Although the disparity between the top 3 is minimal therefore immaterial. Any one of them could have been #1. I think you are spot on in your assessment.
haven't had the pleasure of trying out either of the instincts or the rebel yet. I have really enjoyed my last year and a half with my ergo. I can say with complete confidence that the Lo Pro FxOne is the best lever clipper that I have ever used. It feeds hair with ease and actually decreased the time that it took for me to blend my fades. I cant say that about most other clippers. Shout out to the Andis Pulse ZR 2. For my money, its the best detachable on the market.
I had instict and died in 5 months, was a good clipper too expensive and its not worth that much, now i have kiepe rivale and babyliss lo pro 4artist, kiepe is bad had no power, babyliss is heavy around 350g cuz of body metal, have power but not as much as instinct, cuts lean and easy, i also had gamma x ergo with taper blade, for me was best clipper better than instinct, babyliss, kiepe, wahl, jrl, anything i worked with, best fades i got with xergo, you may not like the shape of xergo but you are use to it after a few haircuts.
Freshly new barber here. I have been cutting for about year and half. I rock zero gap seniors, magic clippers, and oster 76s. I feeling a bit confidence about my hair cuts but I am wanting a smoother blend. I know skill and practice comes into play, but if I upgrade my clippers, would I get better haircuts? Also, when is the best time to try something new?
Awesome job putting this video together with your amazing ideas for our industry and great review I got to see the actual whole lineup of clippers moving forward in this new year.BLESSINGS
My only concern about these new machines....... What is the parts availability like? Thats what I love about the Wahls, O, A...... You can get parts anywhere.
Gamma and Stylecraft have a large support system and service centers in many states now. Babyliss has some support items but gamma will give you motors blades levers springs screws switches really everything
Awesome video. Thank you . I still love my cordless masters . Now even more I have 6 masters pair of fade blade a pair improved blade ( taper blade) and now 2024 phat blade . In one week I have not 🚫 used guards ,after the 2 on the phat blade I use my metal blades on my Andis Pulsar zr two ( which has a strong motor than the supra zr two)
@@TH-camBarberAcademy wow you reply quick ( respect) 👍.. I would get the cheapest one for home use, look at the protege clipper from stylecraft it will cost you around 100 and if you use the code you will save 15%
This fantastic Eddie, man.... And to have it all in one video. Im an old school Oster, Andis and Wahl guy..... And my wrist days its time to modernize. I switched from a low volume shop to 20-25 cuts a day, and this video really helped. Ive always liked your videos because your concise, well spoken and really deliver the goods And the beard is looking killer!!
Great video! I have the Stylecraft Ergo with the Fusion Blade and the shallow tooth cutting blade... does great blends and fading with thinner, lighter, and straight hair. However, I have clients with thicker, curly, or coarse hair and the Ergo just doesn't make it and blending is just a pain, so I go back to my Wahl Senior cordless to finish the job. I really like the look and feel of the Ergo and would like to know if you have any suggestions on how to better the Ergo vs thicker, coarse, or curly hair.
Thank you for your video. You describe it for me very good and you give me a lot of important information about all clippers. Best regards from germany.
Hello, mine cyborg trimmer had issues straight out of box , it nicked , bites the neck. With universal adapter i tried to gap it , on agressive didn't work ( bit) , soft ( also ) ,i had to lower the blade manually , but not it lost it's sharpness , but doesn't nick at least. Any idea what could be the problem? Spring , screws ?
Ive had the Onyx for a few months and it literally MELTED IN MY HANDS this weekend after plugging the charge cable directly into the clipper. Being replaced under warranty but its the second JRL that has gone bad on me.😊
I really your videos on Clippers, but I noticed you didn’t mention anything about the blades, which I would be very interested in hearing more about. Because I am myself, dog groomer, and I do my own hair myself.

Awesome video and great detail‼️ Thanks for sharing and providing such a valuable perspective. I’m really glad you threw the Ergo’s and Rouge’s in there because they’re my go to clippers plus my BGR detachable for bulk. Haven’t tried any of the newer models yet and I’m looking forward to seeing. I can’t leave without saying “GO COLTS”!!! Thanks again buddy 🫡
It is not the same rotary motor that was in the first one. There’s a slight update so that it can’t get oil into the top of the motor anymore than the other thing is the cam follower.
Ejoyed this video… as a cosmetologist we didn’t learn these types of haircuts. I am most interested in all the mens cuts and fades . I only wish I had gone to Barber School. I was on one video & cant find it where you said you might come to Ga. To teach a class ( I think it was three months ago ) . Have you been to Ga yet ? If not I am very interested in your class . I hold a cosmetology license in Ga. & Fla. I have been doing hair 45 years.. but have always been interested in Barbering . I would love to do more in beards & hot shaves . Thank you for having these videos!
My stylist is also a barber. I searched for someone specifically that does both. I love to change my hair and go so far as to shave my head or parts of my head sometimes. If you find one that does they use your products like color instead of theirs. I had one doing booth rental and she was coming on days when I was off & not paying for those days . I don’t know what this generation is coming to . One girl told me she could make more money staying at home with her child as long as she was taking classes at the college. I would want to be proud of making my own money than the government paying for everything I told her . I think a barber would fit right in here . They are about to start a barber class at our college so maybe they will turn one out that wants to work ! I am glad you have someone with you ! You are blessed 😊
Hit the nail on the head. I own the ergo and the X-ergo and those are still my top 2 go to clippers. Any cut, texture you name it these do it all! Only other clipper I think I might like more are the instincts. I dont own them but I've used them and those are the ones for sure. The rebels also own a place in my heart. I still use them from time to time
Been using gammas since they first came out with the gamma ray hitters. I set my Babyliss pro fix trimmers down and gammas have been my go to ever since 💪 💈 ❤
Good job! I really want see why you recommend the xpro blade with the one cutter... (i wish i could add em to my slimline...) otherwise, can i add the blade to a less expensive trimmer and get the same effect, or is it really worth it to get the saber?
Eddie thank you for your video, you are always my go to if I want to know something. I am a Gamma girl, go between my Ergo and my Boosted. Decided to mix it up a bit and just orderd JRL Onyx. Ergo are my favs with taper blade
It’s kind of hard to beat the Stylecraft rogue combo. Basically you have two of the better selling machines for a very fair price and I think the magnetic motor is probably the easiest thing to fade with especially in the beginning check out the link to Stylecraft below and use the code Eddie. It will save you 15%.
I couldn’t agree more with andis and wahl and it hurts to say. Because I started with a masters seniors duo. If they’d just address much longer run times I could just change blades and deal with the rest. Motors have come a long way too though. I’ve got only stylecraft in my station at the moment but still want to give jrl a try. Might just end up with the cyborgs though.
Hello everybody, on Jun I’m going to barber school and I really love the clippers the one Instinct X. But I like to the one call Red Pro PCL02. Can you tell me which is the best of the 2?
I'm not a professional barber but, I've been cutting my hair and my kids hair for years. Always used Andis but i'm in the market for new clipper and trimmer. Have my eyes on the Saber clippers and the Gamma+ Cyborg. Specs seem to be very similar. Only difference really is the body design, LED battery level lights, and blades (which you can buy and put on the saber). Anything else I'm missing? I can find the Saber open box for $100 vs $165 for the cyborg. Any reason why you'd pay more for the Cyborg?
Hey man on the cyborg you said 4 stars for bulk but on the picture it said 3 i just wanted to confirm to which is it? It’ll help me determine what are my best options
I was looking for some new clippers. I enjoyed the informative information you put out regarding clippers. I will research and purchase one or more of the brands you listed. Great information 👍🏾
I can’t make up my mind between the JRL Onyx and the style craft instinct. I heard the instincts are really good when they work but four of the people in the shop bought some a couple months back and only one of them is still working today. As for the JLR Onyx I’ve heard that the blade that comes with it is a bit too thick. I’m more of a fade blade kind of guy so I’m really torn. Can anybody give me some good feedback on both of these that owns both or has owned both. Recently bought some Babyliss boost fx and wasn’t too impressed with the clipper. The trimmers absolutely hit though.
I have the regular Wahl white and blue clipper. They can't shave close enough and on the left right top side of my head no shaver can shave there for some reason.
Absolute class video buddy awesome work and great to hear from some other influencers and get their take! My personal go to is definitely the Instinct X class clipper #eddiesarmy
my friend.. i am a owner of x-ergo, alpha and jrl 2020c. Tell me pls.. how can you blend correctly with ergo? This thing is a monster. You've said it is forgiving. How? It hits like a trimmer. It is crazy machine. alpha and aspecially JRL are fogiving. There is something special with jrl that makes detailing fades easy and comportable. But with x-ergo.. i cannot finish my fades. I simply cannot. Even when scouping. It takes to much of hair. To fast. I am using it for debulking. It is great but fading.. Another thing. Vector motor getting hot really fast. I mean.. if i start a haircut with ergo, the whole clipper is hot. Not blade.. but clipper. I modified it a little. I have fullfilled inside of the body with isolation tape to prevent hot warming a body kit. It is better. But i hot days.. i am sweating while working with this tool. I love it.. and i would like to work with it but it is problematic. Maybe i am not understanding something or there is something wrong with me but for me , ergo is not forgiving and it is getting to warm for regular work. Or did i miss something?

@@TH-camBarberAcademy even if it’s been over a year? It died after about five or six months, but now it’s been over a year and that’s how long the warranty is. I really did LOVE my Instincts-until they died in the middle of a haircut. (Although, kids complained all the time about them being hot)

Great video!!! I agree on all that was said! The instinct, hands-down, the best clipper
Babyliss FX for fades is top 🔥 especially the short open blade length
Other than detachable clippers, I want the Cyborg clipper
Great vid showing love while getting ya point across. Love to see it🦾🔥
Although the disparity between the top 3 is minimal therefore immaterial. Any one of them could have been #1. I think you are spot on in your assessment.
Any updated link for the StyleCraft Rebels? Looks like the link to the Rebels takes you over to the Cyborg Clippers
My feelings are hurt. lol jk. Great video brother. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of it
but why Tank, whyyyy 😂 Shot to the heart bruh 💔 All love fam @tankbechoppin
@@GAMMASTYLECRAFTPROwait for the trimmer video. 🤫
@@TankBeChoppinthat fx one looks dope!
Really thought the Cyborg was going to take it. I'm a Masters fan so weight I appreciate
haven't had the pleasure of trying out either of the instincts or the rebel yet.
I grabbed a Rebel & it is my fav overall tool. 👍🏾
I have a lopro fxone and I’m honestly thinking about selling it 😂
Ergo all day for me
How do you know you’re buying the latest version of a clipper does the model number change? How do you know? For sure
Hey man when is the video for best trimmers 2024 gonna come out
Awesome job putting this video together with your amazing ideas for our industry and great review I got to see the actual whole lineup of clippers moving forward in this new year.BLESSINGS
Fire ass video señor Eddie . ! Ive been learning from you since i started cutting 4 years ago !
Finally! The video I been waiting for 🍿 commenting all throughout the video
Awesome video. Thank you . I still love my cordless masters . Now even more I have 6 masters pair of fade blade a pair improved blade ( taper blade) and now 2024 phat blade . In one week I have not 🚫 used guards ,after the 2 on the phat blade I use my metal blades on my Andis Pulsar zr two ( which has a strong motor than the supra zr two)
I think they’re the same to be honest I can’t notice the difference
@@TH-camBarberAcademy wow you reply quick ( respect) 👍.. I know these clippers you mentioned like the new JRL and instinct are great clippers, I'm only saying I love my masters and glad they making and selling today the 2024 phat blade and the OG guard too is back thank you again looking forward to checking out your videos
Hi, what do you suggest I get my boyfriend he wants to start to cut, but i want to get him a good set.
I have a question which is a quality one for a home use only Comparing new clippers in this market?
I would get the cheapest one for home use, look at the protege clipper from stylecraft it will cost you around 100 and if you use the code you will save 15%
Do you have a discount code for gamma cyborg? Couldn’t find it in the comments
thank you for this review i rely on non bias reviews, i really appreciate this
This fantastic Eddie, man.... And to have it all in one video. Im an old school Oster, Andis and Wahl guy..... And my wrist days its time to modernize.
I switched from a low volume shop to 20-25 cuts a day, and this video really helped.
Ive always liked your videos because your concise, well spoken and really deliver the goods
And the beard is looking killer!!
Thanks man appreciate that
Great video!
I prefer the gamma boosted than rebel
What happened to the Apex clipper? I thought it was at least equal to the Rebel clipper...what changed?
the X looks so cool and I've always wanted to learn how to fade properly.
TPOB’s clippers are elite. Why not include them?
😂😂😂😂
Being replaced under warranty but its the second JRL that has gone bad on me.😊
Wow really!
I really your videos on Clippers, but I noticed you didn’t mention anything about the blades, which I would be very interested in hearing more about. Because I am myself, dog groomer, and I do my own hair myself.
Bro the cocco clippers!!!! I’ve ditched my masters as well as my oster detachables ever since using them
I feel like the lo pro fx one is a phenomenal clipper. On of my go too's
Come on Eddie that new babyliss battery gets way more runtime then what is says on the box..that's a 5 star rating all day. That's way better then last year's.. let's hear it... smoke given 😊
So the battery is two hours and I should just give them five stars?
Sup Des 🤛🏾
@@TH-camBarberAcademylol the instinct say they have 4 hours of runtime but we all know they don't make it that far... so should they get 5 stars... LETS GO ED 😊

@@desmondmitchell5602this is facts , instinct no where near 4 hr , eddie i love your channel and videos but stop being biased because your sponsored by sc/gamma
I feel the Cyborg is the Saber clipper with a different body different blade. JRL and Babyliss LoPeo One would score a 20 or more. Rebels feel cheap but perform decent. I can say the Wahl and Andis have the best cutting blades!
The Cyborg does have the same motor as the Saber but don't forget the lefty lever. No other clipper has that option.
Which clipper would you recommend for a beginner? Specifically a clipper that is beautiful for fades
Love the video. Appreciate your hard work and detail. JRL Onyx is 🔥🔥🔥. Bless up!
Do you guys adjust clippers blades ? If so how much do you charge?
Nah just do it yourself, I have a bunch of maintenance vids in the short form to help
Haha thanks and yeah go COLTS you hit a better chance than we do atm lol
The new Rebels have a different motor??
Whats the difference?
They're a little quieter now
but isnt that because of the new green cam follower? whats changed with the motor
It is not the same rotary motor that was in the first one. There’s a slight update so that it can’t get oil into the top of the motor anymore than the other thing is the cam follower.
@@TH-camBarberAcademy thank you!
I have to say, I love my Rouge clipper. They are my go to.
I had a girl and it turns out she was not great with those ideas. The amazing lady I have now is creative and talented. I am glad you are interested in many types of haircuts good luck.
Thanks, and no i have not been there yet its been hard with show season winding down i think we can start looking for dates soon tho.
@@TH-camBarberAcademy thank you for answering me .. I am still watching your TH-cam videos.. I just get confused on how many clippers there are and the difference in them all .
Thank you for sharing your knowledge !
@@victoriafain7396 I hope to find a Barber one day for my salon. I would much rather that than a cosmetologist. So far if I find one they don’t show up for work nor call .
Is there a chart with a breakdown of the scores, noise levels, battery life, etc.?
Hit the nail on the head. I own the ergo and the X-ergo and those are still my top 2 go to clippers. Any cut, texture you name it these do it all! Only other clipper I think I might like more are the instincts. I dont own them but I've used them and those are the ones for sure. The rebels also own a place in my heart. I still use them from time to time
Been using gammas since they first came out with the gamma ray hitters. I set my Babyliss pro fix trimmers down and gammas have been my go to ever since 💪 💈 ❤
Saying the O.G Masters can't compete is crazy its the barber more than the clipper💯
It’s both, if you’ve got crap tools you’ll do a crap job
What is the exact name from the rebel clipper or do you have a link?
Great video appreciate all the hard work keep em coming! 🥇
Good job! I really want see why you recommend the xpro blade with the one cutter... (i wish i could add em to my slimline...) otherwise, can i add the blade to a less expensive trimmer and get the same effect, or is it really worth it to get the saber?
Yup it pretty much works great on every trimmer from style craft or gamma
@@TH-camBarberAcademyok thank you!
Eddie thank you for your video, you are always my go to if I want to know something. I am a Gamma girl, go between my Ergo and my Boosted. Decided to mix it up a bit and just orderd JRL Onyx. Ergo are my favs with taper blade
Madd respect!! You may seem a lil biased but you still speak the truth!!
So which one would your recommend for a beginner/wanna get better on fading?
There was an original Rebel? How do we know we're getting the newest version of the rebel when purchasing it?
Eddie, thanks for all your hard work ‘ the content!
I would say the rebel because the instinct has trouble going thru bulk and with clipper over comb sometimes. Rebel mows thru hair.
Which ones did you end up getting?
I can’t make up my mind between the JRL Onyx and the style craft instinct. I heard the instincts are really good when they work but four of the people in the shop bought some a couple months back and only one of them is still working today. As for the JLR Onyx I’ve heard that the blade that comes with it is a bit too thick. I’m more of a fade blade kind of guy so I’m really torn. Can anybody give me some good feedback on both of these that owns both or has owned both. Recently bought some Babyliss boost fx and wasn’t too impressed with the clipper. The trimmers absolutely hit though.
Babyliss fx one very disappointed the power feels week and when you put the guard on it gets loud and make wired noise
How can they don’t have a link to check orders updates. I bought long time and haven’t seen my stuffs
Any issues with the plastic case on the onyx?
I have the regular Wahl white and blue clipper. They can't shave close enough and on the left right top side of my head no shaver can shave there for some reason.
How do we know if we're getting the newer version of the rebel when we're purchasing them?
Can you fade just as good with all or is there a difference?
By any chance do you know how to get another charger for the Jrl clippers. Mine has gotten lost and I can’t find another one anywhere.
16:30 that rogue is a fire! Low key clipper
Great video, very informative 👏 dope way to compare clippers 🔥🔥
I just bought Andis Master Cordless. Shoud I return and get something else?
Hi, what about the Moser clippers ? Have you tried them ?
I saved 65$ with your code ! Thank you!!!!!❤
Absolute class video buddy awesome work and great to hear from some other influencers and get their take!
Thank´s for always providing value
I have a dead Instinct, and I’m a girl. I don’t have a clue how to solder. So I replaced it with the JRL Onyx, which I also love and have had no issues with.
Pretty good chance yours is part of the batch that got recalled. I would send it in and you will get a free one.
@@TH-camBarberAcademy even if it’s been over a year? It died after about five or six months, but now it’s been over a year and that’s how long the warranty is. I really did LOVE my Instincts-until they died in the middle of a haircut. (Although, kids complained all the time about them being hot)
Good job my dude keep up the great work love your videos clear well spoken tons of quality..🙌
Thanks my friend
Great video!
Thanks!
No gamma boosted?
Definitely better than the Rebel!
And no SNAPFX (Which is definitely better than the FXOne GoldFX)!
Ikr! Waaaaay better!
2024 is still going on brother.
The new black Wahl magic clips are the same machine as the old school maroon one?? I thought they did a motor upgrade
Tbh I don't think the price should have that big of an impact in the raiting, because u can easely get better prises and the prises can be different depending on where you live. Often you can also get them seconhaded much cheaper just keep that in mind. Have a good day :)
You said that Cyborg can last 6 hours, but on website is written 200minutes. I’m confused now 🤔🤔
