Hey skill, I really liked that you quickly showed the worst weaknesses of the tank in armor viewer so we saw just how bad they are. I also liked overall the structure of the video. If you ask me there should be more of these reviews in the future!

Current wot meta, fast tank, decent gun n alpha for trade, decent armor. Slow super heavies with long reload is not worth. Especially premium tanks. Glad I din put my money on this tank.
the problem here though.....if you look closely at the highlights............many of the highlights as they are being flashed through already show 1000-2000 blocked damage. If armor isn't working, well where is the block damage coming from?
@@demetrioshristovski4518 The problem is that this armor just isn't reliable. Sure, you can bounce lower pen guns, but the moment someone loads gold or just has enough base penetration to make your armor irrelevant, suddenly you are in for a world of pain.
@@AliceC993 armor should not be reliable. When armor starts appearing like 279E, 705A, Badger, 263 it becomes toxic for the game. I have been playing the game since 2011. And armor would typically be like Tiger II or IS3, pretty hard but aiming at them even AP will fairly easy penetrate. That is gone. They are turning newer medium tanks into part heavy, like TM122, obj274A, AMBT and are making heavy tanks fast like mediums, WZ1111115A, IS7, 260, 277, Renegade, Concept. There isn't any balance left in the game.
I have this tank and enjoy it quite a lot. You have to play the tank as though it has no armor and let yourself be surprised when it bounces shots. It can definitely suffer in many situations and I wouldn’t consider it a competitive tank. Play carefully and get those 490 alpha hits in when you have the opportunity and you can have a big impact on the match.

Overall I really liked the format of the video. It was a nice touch showing those painful moments alongside the good ones, as well as some variety in regard to the random battle experience. I also think the brief armor model demonstration is a good idea, as it highlighted something important: tanks with flat armor really rely on the nominal penetration of the guns they're up against. If an enemy has decent pen and accuracy, it won't really matter how much you angle or how much of the tank you hide, since there will always be a weak spot present.

Good format, only complaint is that the montage of being penned and missing was a bit too long. Could be shorter, or if you want to show it all, split it up into a few sections with some talking between them.

not a burned pancake when we talk about the video style. talking about the tank - well this might be a "burned pancake". looks like the tank can have its moments of glory, but all tanks can have it. in germany we say "even the blind chicken may find a grain of corn from sometimes".
I like this format. Although, in 3 games videos I appreciated seeing where you take the tank. Maybe picking up three games and demonstrate the strengths and weaknesses on those?

You can overmatch the TURRET (top) with any 122mm Cannon (like in an IS Tank, Tier 7..) with AP, no Issue....

@@rembrandt2323 even if people don't remember it, the tank is tall. Most people won't even be able to hit the overmatch under normal circumstances, and in elevation situations you are better off overmatching the top of the hull as its a bigger target.
I really enjoy your videos, and am learning a lot. One thing that would really help would be if you could intro each tank with the details - like this tank is a Tier 8 German premium heavy from the collectors section. I'd like to know especially if the tank is a tech tree tank, and if not, then how to get it.

In regards what you just said about an opinion of someone thats got the tank
The armor, when you face someone that knows its easily penetrable in the turrent cheeks with gold, it is quite hard. But that is not as much frustrating as the gun handling. I have managed to fix that issue with gun handling pretty well with Vstab, rammer and improved aiming. But everything for bonds or trophy 2nd tier

@@FitzAF It is basically the VK 45.02 B (tier 9) scaled down to tier 8. On a serious note, that tank line performs very poorly. The tier 8 has large, paper weakspots with a decent gun, the tier 9 has an okay armor profile with a fairly good gun, and the tier 10 is just sad. Not to mention you have to grind the Tiger P to even access it.

i use "reverse tactic " on that tank . stay behind rock or building tank turned backwards so not much sticks out ,creating a minimum of hit surface for enemy ,that way you also can go back into cover faster .lol as C.Kellerman say's they all spamming gold like a mofo ,so better make surface to be penned as small as possible ;)

Thanks Skill, the worst parts of this video seem to be my tanks all the time. I've twice not penetrated a 30mm thick Caliban hull front on, or not penned Borats front or side on, or Leopards, something it should be impossible to do😣

When they were selling tanks on the advent calendar, I would spend the 300 gold for the 5x missions. When it got to this tank, it said I had it in the garage. I did not remember buying it, & was puzzled by this, but I took their word for it & clicked the 300 gold. They took 8000 gold & gave me the tank. I was hornswagled for sure.
I have never outfitted it, nor took it out.
When I bought this tonk, I thought this behave like VK72.01K which is I love the most. But this tonk is completely different from him. When I side scrape with this, pen by everyone turret, turret ring, Cheek. Its sucks.

They could fix it by giving it 530 alpha like E75/E100 have on same calliber gun and slighltly more DPM ... or make armor work.

Hey skill, i have a question: is it true that WG is planning to remove the obj 260 campaign?
Skill I disagree with you in some parts for example the weak spots on this vehicle are very similar to the weak spots on Tiger 2 which is in epic category. Of course Tiger 2 gun handling, DPM etc. are better but in this vehicle you trade alpha for other things. Thats why I think this vehicle is a bit underrated. Imo it is playable at worst and good in the hands of a very experienced heavy tank player. (Also I think most of the heavy tanks suffer from gold spam not only this vehicle. I respect your opinion totally but I think a bit different of this vehicle, however a buff to the vehicle would be great, like how they buffed Löwe in the past.)
Tiger 2 has a gun. A VERY good gun. Better mobility and dpm. Turret weak points are much smaller.
@@Bagheera2 only the cupola is smaller, and by a small margin. The Tiger 2's cheeks are a big, flat mess of a weakspot that is just as easy to hit as the VK 75.01 K. People always shoot the Tiger 2's cheeks than the cupola any day of the week. What makes the Tiger 2 good is the gun being a tier 8 god, not the armor.
@Proud To be White oddly enough i like my vk, and its usually only about 30 bucks. Its not bad for the price. And like my first game could have been a POOLS medal but i missed 2 shots. Actually it was just one, i loaded he and did not pen 1 wheelie. Its...workable.
@@kalsyphr5039 no. The mamylet eats up much of that surface area. Also remember the turret was buffed, and can withstand a lot more punishment. That cupola on the vk is a much larger target than you realize.
@@Bagheera2 except it doesn't, the amount of flat surface on the turret of the Tiger 2 is still significant enough to easily hit even at mid ranges with heavy tank accuracy. The Tiger 2's turret is only marginally smaller than the VK. I have a much easier time killing Tiger 2's than VK's because there are people like you think the Tiger supposedly has fantastic, hard-to-hit turret armor when it doesn't. Tier 8 gold ammo melts through the turret as easy as the the VK, but the Tiger needs to expose itself far more than the VK.

That was a very good performance of the VK. Nice that not only the good but also the bad is said about the tank. I also like the examples with the disadvantages. Nobody has done that before. The performance was top notch
Yeah the tank isn't best but I actually like VK75 and I can enjoy playing it.

I've just unlocked it last night. How is the tank compared to the 45.02B? Is it similar in employment during the battle for you? It's still SURELY an upgrade, since 90% of my matches were already Tier X in my 45.02B... I struggled in this line because I'm absolutely not patient. I did *better* when I was.
@@doelbaughman1924 I would definitely say it is exactly the same as the VK 45.02 B tier for tier. Literally identical in every way possible, only one is a tier up. I'm surprised Skill rated this tank so poorly, I would have expected it to be playable (that's where I would put it with my experience at least).
Thanks! On any given map, are there any tips you'd like to share? Hull down obviously... I've found lighting the 45.02 on 🔥 is about as easy as urinating on it. If you think it's playable, I'm dying to know how. Lol. I've even tried reverse/backwards shooting to keep the front from showing at a corner, to very limited results.
@@doelbaughman1924 the trick with these tanks are baiting shots for trades. You have to employ the angled turret strategy then return fire with the large alpha. In situations when people are not spamming gold, you can side scrape and max out your dps for as long as possible. When you have to expose your front armor, always stay at an angle from your target and adjust according to where they aim.
Fully agree skill.. This tank depends the humor of rng god.
Sometimes the RNG god decides the battles, i have some replays with a lot of shots that was impossible to lose buut... You know..

Best feature of this tank seems to be its ability to make Liberte look good.
The Liberte is good though, it certainly aged better than the Patriot when it comes to how the meta and powercreep shifted.
I didn't enjoy this format as much but that said it wasn't bad and refinement might get me onboard
Yeh, when this tank first came out it was just "ok", and could still make it work. Now? No. It needs to have buff like WG did with Lowe and Super Pershing to make it usable once again....maybe a slight tweak to gun handling would be great too.

Nah. We have QB for serius commentary on tanks. You are here to get straight into the battle, bounce a first shot and then say "Wait a second. What is the penetration on this rounds?"

It all comes down to personal preference and play style. But VK75k vs VK45P(Tier 8). I take the 75k every day of the week. VK45 vs tier 10 is way worse.... For me that is...
Not just you, the VK 45.02 A is a terrible tank. Tbh im surprised Skill ranks it higher than the VK 75.01 K, the latter is inferior in literally everything but Skill has it at playable for some odd reason.

2:36 Yes, this brings back all the nightmares. Despite the lower plate, cupula and pen failures, I manage to have a 50% win rate with this VK, but it is only the inner masochist in me that makes me take this tank out.
if you angle the lower plate it has one of the strongest hulls of any tier 8 lol
and it has 226 base pen... if you are having pen issues, its not the tanks fault.
@@JMaherWRX I believe that most of the failure to penetrate shots are caused more by the guns poor aim time and snap-shot abilities then the AP pen of 226.
You know, some of those bounces/misses really question if its not just intentional. "You performed to well so lets make you bounce of 130mm armor while having 225mm penetration, again and again and again and again cause reasons".
Wouldn´t even be surprised if the 25% rng turns out to be fake and in reality its +25-50% just to ensure you bounce more often and dab the 2 key.

If you're looking for a specific tank information then this format is beneficial. However when you just want to see the battles - either live or best of - the old format is more entertaining.
And that's why you can easily find both kinds of videos featuring this tank.

VK 75.01 need 3km/h more, a bit better gun handling, and 100hp more.
oh and better 0.2 better dispersion.
Tanks with the turret behind, should have better stabilization, so the low accuracy is strange.
Even the obj 705 and 705A and IS-M should have a bit better accuracy.
The K-91 line with turret behind has good accuracy for example, and thats more realistic.
