- The final travel day vlog is upon us for this Balkan trip. Come with me as I journey from Zagreb Croatia to Ljubljana Slovenia! Slovenia truly is a beautiful gem of Europe. Surrounded by mountains and lush green valleys. In the center is Ljubljana the Capitol. In this video I give my first impressions of the capitol and showcase a traditional Slovenian dinner. Let's just say Slovenian Food is top notch.

That stew at the end looked amazing and so did your dessert and I'm not usually a dessert person. Neat accommodation! I've never tried a hostel but if I did I'd want a private room for sure. Great scenery around town!
Yeah I've done hostels where I've shared a room before. It was rough. Particularly I had a big guy in the bunk across from me that snored like a damn bear. Not a good night's sleep. Also too much body heat. It was hot as hell. The stew was one the best I've ever had.

lovely city Ljubljana! Liked the look of the budget digs checked them out online hoping they were a chain through Europe. Sadly not. The bread and stew thing looks amazing.... just the sort of thing I would love to eat. Believe me though, the summer is where the city looks just brilliant!

That restaurant is way older than 20 years. It was there when I lived there 1996-1999 and it was known as one of the oldest restaurants. The goulash looked wonderful. I loved the many goulashes served with polenta.
Was it the same name? I'm curious because I went off what the server told me. I remember him telling me it has been different things and names over the years.
@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon It was called Sokol (meaning falcon) from when it was established in 1870 in this same place. I'm glad you enjoyed my hometown and my country. Happy travels.

You're not gonna get a stamp when moving between two Schengen countries. Normally they don't check passports at all, but recently Slovenia implemented temporary border controls due to migrations.
Ah I forgot about that.
