    Man it's a shame you only have 12k subscribers when you are litterally the only one on youtube capable of breaking down some of his songs, hope you know how much we appreciate it...

      I really do! The supportive community is growing slowly, and that is how I like it. 12K may not seem like much in comparison to other channels, but I appreciate each and every one of you checking in every now and then 😎

      The reason is that only guitar players will be interested so the audience is limited. Then on top of that only a very small percentage of guitar players are at the level where they would attempt to learn something like this.

    From my perspective this appeared to be un[playable, but the breakdown makes it "seem" possible. I'm on it. What a huge challenge.!

      Good luck! And keep your eye on your fretting hand: if you feel a muscle cramp coming up, stop before it actually happens (even never continue after one). This is one you have to practice long term to get it right. 😜

    This is such a well put-together lesson, great audio and video, and clear explanations. The slow play-through at the end is key. I've been learning Tommy's tunes now for several years and I've been planning to give this one a go for a while but was hesitant at the apparent difficulty of it. Your video helped me realize that it's actually not too bad when broken down the way you do, and it's finally given me the motivation to learn it! Thank you, I've subscribed!

    Hi Tim-
    An outstanding tutorial! Didn’t think this song would be in my wheelhouse, given my age, but your tutorial made it possible.
    Trick was to get the intro harmonics up to 225 bpm. Constant practice needed. Been on it for 2 months. Wish there was a solution to the squeak on the wound strings. Any ideas?
    Thank you again!

    i loved your lessons..and i have watched your interview with tommy...this piece I am still struggling to produce fast clean cascading harmonics...

    • @TimVanRoy
      @TimVanRoy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just keep at it Nitesh! Don't focus on the speed, but make sure the tone of the harmonics is nice and even and the flow of the notes is nice and steady. If you make sure that is happening then it will all come together over time. Rush through it now and it may never happen!
