The fact that the movie can have as many guns as it likes but the figures aren't allowed to have those same guns is absolutely ridiculous, like "oh a severed arm is fine but we can't have weapons we see in literally every blockbuster action movie"
a severed arm does not fire a bullet that can kill someone though in Wb logic....Wouldnt it be great to see a video of the wb guys deciding who comes w/ what and the reasoning they cant have a gun. It would be so funny to watch

But in today’s modern action figure landscape, an alternate head should be an accessory. And if the argument is “the budget went to the King Shark BAF”, then don’t do a BAF. They already made a complete King Shark figure with accessories.

Hey, so Polka Dot Man's spare gauntlet is the "unarmed" version for his right arm. The gauntlet attached to the figure is like the active or ready-to-fire mode. You can switch the gauntlets by removing the hand. Thanks for the comprehensive wave review.
The unmasked Bloodsport looks more like Andre Drummond than Idris Alba on camera, I hope it looks better in person. And I thought the crotch piece was backwards on the earlier images. Looks like I was wrong.
It really annoys me that we don’t get alternative heads instead you have to buy basically the same figure!! Also this whole WB no gun policy really doesn’t work for figures based on an R Rated film
What gets me is that they probably won't really scale with the Mattel Multiverse figures so you can't have the 2016 Squad fit with this one, or any DCEU characters before this year for that matter
The articulation was always super important to me as a kid because you could make them fight better. G.I. Joe had the BEST and TMNT had the worst. I wish I had enough extra cash to just buy a bunch of action figures for no reason.

I’m a Mcfarlane DC completionist and I have to say, Bloodsport & Polka Dot Man have the worst hip joints in the entire line. I have no idea what the rationale was when designing them, they’re so outside of the Mcfarlane normal and NOT for the better. I hope we never see anything like them again lol You can argue about the nightwing or Ezra diapers looking less than ideal but they’re incredibly functional. Bloodsport looks awful and functions awful 🤷♂️ I’m also with you on the likenesses I dunno what’s going on, one would assume Mcfarlane of all companies would be top of the line on retail likenesses (he should NOT be getting shown up by Mattel Cena figures) but the live action waves are crazy hit & miss. The Harley is basically perfect but the other two not even close. Likewise the Ezra and Ray Fisher Snyder Cut wave are perfect but the Mamoa is the worst head in the 100 figure line. King Shark is definitely the star of the SS wave, and hopefully there’s a wave 2 for the other Harley at the least.
I feel like we’ll get a figure of Harley in the black and red leather costume in a future wave in the future. Trust me they gave us darkseid in his armor after giving us his uxas look. And we need an JL Batman suit from how he looked at the first half of the movie and a Martian Manhunter figure
I've been really contemplating getting these, but harleys face looks off to me, I'm just not a big fan of it. Bit of a disappointment for me really since the batgirl and death metal wonderwoman figures were done so well

I can tell you in person the Harley likeness is pretty much dead on, probably the best likeness in the whole line outside maybe Ray Fisher. Her eyebrows and eyes are very shiny from the paint which might be throwing it off to your eye but in hand she’s great.

DC Mcfarlane I guess are pretty hit or miss for me. But this line looks a bit better than all the other Multiverse figures that came before. I may pick up Polka Dot Man and exclusive King Shark. Would’ve bought Harley, but I don’t like her costume, should’ve been her red and black costume with the jacket and goggles.
I hope this wave is successful enough for McFarlane to give us another wave like this based on the movie with Harley in the other costume, a ratcatcher, a Rick flag and a captain boomerang with a starro baf

Great review. I like that Peacekeeper and Bloodsport both come with gun grip hands. I think McFarlane will release some weapon packs related to his new Spawn line and those scale with the DC figures so we will essentially get guns for these guys in the end. Just a prediction!
I have harley preordered (don't have the money for the rest of the line right now) but I'm still irritated at WB's anti-gun stupidity since bloodsport and peacemaker should have big cool guns. it also seems that mcfarlane have been a bit greedy when it comes to head sculpts since most figure lines just have swappable head sculpts in one package but mcfarlane makes you buy a whole new figure if you want the unmasked version.
The Gold Label King Shark and Polka-Dot Man are must haves for me, the rest are easy skips. Over here in the UK they're all getting general releases so the King Shark figure is available at a bunch of places, that combined with the price is what got me interested in it, Polka-Dot Man though was just always a must have since I'm so excited for that character and his design is great. Plus if I get those two figures I can swap out King Shark's bloody head for a clean option. I appreciate so much that the new McFarlane DC figures look as amazing as they do for the price, sure there's some that are also just great poseable action figures as well, but even when they aren't they still look amazing just standing on the shelf, King Shark being a perfect example.

The likeness to the actors are totally off. Reminds me of how Mattel's take on Justice League. They were only similar to to actor likeness instead of a real scan. It's totally an insult they figures aren't packed in with alternate head sculpts.
This figure and that concept art proves that Bloodsport was originally going to be Deathstroke. The armor looks way dofferent than the film and hes Orange... Its very easy to change a helmet sculp last second, that's all ill say

At first I didn’t think any of them had waist articulation, and with the lighting on the thumbnail as well it made them look cheap. While I appreciate the attempt to hide articulation, it doesn’t work well at this scale. I think MCF should’ve just gone with the typical joint cuts.
