I agree with you. Batman should be in his blue underoos. The angry head sculpts for Dick and Damien make me think of an alternate universe where the Bat Family is a little more vicious toward criminals. Great review.
I actually switched Jason Todd's head over to the Nightwing body and gave Red Hood his cracked helmet. That's how I have mine displayed right now. Jason's head really does look great as Nightwing, tbh. Very 90s comic style (with the black mask). I bagged the grimacing one for now. I think if I painted his mask a metallic red, it would look perfect on Red Hood, since he's mostly an angry like character. 🙃 I too wished Batman's trunks were painted blue. I might airbrush it on myself later. It just feels off being so much grey there.

This was an instant buy for me! I LOVE the new Damian headsculpt because the others were just too cartoony for me. It's definitely nice to have passed on most of the other figures to finally get this set.
hello Asoka, great box set, not sure if a want to spend 100.00 on repaints of figures I already have but they do look great. the classic look on Batgirl is great, the blue on the Batman is right on the spot, I agreed with you, as soon as a saw the promo pictures I thought he needed blue underpants. I did paint my regular 3 jokers Batman under pants black and it was an instant update. will be hard to match that blue. I will probably will get this when it gets discounted for the holidays, wouldn't mind paying about 65.00 for it. great box set, great video.

Very cool set, but Nightwing's face...Oy! Swap it from another figure. Love Damian's details of his costume is really ornate. Is the Batman from thev3 jokers is a good choice. Jason Todd is really nicely sculpted. Good video. Thanks!

We desperately need a new nightwing based on his current comic run. I had to do a custom and switch the arms with a John Stewart but I’d love to see McFarlanes take on the new suit

Batgirl is the only draw to me for this set. Love the classic colors. Like Batman but, like you, wish he would’ve gotten blue trunks. Longer bat-ears would’ve looked better with classic colors. Really don’t like Nightwing’s expression. Damien Robin and Red Hood are past my time so have no interest in them at all. I’ll have to pass on this set, not worth it to me just for Batgirl. If Batman had blue trunks, then I think I would’ve caved and bought the set. 🙂
HASBRO GETS SO MUCH SHIT FOR REPAINTS, PINS, PAINT SLOP AND THIS IS A 100$ PACK OF REPAINTS THE DOUBLE STANDARD FROM THE “TOY COMMUNITY” IS SO HYPOCRITICAL.
I dont know if you are a hasbro fan or you just dont get the point why they get so much hate. First of all, they reuse/repaint A LOT of molds, like they are still using body molds that are 8 years old or even older. Second, they are increasing in price like crazy but you still get the same reused body mold and other parts. Can you imagine paying 35$ for a repainted figure?? So let's apply that in this case you are calling "double standards". This pack cost $100 for 5 figures that has a few different/new head sculpts not to mention in 7" scale(which means more plastic to manufacture compared to hasbro figs that are 6"). Another thing, this is probably the 2nd or 3rd time time they are reusing, repainting the same mold. So im sure hasbro deserves the shit they are recieving. P.s. I also collect marvel legends, but I really think they are doing a shtty job.
Mcfarlane is one of the worse toy companies ever that I encountered, when I collected DC figures after DC direct shut down. Truth be told Mcfarlane ruined the love that I had for DC with the amount of Batman repaints and lack of female characters being produced.

In fact there is a toy reviewer (forgot the name of the channel) who did a video about how often hasbro has been reusing their molds, he called it the "winter soldier mold" since that's the first character they used that mold for. In that video, he listed all the characters with that same body mold, starting from 2008 up to the time the video was created.

The only time they look very similar is if they are from the same storyline/media like the Arkham batman figures, you could say that they all look alike but it is justifiable since they are from the game series. But if you compare batman rebirt, 3 jokers, tdkr, etc you cant deny the fact they are unique from each other. I bet you can still identify each figure even if you are blindfolded.

Great review. These headsculpt are bizarre (why is Dick so angry?) and it’s crazy that Tim isn’t included instead of Batman (who everyone has by now).
