Actually, that’s a way different story than the history presented here. This feels like a certain period of time, and the countries and parts of the world affected, by the settler colonialism, that he referred to specifically. Because to understand old world history, that is affecting the establishment of a western democracy in the Middle East, such as Israel, you have to go back to the beginning of agricultural-urbanization, and all of the rising and falling of civilizations and empires, for the past 10,000 years, ever since the domestication and farming of nonhuman and human animals began in the Indus Valley region. And how the male domination and male human superiority ego complex has been in constant conflict and battle with each other, and the masses that they entrench, enslave and militarize, to use force against adversaries, and to conquer, and take over their lives and lands. Israel is seeking to be a pillar of freedom and democracy in the face of patriarchal-totalitarianism, that is Islamic states and societies. And Islam has existed for 1413 years, being nothing but a straight up colonizing, dominating, violent force, and religious indoctrination. Israel has a right to exist and to defend itself against such evil tyranny. And Islam is what needs to be banned.
They left it out for a reason: It's because Arabs went on conquests & settled into Palestine & if they added Israel, it would be seen as ironic as Israel existed before Palestine.
Would highly recommend Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz’s “An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States” where I learned the term “settler colonialism”. I think she made an important note that to quoter her, “Settler colonialism, as an institution or system, requires violence or the threat of violence to attain its goals. People do not hand over their land, resources, children, and futures without a fight, and that fight is met with violence.” Please check out the book to get a full understanding of U.S. history!
Thank you for the recommendation, will check it out. I do agree there is a strong threat of violence with the intention of taking over the land and culture of the place being colonised.
Why don't people talk about settler colonialism amongst Europeans? It's really distinctive. Some people don't even understand their own people's lived experiences ive leant. Once you really know what is settling or attempting to settle then everything else that follows it good or bad structurally can be looked into more practically.
Only coincidence that necklines on women came down in Europe for awhile as recommended by all of the fashion houses there back then? My guess is that just before that the poufing up of skirt area fabric happened first as it was starting to look like another large scale conflict was winding to only another temporary close. In the cycle called coersive control which the U.K. and France has now outlawed in their fforts during reconciliation.Has Australia, Canada and U.S. kept up with those allies of ours on that too or are they only being wet blankets about that right now when fearing about what could go on in Alaska too next. Thanks to Russian style colonialsim too. Colonialism going round and round the world like a dog chasing its tail in the assumption that the leaders of that sort of think can in an instant and geographical location report too tell if an individual is a belliever. Believer in what when doing that sort of thing is something they have failed to ask themselves when often barking out orders like, "Secure the Donbass part of Russia all along [Or else]."
Hey that's just like all the Africans and Syrians flooding in to Europe and the mass amounts of illegal immigrants flooding over American borders every day! I always love how the Native Americans did the same exact thing to each other for thousands of years, but for some weird reason that's never mentioned
Comparing historical conflicts among Native American tribes to contemporary immigration issues is such an oversimplification! Historical contexts, cultural dynamics, and geopolitical factors vary significantly. Please approach each situation with nuance and empathy rather than making simplistic comparisons for political agends!
The exact same thing? A handful of Indigenous nations completely depriving the rest of their land and sovereignty and reducing their land bases to reserves/reservations? Beating their languages and cultures out of them in residential schools? But for the sake of argument, let us pretend that Indigenous peoples did all that to each other. It would still not excuse the existence of settler colonial states today.

@Mr_What_Is no, it's not right. That's why it's a fallen human nature thing, not a racial thing. Don't forget that all tribes, of all colors, fight for dominance.
@@bassdvant It is a racial thing when one group believes in Manifest destiny. The Europeans believed that they were destined to expand across North America because they were a superior race compared to the "savages" that were living on the land at the time.
All lands have been colonised and settled many, many many times in the last 2 million years and will continue to do so as population migration continues apace.
You left out Israel.
Absolutely

I would've also added Northern Ireland and Israel, but Westerners are not ready for that conversation
Why are you giving Islamists a pass? Because they’re brown?
Northern Irish are Irish according to unionists and nationalist, so no they are not classified as so called "settlers".
@@Carrjimbo I was referring to the unionists
Israel as well is settler colonialism
What do you call Islamic imperialism, and colonization?

Colonization was and is wrong
What are you doing about it? Have you boycotted the animal agriculture industry, worldwide, yet?

Neo marxist socialist racist propaganda tripe used to divide societies / cultures and humans against each other in order to achieve its agendas.

Yes but if we don't learn of history, we are bound to repeat it!
Let's not forget that this is a human failure not a racial thing. It's inevitable that a stronger culture will conquer a weaker one.
