I'm running 2021 & vray 5 hotfix2 - both a fresh install. I followed exactly using same hdri but my render is very much darker. Max gamma is 2.2, default exposure control, etc.. Any ideas?
did you tick on auto exposure so the camera can adapt automatically ? Also if you have ticked on the auto exposure make sure you turn it off after you copy the settings over to your physical camera.
