Hey guys, today we're going to see the world's largest religious structure. When people ask: "What is the largest religious structure in the world?" People generally think it would be a church or a mosque. but no, it is a Hindu Temple, but it's not located in India it's located in Cambodia. And this is not a recent structure either, it was built many many centuries ago. And this is very big, so let us go take a look and see how it looks.
I am at the temple's parking lot and I am leaving my bike here, this is very strange because I don't see any temple towers at all. I have visited a lot of temples, and when I usually park my car or bike, I will see the temple towers, but I don't see the towers of Angkor Wat temple. I am confused about this. Why is this happening? The authorities tell me that I have to walk for nearly 10 minutes before I start seeing the temple towers. First, I have to cross this massive lake, you see this lake, it is huge, I cannot even see the land on the other side, and it is in the way of the temple. I walk for nearly 5 minutes, and then I observe something very strange. I look on the banks of the lake, and I am shocked. Even though the banks are completely covered with bushes and trees, I can see neatly cut, giant rectangular stone blocks, aligned all around the bank. This is NOT a natural lake. This is an artificial water body called moat, created by ancient builders. I mean this is extraordinary, how were they able to create such a large moat, which almost looks like a lake? See this is why I had to park my bike outside the moat, the moat completely surrounds the temple on all four sides. And how big is this moat? Normally, when we talk about manmade structures, we use units like feet or meters, but this is the largest structure in the world, these units are too small, we have to use Kilometers and miles for this one. The moat stretches for 1.3 kilometers from South to North, and 1.5 Kilometers from East to West. So it is approximately 1 mile each way and it completely surrounds the temple on all four sides with a perimeter of a whopping Five and a half kilometers, that is about three and a half miles.
My first thought is, how could they dig such a moat with human hands? According to historians, this was created at least 900 years ago with no more than digging sticks, spades and shovels. And experts claim it was built in just a few years. How is this possible? May be this moat was possible because it is only one or two feet deep, this would have reduced the amount of manual work. It looks like lake because we see it from the land, but maybe it is only 1 or 2 feet deep, we can't see the depth of it from the outside.
I am very curious to find the depth of the moat, so I walk around the moat to see if I could find more evidence. Most people you see are tourists, so I need to find Cambodians who work here, so they can give me authentic information about its depth.
And then, I see something crazy. People are using boats in this moat! These people are working in Angkor Wat temple complex and they actually have several boats which go around the moat every day, and they clean out unwanted plants. They take a long stick and keep swirling it in the water, and watch how many plants comes out of the water. They tell me that the moat is 12 to 25 feet deep, this is an astounding depth, and to dig a moat of this magnitude, with such depth is just insane.
Imagine digging an artificial lake which stretches for one mile each way that is 12 to 25 feet deep, 900 years ago. And some experts will argue that ancient people of Cambodia were barbarians, so they captured millions of slaves, and they forced them to dig this moat with brute force. But this moat was not constructed crudely or hastily, it was built with perfection in mind, the workers must have been talented artisans, not unskilled slaves. How did they construct such a giant structure, which still fools most of the tourists into believing that they are looking at a beautiful natural lake? How did they arrange giant stone blocks all around the moat, both on the outer side, and on the inner side, creating a perfect architecture. If we look carefully, we can see the stone steps going into the water, as far as we can see. How deep do these stone steps go?

Good job Praveen! I really appreciate it, a lot of interesting information, I bet Angkor Wat wasn't a temple from the beginning, it is crystal clear that was built by a very ancient advanced civilization. This a solid proof in front of our eyes that this structure can't be replicated.

Who else likes the way praveen says the word 'extraordinary'? The ancient Hindus are what we currently need to be researching heavily. They were truly amazing builders and the secrets of how other cultures around the world constructed their own giant buildings and temples is encoded within structures such as the 'extraordinary' angor wat. Thank you praveen for everything you do. 🙏

Hi Praveen, this comment is about the Olakkaneswara Temple video I just saw.
I must tell you that in the old portuguese map you show, you say it is written "das lamparas" (the lights) but after checking it, in fact it is written "das campanas" (the bells) and the little guys who blow the conch prove it (sound is used). So I think it was used as our old churches did to alert the city by ringing them. And of course you have three of them and can be used simultaneously or not, depending of the danger or the situation.
Furthermore, it would be easier to have to ring bells than to set fires.
I hope this late comment will be useful and perhaps help to understand better the purpose and the history of this structure.I hope you will read this comment and perhaps make some corrections in your understanding and explanations if you think what I say is right.
Nevertheless, I think you are doing a very hard and good job by opening the eyes and minds of your viewers.
Keep going my friend it is always a pleasure to see your videos.

    • @Varanasibabu
      @Varanasibabu ปีที่แล้ว

well it cant be a church as there were carvings of hindu culture and idols like lord shiva on the outer walls and secondly about bells it is very hard to nevigate ships at night specially during foggy days and nights. so fire makes more sense as it is ancient LIGHT house. BTW the structure is at a very strategic place for a light house and from that distance u r gonna need to produce much more sound theough bells.

    • @jeanvilches4049
      @jeanvilches4049 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@Varanasibabu Hello JaiHanuman, in my comment I never said it was a church, I said this building had bells like we do in our churches in Spain, read again my comments and you will agree.
About the bells, i wrote that in the ancient portuguese map, Praveen thought it was written lamparas (lamps) but it is written campanas (bells).
In ancient times do you think you set a fire to be seen by invaders or pirates or do you ring an alarm to alert your population, from a potential danger?
I think they used that kind of alert because in the past they suffer bad invasions and to avoid that, this construction is in the right place to allow the watchers to do easily their job. Enjoy.

    Hey, Praveen!
I’m Cambodian. I do really appreciate on several videos about what is the myth behind those constructions. Well, most of Cambodian believe that the moat is to keep away the enemies when they come on boat to ambush the Angkor Wat, but do little say that this is the groundbreaking brilliance architectural system to keep the Angkor Wat standing until these days (Some pointed out that beneath is the sand in which perfectly constructed and well-prepared )
Surprisingly , if you are able to take a look at the irrigation system from the Kulen Mountain, that would have kept you more interested. Keep up, I am your fan ;)

Taj Mahal actually has good grounds and recorded records for it being built on a older structure presumably far less grandiose structure, but that structure only served as the foundation. You can see pretty clearly where one construction stops and the other begins. But yes Ankor Wat is 40 times more impressive easily, even before you factor in it being part of a actual city complex.

Loving all of your content! For me water seems to have a close relationship to a lot of ancient stone structures. This method of surrounding stones with water or installing large water tanks underneath and around is interesting. To it speaks of hydro power of some kind. The methods are often very similar. I have a feeling that the ancients had a level of technology which was based around how sound, or frequency waves can affect water with pressure and solar heat. This seems to me a good explaination for the size as well as particular types of stones used. Becoming a big fan, thank you Praveen

Advancement of any civilization is advancement on all levels because firstly their brain has to be evolved enough to think about these things and then build them. And an evolved brain think about all things on that evolved level. If you are saying that nasa can build space stations in outer space then can they not make missiles or can they not direct that solar power they use for satellites and direct its beam to be used as weapon. I live in the west and havnt got knowledge about the age of the temples and buildings you are researching Pravin. You always tell the age of the temples is like approximately 800 to 1000 years. But they look much much older in so many cases. Krishna spoke the Bhagavad Gita 5000 years ago and in the Srimad Bhagavatam we learn about India's history from millions of years ago.
In the Mahābhārata (Śānti-parva 348.51-52) we can trace out the history of the Gītā as follows:
tretā-yugādau ca tatovivasvān manave dadaumanuś ca loka-bhṛty-arthaṁsutāyekṣvākave dadauikṣvākuṇā ca kathitovyāpya lokān avasthitaḥ
"In the beginning of the millennium known as Tretā-yuga this science of the relationship with the Supreme was delivered by Vivasvān to Manu. Manu, being the father of mankind, gave it to his son Mahārāja Ikṣvāku, the king of this earth planet and forefather of the Raghu dynasty, in which Lord Rāmacandra appeared.
Therefore, Bhagavad-gītā existed in human society from the time of Mahārāja Ikṣvāku."
At the present moment we have just passed through five thousand years of the Kali-yuga, which lasts 432,000 years. Before this there was Dvāpara-yuga (800,000 years), and before that there was Tretā-yuga (1,200,000 years). Thus, some 2,005,000 years ago, Manu spoke the Bhagavad-gītā to his disciple and son Mahārāja Ikṣvāku, the king of this planet earth. The age of the current Manu is calculated to last some 305,300,000 years, of which 120,400,000 have passed.
Accepting that before the birth of Manu the Gītā was spoken by the Lord to His disciple the sun-god Vivasvān, a rough estimate is that the Gītā was spoken at least 120,400,000 years ago; and in human society it has been extant for two million years. It was respoken by the Lord again to Arjuna about five thousand years ago. That is the rough estimate of the history of the Gītā, according to the Gītā itself and according to the version of the speaker, Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa. It was spoken to the sun-god Vivasvān because he is also a kṣatriya and is the father of all kṣatriyas who are descendants of the sun-god, or the sūrya-vaṁśa kṣatriyas.
So Vedic culture is so incredibly old, that I think some of these ancient temples and artifacts must come from those ancient times. 🙏

But in kaliyug ..these Kshatriya lineages have been corrupted by the forces of the age...those lineages are still preserved but those men of old who used to tremble the earth with their might have become a stuff of legends all of which are also distorted and changed by globalist powers..
Those Vikings, those nephilim were none other than the famed Kshatriya lineages of sun god Surya and lunar god Chandra Dev.

Mr Devarsairat ur right about the age of Angakor Watt yes it is much more older than what Parveen describes in video but the problem is that there are religions against Hinduism they will start to torture Praveen by questions to avoid such nonsense contraversies he cannot tell full truth also today's misguided and fooled generations by Congress in India after 1947 they put fabricated word ""mythology"" to Indian Epics like Bhagvat Geeta, Ramayana, Mahabharata but these fools don't realise that science also cannot prove many things but they are assumed e.g E=mc^2 cannot be proved but is assumed similarly Air, electricity cannot be shown but felt
The age described by u will only be accepted when they will belive Bhagvat Geeta, Ramayana and Mahabharata are not mythology but History 🙏🙏

I feel Ankor wat as a nuclear facility being covered with water...used as a coolant. The answer to the questions raised by Praveen may be found in the temple carvings. It is said that that this temple was abandoned in a hurry. A good video by Praveen. I am eager to visit Cambodia. Will start saving from today....
