Working Memory and Reading

Holding information or ideas and concepts from earlier parts of the reading is essential to make sense of subsequent sections.
One must retain sentences, paragraphs, and chapters in this mental workspace to make connections to subsequent content.
This mental workspace that holds and manipulates information in real time is known as Working Memory.
