A few years ago I installed a gimbal with a GoPro, on an FX 79 flying wing, it worked very well. But it was heavy, cumbersome to transport, nothing like this plane. today there are lighter and especially smaller gimbals, maybe I should try again.
The gimbal effect is bizarre, disorienting really but the video is pretty cool, useful even so I can see it working. I looked to get one of these planes but it seemed a little sketch, do you know if they plan on sending this to US retailers?
Thank you very much for your interest. We are currently working on establishing an official retail platform in the United States. The Kickstarter delayed subscription service will be available until June 15th, and the early bird price is still very favorable!
@@HAOHANInnovation I appreciate your response! I do like the plane I’ve just been burned by kickstarters before so I would rather wait and pay more money and buy from a store. But it’s a cool plane and I hope to see you guys do well selling them. The moment they’re in a store, I’ll buy at least one.
@@BabaYagaFPV We are thrilled to hear that you're interested! Our overseas official store will be up and running soon, and we can assure you that the price of FireFly won't be much higher - it will remain affordably priced! Thank you for your continued attention and support.
Hey man! I was searching for some infor on the Zohd Drift and I saw your video pop up and realized I hadn't seen you in a bit. Hope all is well and hope to see you posting videos again soon.
Hey man, appreciate you checking in 🙂 I've had quite a lot going on last few months so have taken a bit of time off from TH-cam, however I've got some new stuff in the pipeline so should be back to posting soon 😊
Best launch I've seen so far. The ability to have gimbal lock to a fixed position will be useful for some parts of flight, like when doing tuning; but can really see the potential that having a stabilized gimbal offers. Very nice flight, and amazing coastal scenery. Since the Pocket radio doesn't have any sliders to use as a pan control, perhaps putting the rudder/gimbal on a switch would allow alternating between rudder/pan, or mix so pans in the direction of a turn. Experimenting with different ways to use the gimbal should be fun. :)
I have one of these gimbals. Did you notice in the full stabilization mode it didnt do a good job keeping the horizon level? Mine is the same and it can quickly drift to 40deg or more off level. I haven't calibrated it. Not convinced it will help as it knows level when powered up. Its a common problem with gimbals. I believe they plan to add mavlink support. Coms with FC may help the level issue. Im also having a problem with sbus. The home function dosent work and it jitters at some angles. PWM seems ok. See my last vid.
I think for the price, the Atom Dolphin flies just as good, maybe better. It flies at lower amps also. Of course if you’re a gimbal person, that’s what the Firefly is suited for. I was thinking about getting one, but the landings for the Firefly or hit and miss and the potential for front nose breakage. My Dolphin flies great and is much cheaper and I can get replacement parts. Thanks for the flight.
The whole point of this plane is that it has a gimbal. If you ignore the gimbal- there are millions of planes which do everything else better- including the dolphin. Why are you randomly comparing this to a dolphin ?
Fyi ,,Mine is 12 volt to 24 volt? Its for caddex. And they have 2 firmwares in the manul/app download folder. Mines still in the box the app is on there site under support
Are you talking about our HEQ Gport gimbal? Now the updated voltage range is 12V-18V. And you can download the latest firmware, this new firmware supports locking axis
However much battery you put in it, that's an impossible number to calculate without knowing a lot of factors. It depends on your transmitters, antennas, battery size, battery type, flight conditions and average amp draw.
Hook the gimbal up to a head tracker, might be a lot more interesting to fly
What a nice spot your home zone is. So beautyful. 👍🌅

So did it come with a Walksnail Avatar? Is it worth getting just the airframe and putting your own flight controller and VTX?

Giz what setting do you use for your Pro camera in the WalkSnail camera settings menu? Imagine from the dvr looks really good.
Fantastic flying, dude! Really fun airplane! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Looks pretty good with the gimbal setup.
its should have a mode that follows the plane but with some kind of filter to avoid fast snaps

Can you tell me what video editor you're using these days please..?...Is it free?....Sick of mine making such huge files..🤔😳🇬🇧
Are we getting a build tutorial with this plane?
how come none of these airplanes have landing sleds or something like that ?
I guess they think we’ll crash anyway so might as well save some money ha
How much range in km have this ?
Thank you.
Great flight and the view is awesome good job
interested in how it goes for long range efficiency
Looks like you’re turning with the rudder rather than the ailerons
What gimble are you using ?

@@johnsmith-cn5yv Also most Dolphin FPV setups are just a boring fixed camera view which belies the maneuverability and speed of the Dolphin
Some way to stow/protect the gimbal during landing would be nice
Where you been?
Nice , how do you feel about the landing.
Looks very well built but I just cant get over the look of the thing - wouldnt want to fly it

Do we know anything about pricing yet?
Check out my previous video. Near the beginning I list the prices there
