Okay so good video overall, I'd like to know how to deal with a mix of widowmines and siegetanks tho. Since me as a zerg player have a hard time countering both since zerglings or banelings must be used aganist the tanks and widowmines just take care of them easily
Tanks & Mines can be a death trap for Ling-Bane. I've been finding success with adding in Hydras to the Ling-Bane in the mid-game (Hydra Den at ~50-60 drones), and even more when I can turn them into Lurkers later. I'm inclined to say your best bet is adding Lurkers to your army; the Hydras can help you survive long enough to get them & their Hive-tech upgrades. If the game goes long, Vipers might be needed (Blinding Cloud / Abduct to break tank lines), but I'd try the Lurkers first.
I love your unit guides (I watched basically all of them). By accident I discovered how well widow mines work against heavy air units such as Carriers or Battle Cruisers. It requires 4 widow mines to get a carrier down within a second. And with the shield bonus, definitely a must for games against protoss
The Liquipedia article indicates that the sentinel missiles ignore unit armor and upgrades, counting as a static spell-type damage. I'm having a hard time verifying that anywhere else though, is this true? I also saw from the past three patches that the red laser now indicates the presence of an armory instead of the drilling claws, and that drilling claws is now slower (1.07s from 0.71s) but also applies to both burrow AND unburrow. Probably not worth a whole updated video, but definitely worth noting. Thanks for all the educational materials, Indigos!
No problem. In the mean time.. I'm not sure what you are referring to about air vs ground mode, Thors have 2 anti-air modes, which I will absolutely go over.
Thanks for the video! Almost accidentally came across a widow mine drop build while playing vs ai (I'm new trying to unlock ranked, mech player aswell :D) was really confused as to where they got concealment from, luckly I build my armory right after factory Can anyone reading this tell me if 2 depo, 1 barrack (standard) into reactor, factory for 4 widowmines, transition that factory into hellbats is good? Looks decent if I could figure out how to actually drop well (and not play vs ai that spam stationary defense). AND, is lib Thor seige hellbat good? Or should I go viking (I love liberators)
If you're doing a Widow Mine drop opener, you will obviously want to build the Starport as you are making the Widow Mines (to line up production of a Medivac with the Mines). After that though, a traditional Mech build would favor a few Siege Tanks to play defensively as you secure 3-4 bases & additional Factories. Hellbats can be helpful, but usually only in niche counter scenarios (e.g. opponent has many Zerglings / Zealots), or as a mineral dump in the late game. Liberators, likewise, are awesome, but not a usual pick for Mech (Bio-Liberator is great vs "Ground Protoss" though). I'd recommend experimenting with Vikings or Battlecruisers, since Mech tends to lack a solid anti-air until Thors are out in respectable numbers.
If you're asking about a guide for Tempests, it's already done & up on the channel. If you're asking about using Tempests vs Widow Mines... they should fare reasonably well, so long as you have something to spot the Mines. I'd recommend an Oracle using Revelation to help with that.
The majority of the guide is made using the LOTV Unit Tester, which can be found in the Arcade section. The brief footage from the match starting at 4:57 is from the map Pride of Altaris.
Widow Mine takes out a mineral line...

As far as I know, the Widow Mine's missile is considered spell damage!
Emotional damage 😂. I love your videos. You have a very good pedagogy. Thank you.
They used to ride motorcycles…
Can you make a Thor guide? The difference between the air and ground mode! Thanks
Absolutely! I will designate Thors to be the next Terran unit guide.
@@IndigosGaming thanks! I am waiting for it

Thor guide is up! th-cam.com/video/93yUGXoTqeQ/w-d-xo.html
It's not obvious that the Armoury keeps them cloaked during the recharge!
Window mines are basically terran versions of zerg ground units due to they burrow into the ground and ambush enemy units.
Tank with lots of widow mines is really good agianst mass stalkers in my opinion

Can you please do another in depth marine one please
What info is missing from the current Marine guide that you were hoping to find?
Tempests?

name of the map?
