Appreciate that you did a voiceover. It was a better way to not only explain everything, but also be respectful to the others in the dining room that spent $$$.
The atmosphere looks bare. There are no pictures on the walls. No flowers. It looks like convention dining.

Agreed. The restaurant interior has no particular design and looks muted and soulless. At the very least, add some artwork and plants to bring it to life.
Wonder who/what/why is behind that decision?
Less worried about the decor than the food.

Kristen, we are so glad you, Nate, and Maria did a review of this restaurant. For a long time, we thought we would save up and go but we haven't been able to afford to travel since 2020. It sounds like Victorian & Albert's gives you heavy hors d'oeuvres for your $500 and that's just not a good value to us.

@@KrisKk08 Don’t believe them. Kristen could not have been any nicer. We had a great chat about my husband and I searching for an area to retire. She gave great suggestions and didn’t rush the conversation. Afterwards, she kindly indulged my request for a fangirl photo. She is the genuine real deal!

Just watched Nate’s video as well. Both combined give you a really good overall picture of the experience. We were able to dine there in 2010 and it blew us away. We dined again just after they reopened post COVID and we left very disappointed in both the food and service. Your video makes us want to give it another try.

Excellent video and great review! Loved the voice over narration format. If I am spending that much on a meal, I expect to leave very full and satisfied lol. So that’s a bummer yall were still hungry. I’m too picky of an eater to ever think about going here (and wouldn’t spend that much lol), so it was fun to watch your experience!

I was really worried for you when you got to the cheese course. The faces you made were so authenic and funny ! I felt badly for you, but had to giggle. It was super cute. I also loved the pan out to your friends and the bearded one leaning back, like "phew" and the cheese head, wide awake and chomping away. What a great group of friends you've got there. Thank you for doing this. I probably had more fun than I could have had actually going there. Loved it. Another great job.

I honestly do not notice decor that much but that is the most soulless, austere fine dining room I've ever seen.

Wright Down MainStreet: " it had fig jam with sesame seeds, then we had course number 1 which paired perfectly with the caviar and parsnip puree".
Mr.Morrow: " I don't know what the words theyre saying are in the dining room or what I'm eating but its Delicious!.

If you want a meal that blows you away with EVERY dish, I'd suggest a smaller local restaurant with a tasting menu. Not trying to be snobby, I love Disney and would absolutely LOVE a chance to try Victoria and Albert's, but sometimes smaller independent places, even ones without Michelin stars, can get more unique and experimental (which leads to that surprise factor like with the dessert you really loved) .
Such a great review and really subtly and well done - plus, I loved your dress and seeing everyone else looking all fancy too!
The restaurant looks dated IMHO, it reminds me of an airport Sheraton. The food looks good,

Excellent video Kristen! I love the voice over narration. I totally agree with you about the cheese course! We went to Victoria and Albert’s in 2004. Don’t remember the price, but I remember being stuffed when we left because they constantly kept the bread plates full of the most delicious bread I have ever had. Always enjoy your reviews. Went to a NYC top rated restaurant, food great etc but we left starving like you. But looked like a wonderful experience. Thanks as always for your opinion
Thank you for your honesty, I really appreciated it!! Personally, I think this place is for people who have more money to spend than brains. Not that it is not a good experience, but it's just too much, especially for people who are not wealthy (most of us!!) ...and I am a person who loves Walt Disney World. But that place is just too much. The fact that you all were still hungry after spending 6 hours there and spending all that money speaks volumes!!
I remember meeting you when you were a cast member at Living with the Land! I remember when I mentioned to you that my daughter was also named Kristen and you were so nice! 😊
I went in 2017, back then the Chef's Menu was 10 courses for $235, and the wine pairing was $150. They did also offer us the choice of menus, pretty sure they do that to everyone. The price went up so much, and with one less dish as well.
Definitely has gone up in price since then!

I was actually really excited when I saw a Nate's video that you were gonna be there . I knew that you were gonna break down the food to a T and I was really excited.❤
I noticed it says, Mrs. on the envelope menu that was handed you, lamb is one of those meats if not done right, it can be on the gamey side, it's nice to experience this type of dining, but I'm ok just going to a fast food place
I am older, and I would rather have non alcohol beverages any day. Way better for you and the liquor doesnt drowned out the fruit and other flavors. The only exception might be a chocotini, but the alcohol sinks to the bottom, so I just give that part to my hubby, lol. He isnt a big fan of it, chocolate and alcohol. But they are good, til it gets to the bottom. Wow, whatta treat this was ! I am impressed. Glad you all had such a nice time ! Good to see young people doing this. Looks like you've got some really good friends. Very nice video and great information.

Wanna go myself. I have never been to a fancy restaurant like that. The closest one that I could come to was the military ball. I've been to those a few times and I love getting dressed up and having a nice dinner with others. But that service was never there. I think it's pretty cool that you got a chance to go. Especially with friends.

Queen Victoria's eldest son married Alexandra, a Danish Princess. Hence the Danish inspired dish.
I would be the same way with paying that much. I would have the expectation of every bite blowing me out of the water. I would be starving! Haha that one bite would not fill me up

Oh this was great! Thank you so much Kristen for doing this review. Could you please consider going to the expensive place that is just like this in EPCOT France? It is a fancy dining experience like the one you just had. I think it's called Monsieur Paul. Would love to know what you think of that one. I have heard good things and would love to know how you would compare it to V & A.

A restaurant being called The Victoria & Albert, I would think the interior would reflect that. Nothing Victorian about it.
I watched Nate's video before yours, so I had some idea what to expect. But your narration was excellent. It's interesting what goes into a dining experience that makes it worth the money. I wouldn't want to spend 6 hours doing that. I guess that place is so highly rated because each dish is unique and presented in a unique way.
It would be interesting to go to other 5 star restaurants and compare them. Or perhaps you could read up on what goes into a restaurant getting such high accolades.
As for the uni, I think that's one of the worst things to eat. 😊. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
BTW, goat cheeses have a distinct taste. I happen to really like it. Any product with goat milk has that taste.

If you’re in Palo Alto California near Stanford University try Sundance steakhouse. Great ambiance and service & food is amazing! 😋 you definitely don’t leave hungry. We live eating at the bar with Cash serving us. Try it

$300 per person before drinks and gratuity? Every dish of the 9 course meal would need to be mind blowing amazing for that price in my opinion.

The room looks like a standard plain convention center room or something. It looks like you’re seated in a dark corner. Given the fact it’s Disney - this is so bizarre to me. Could someone explain? It doesn’t seem plush or beautiful at all.

Traveled over to you from Nate’s vlog. I adore Nate & his content. His coverage of this meal was excellent, in true Nate style. I came to get your perspective & comments on the experience. I enjoyed that you used voice-over & that I could see your face as you tasted the strange entrees. I gained more information from you than Nate.
Would I do this? Never.
First , I’m cheap: too rich for my blood. Next, I’m pescatarian: too many animal by-products (lamb, beef, bone marrow) Finally, I’m not an adventurous eater. I have food allergies to some of the items. It would be horrendous to throw up outside the restaurant because of one of their unusual ingredients that my stomach rejects.
I’m appreciative for the individual opinions. You both provided me with valuable & honest information. I’m off to find Maria’s vlog now. 👍🏼 It will be the Trifecta of the reviews.
I went to V&A many years ago😊 I got the wine pairing with the tasting menu. Well, must have been too much wine for this light weight, because I don’t remember anything from that evening 😂 This was awesome 🎉 What a lovely experience ❤ Oh, btw, I would have definitely eaten that stinky cheese too!
