This is still one of the most impressive home arcades I've seen here on TH-cam. Well done! I love how it's evolved.
Thanks! I took a look over on your channel, and it looks like you've got a really nice space of your own!
That’s only something I could only dream of having. Nice to see DDR SuperNova 2 running on the J-cabinet. This really looks amazing Brian!
Thanks!
Keep dreaming. It could happen for you if you really want it. I put my first machine (the classic DDR) into a then unfinished basement way back in January of 2003. A lot has happened to get it where it stands today. You don't have to do it all at once.
This is amazing!!! Your electric bill must be insane though 😂
Worlds coolest basement! U even have Groovecoaster! A Rhythm gamers fantasy basement!
This is the absolute dream basement, it all looks incredible
how much money do I have to spend to play in this basement for one hour.... this is the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life
Hi Brian! I live in Indianapolis and was searching for a DDR cabinet to play, and someone mentioned you in a reddit post! My friend Stephen and I would love to come see your collection sometime if you'd have us, we could bring snacks :)
We should meet at Boss Battle Games in Castleton Square Mall sometime.
That carpet does so much for the overall look
It has completely exceeded my expectations. Easily the best upgrade I've done to the room. It really changes the mood and character of the space even when the games are off. It's more fun and I enjoy being there even if I'm only going to get some ice or something mundane.
Living the BEMANI arcade dream!
One day we will need to play a game. It is great to see that candy cab working!
Heck yeah! You can drive to me now! 😅
I for real must go to your basement right now play with everything
Can't go wrong with Dragon's Lair and Space Ace!!
Ha! They're sort of an acquired taste: beautiful animation combined with tedious gameplay. 😅
Thx for a great show!😊 You're the best!😊
what an awesome room u got there
Wow incredible arcade
30 years ARCADE TECH here: Man, having a basement would make things so much easier space wise, but I take my stuff to events like Magfest and conventions every so often, so having them in the house and garage is much easier when moving them in and out. I have about 20 something machines. I also have a Pop'n and DDR, and am looking to get a Groove Coaster, and juBeat eventually. I'm actively setting up two full blown arcades for both garage and house, which I plan on doing with my kids, or rather making them do it 🙂
EDIT: I also have a Dragon's Lair. One I built for model plans and an original I need to restore.
When I started >20 years ago, I decided that I wanted the games in their own space, separate from the main living area of the house. Also, I didn't feel comfortable with games like DDR on residential flooring. I figured a ~1000 lb. machine you jump on would cause floor creaking, at least...disaster, at worst. So, concrete.
Getting stuff down into the basement is a bit of a chore and the main reason I don't do loans/rentals. Every game gets a single roundtrip ticket to the basement. It can enter, stay as long as it (or I) like, and it can leave. But if it leaves, it never comes back. It's simply too much trouble getting a machine in or out to want to do it more than once each, once in a while.

BTW, I'd love to see your setup when you get it done! :D
Looks amazing
It’s so cleeeeeaaannnn ❤😉
This Looks awesome you should Stream
Hi Brian, amazing set up! Also trying to comment here incase it was missed on the last video. My friend and I are looking for a dance machine we used to play as children at our local arcade. I believe it was Japanese it had three light up foot pads almost in a triangle formation and two hand sensors, you could wave at the bottom or the top of the sensor - do you know what this machine is at all?’
Thanks! And I answered your question on your comment in the other video. 😅
Holy hell, this is incredible
I assume you're running Sinobuz because you don't have a CB or LM PC?
Your assumption is correct. My machine came as 4th Style running on Twinkle. It's already seen a lot of upgrades over the years. I don't really play IIDX enough anymore to have kept up with the latest. There's still so much I've never played even up to Sinobuz. But I do play the newer stuff sometimes when I go to Round1.
Are you planning to have DDR A3 as well?
Hey brianho25 i gotta say do you like the music banzai by misa was appears on DDR strike playstation 2 JP it also has albums dancemania happy paradise and misa code.

Are the classic laserdisc games still running their original laserdisc players or are they running with Dexter boards?
I converted them to Dexter in 2018 and 2019. Both still had working laserdisc players when they were converted, but I knew that it was only a matter of time before they would fail.
Dragon's Lair had a "newer" (90s era) Sony laserdisc player inside with an appropriate adapter board to interface it with the mainboard. That conversion had been done before I owned the machine.
Space Ace still had its original player inside, but it was getting flaky. It would freeze or skip after running for about 40 minutes. I worked on it and got it to work reliably for about 3-4 hours before it would have to take a break.
The players are still inside their respective cabinets. I haven't tried them since doing the conversions, but I suppose I could someday if I'm feeling nostalgic for slow/clunky scene transitions and maintenance headaches. 🤣
yo what. was that a cab with Magical Drop on it?
It is! It's a Super Neo 29 candy cabinet. There's a Neo Geo 4-slot in there. Bust A Move, Puzzle de Pon, Magical Drop 2, and Money Puzzle Exchanger were installed when this video was shot.
What I'd give to have all that
Daytonaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
It comes sailing over all the other sounds in several places in this video. I love it! 🤣
Do you plan to update your IIDX to a more current version like Resident?
Not really. I don't really play IIDX that much anymore and there's so much content up to Sinobuz that I've never played and will likely never make it through as it is.
I do play the newer games when I go out though.
@@brianho25 Ah that's understandable. I'm a stickler for newer styles despite the amount of content so I would want as close to latest as I could get on my cabinet if I owned one, but that's just me, to each their own. But I totally get where you're coming from. Yeah I do as well it's nice to have the new games available at Round 1.
BTW your arcade is amazing! This is my dream to have one day! Congrats man :)
Must be noisy af
I don't normally keep attract audio on. I just did it for this video to have a more natural sound instead of a soundtrack. But when people come over and a bunch of games are getting played, sure...it can get noisy. 😅
