trade relation with Labanga Dwipa in other name clove island ( Tanzania ) during the period of 4 th BCE or much before . Kalinga was extremely dominant in the marine power till 16 th century from unlimited years .
So europeans learned the different types of ship stitchings from different ship yards of Kalinga . Kalinga ships were so huge that one ship could be carried up-to 10 elephants and 2000 traders including huge warriors .
Even in China history, this is explained much clearly .
In Taiwan there is an inscription where the trade between Kalinga and China is mentioned as “ Utkala king had respectfully received the gifts from China ‘ .
So Africa is connected to India from thousands of years ago, much before Europeans.

Kerala is a state in India. India has 28 states. If they were in Kerala, they would have a better life. Here, I found a lot of migrant people and guest workers. Actually, they started giving education to their children and started to maintain hygiene because they were trying to imitate Kerala's people. It is a kind of culturalization.
It positively affects their development. When I see them, I feel sad because our government is not taking any initiative to reduce their problems. At least if they get an education, it should be beautiful.

    • @RJinspire

Unfortunately it is still hard for them to get higher education as they live in remote villages that are 2-5km walk away from the nearest bus stop. Most Siddi villages have a nursery school or primary school and no higher education, so they have to travel to the nearest town for their higher education learning and most Siddis are poor, which means they can't afford to travel to any high school.

I always wanted to go to visit india but right now am very desappointed. Because i learn with the time that indians are racists and don't like Blacks Peoples. They hates africans. Your guess is as good as it comes, and yes, their ancestors were taken from eastern Africa. It would be great if i could raise some money to help some of them with DNA, unfortunately most Siddis live in poverty, they are mostly farmers; a skill passed from their African enslaved ancestors. I plan to start a PayPal campaign to raise money for some of them to visit Africa, so stay connected because I will need a lot of help to work on that, and any donations to this channel's PayPal account should have a note as follows 'Siddi Assistance to Africa'. Thank you and here's more: The Arabs were the first to bring Eastern Africans to Asia (many to India and Pakistan) as merchants, carpenters, soldiers etc., however, a few years after African trading and working hand in hand with the Arabs; the Arabs decided to capture Eastern Africans for cheap labour and that was the birth of African enslavement. The Portuguese and later the British joined the slave trade years after the Arabs; this information is narrated in one of the videos. They dont talk marathi, they are speaking konkani..native language of Goa and konkan region of india..and they can speak this language bcs their ancestors were either traders who used to come to the cost of konkan to trade or they were brought by Portuguese as slaves or warriors to booste their trades. Your guid is not much educated to tell u the whole context and history about this people. By birth they are indians as they live in india much before indias independence or goa liberation from Portuguese.

Amazing beautiful lovely people and I had an amazing two weeks in many of their villages. It is unfortunate that most Siddis are very poor but united. They rely heavily on farming and growing their own produce, a skill passed from their African enslaved ancestors. Imagine how painful it continues to be for the Siddi people who wants to visit Africa just to see where their ancestors were stolen from, a very sad reality. In my country à lot of indians People are coming to do trader. They sale many product from India and make lot of money. Africa is rich. Go to visit south Africa a big indian community is there since a century. Go to Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory coast. You will be surprised. Africains city 's are very modern...And we are not so poor as you think. So stop thinkink that Africa is misérable. If this siddis Peoples want to visit their Mother land They are welcome..stop telling shit about Africa. You indians are racists and don't like Blacks Peoples..shameful !

This is a shame if the govt won't let them leave, but yes the African countries have to grant the visas, my forefathers was indian immigrants to the Caribbean, some Indians says they go to visit the motherland India, they get back and is disappointed. It's sad they do not get an education from the indian govt. They should get the opportunity to visit their motherland, I do realised poverty, how can they get out of poverty without and education.

One slave Siddi ruler was also famous in maharasthra or rather youn can say in indian history books his name was SIDDHI JOHAR who was brave, very notorious, who looted many villages , raaped womans, marathas fought bravely against this african soldier Siddhi jauhar. SIDDHI jauhar ruled smaal terriroty in karnataka n in maharashtra at murud janjira fort. Many siidus were servingn as a slave n very few as a soldiers . When siddhi jauhar died many siddis people retrurn to karnataka where they was belong. As year pass many things changed .
One more thing to add many siddis speak kokni marathi which have impact of portugues language the kokni language is mostly spoke in Goa state , you can easily catch there style of speking kokni same as goan state people spoek. GOS WAS under portuguse rule even aftr india got indipendence , aftr india Goa got freedom from portuguse. Siddis also speak marathi too
