Yes you get it!!! The jolly holiday grilled cheese + tomato soup combo is so good!!! It's a must do. I remember they used to have a replica at Gasparilla Island Grill at the Grand Floridian but I heard they recently took it off the menu :(

Hi Kristen! Excellent review as always 👍🏻 We ❤ Ale & Compass, a hidden gem for sure. It gets really busy at breakfast and lunchtime when there’s a convention at any of the surrounding resorts. We only watch TH-cam 😅 so we heard about Love Island a couple of days ago when Jenn mentioned it 😁
I love A&C the breakfast buffet is amazing. The biscuits and gravy is what we purchase it for. Plus you get a free entrée that goes along with it. I think it's a pretty good bargain for 23 bucks. Dinner I always get the braised short rib, which is pretty amazing. They have brussels sprouts and some vegetables under the mashed potatoes.

Kristen I would like to tell you where I got an awesome burger back in February, 2024. I spent three days at Disney while my daughter and her friend were on a Disney cruise. I did some resort hopping to get some content for my channel, and I ordered a burger at Pop Century. They ran out of burgers and I had to wait for a freshly cooked burger and it was very much worth the wait. The patty was juicy and hot and it had lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese and bacon. I actually did not order the bacon burger but the server made a simple mistake which was fine. I highly recommend a freshly cooked burger at Pop Century. Make sure you tell them to cook you one fresh and it will be worth the wait. I hope you like it if you go and get one.
We had dinner here and really enjoyed it! My mom and I shared the shrimp tagliatelle and it was delicious. I usually steer clients here if they are staying at the resort and want something low key.
Ale & Compass is one of my favorite restaurants. We love the Parker House rolls with those spreads! My usual is the Grilled Cheese for lunch. I like the tomato soup, probably because I'm not fond of cream soups. I make my Campbells with water :) The seafood pot pie is #1 for dinner. I don't eat red meat so the short rib flatbread is out for me. Red meat = mayonnaise. You didn't have an adult beverahage... too bad cause they don't skimp on the alcohol! Another great review. We just had breakfast there yesterday off your recommendation. Loved it! Tonight it was raining so we Uber ate some Gordon’s. Yummy. Tomorrow is Boma breakfast and yak dinner- full food day. Today was also Woody’s lunch box kid meal for lunch- that turkey sandwich is so good and huge! Includes 2 sides and a drink for under $8. Keep the recommendations coming!
I loved love island! Big brother has also been good. I like the new storyline with the AI. Last year was terrible, but this year is looking better. You definitely need to go back and watch!
I have been eating the burger from the Ale & Compass lounge for years. I have to say, that doesn’t look the same… Not sure if others have had the same experience but it used to be a thinner burger with tons of cheese and honestly the taste was on par with steakhouse 71’s. What you got….That. Was. Not. It.

We just left the Beach Club on Friday. We had the Mini Kitchen Sink for lunch one day. It was SO delicious! I agree, the quick service isn’t the greatest, but the rest of the property was amazing!
I’ve stayed at Yacht Club multiple times and Ale & Compass never disappoints. I think they got a bad rap when they first opened and it stuck . Will definitely return.

Have you tried the Buffalo chicken grilled cheese over at The Fountain at the Dolphin? So so good! I’d choose the Fountain over Beaches n Cream/Ale & Compass any day.
The Captain’s Table was before it became Ale & Compass and we used to go there frequently. For some reason we haven’t gone to Ale & Compass as often probably because we like Crew’s Cup Lounge. Sadly they used to have the very best hamburger until they took it off the menu. 😢 Thanks for the reminder about Big Brother. I have been a devoted viewer every year from the beginning but this year I just can’t get into it after the first 2 episodes. Been way too busy watching TH-cam I guess. Keep on eating and we’ll keep watching. 👍🏻

Enjoyed the informative video. Headed to beach club stay in December and want to try ale & compass. While I haven’t dined there yet, I imagine that many of the positive reviews may be due to Mayo or a Mayo type special sauce. For those of us who do indulge, that may make the difference to kick it up a notch. The fish fry may be more tempting for with some tartar sauce of course. 😊 Back to beach club club stay, I have a three night reservation and have observed from other videos that they have scaled down their offerings, specifically dessert. No cream puffs, no cannoli, even the cookie offering seemed unimpressive. The rest of our stay is beach club standard room no club which is $500 leads each night. For just the two of us non-drinkers, I’m second guessing my reservation choices. 🤔 Maybe something you could explore since you mentioned you plan of doing the club level.
Love your videos. Glad to see Ale n Compass getting some respect. One of my favorite places to dine. 2 things though. 1. The Parker House rolls are large. Should be for 2 people. If you eat all of them with the 3 specialty spreads by yourself, you would not have an appetite for your main course. That said, try them when you are with a friend or your mom. It will be a true app when halved, And would then be $7 each. THE best $7 app in Disney. 2. How about trying the burger when it comes to your table? I mean, 12 minutes had gone by on the video... who knows how long without editing? It is the TITLE of your video, and you taste test 2 other entrees first?? Don't think you gave it a fair shot. Bread seem stale? Bacon soggy? 15 min sitting on a table can do that. Anyway, I love that burger and Ale & Compass. Maybe go again in a year or so with someone and just order the rolls and burger. Then eat them as they are put on the table. See if your opinions change.
Definitely watched the whole season of Love Island. I watched all seasons actually, this one by far was my favorite also! I'm a huge reality tv girl too! I love Love Island, Real Housewives, Vanderpump Rules, Love Is Blind, Too Hot To Handle, etc. 🙂💕

That’s one of my judging criteria for restaurants (whether or not they provide for free). 😁 Also, LI is my best friend’s favorite show and just discovered tons of LI content on Hulu. I too enjoy reality tv, in particular, Bravo and nearly all competition shows. So, talk all you want about it! 😁
I agree about the free bread in theory, but there were so many families going to Disney restaurants, splitting entrees, then filling up on bread. They ruined it for everyone.
We love Ale & Compass for breakfast and dinner but haven't had lunch. Don't pass on the Parker house rolls...the spreads they come with are worth the price! You can also get many items at the Ale & Compass Lounge which we love! Beaches and Cream restaurant was a miss for us ...too loud and greasy food.

That's what happened when my husband and I went to steakhouse 71 for the first time my burger was so stale and was not good so we won't even go back. That's so sad.
So there burger used to be legit! They changed it though and then used to come with truffle fries now they don’t do that nor can you upgrade which is dumb. The buffalo cauliflower I love now that’s what I get. Number one burger steakhouse def second would be the bison burger at CC

I think this restaurant is overrated. We have eaten there twice. I had the fish and chips and the fish was tough and rubbery, and soggy. My husband had the burger was bland. We won’t go back. The best burger in my opinion Sanaa at lunch they have seasoned homemade chips the burger is well seasoned and juicy. I thing the restaurant is usually 1/2 empty at lunch and I noticed it’s one of the restaurants that you can get a reservation for on the fly.

The herb aioli is really what makes the burger! So without it, it's operating at 50%
All other burgers are based off the same no sauce criteria so it’s an even playing field 🤷🏻♀️

So there burger used to be legit! They changed it though and then used to come with truffle fries now they don’t do that nor can you upgrade which is dumb. The buffalo cauliflower I love now that’s what I get. Number one burger steakhouse def second would be the bison burger at CC
LOVE the bison burger as well. I think that is #3 for me at the moment. According to my server they haven't changed the burger since they opened 🤷🏻♀️

Oh yeah, if pickles make a burger better for you, ask for them on the burger when ypu order. They will do that for you.

I used to, but haven't in a while. I fell off on Matt James' season and haven't gone back since.
I think this restaurant is overrated. We have eaten there twice. I had the fish and chips and the fish was tough and rubbery, and soggy. My husband had the burger was bland. We won’t go back. The best burger in my opinion Sanaa at lunch they have seasoned homemade chips the burger is well seasoned and juicy. I thing the restaurant is usually 1/2 empty at lunch and I noticed it’s one of the restaurants that you can get a reservation for on the fly.
