Unfortunately, more than half of such temples and structures have been destroyed by Muslim invaders over a period of 1000 years, that is from early 8th to 17 century and the target was whole of Northern part of Bharata. The sun is just 1 amongst billions of stars, there are few planets in our solar system but only earth has life even though we share the same sun, it's earth proximity to the sun that allows for life, few inches too close it would be too hot, few inches away would be too cold to sustain life..rather than worshiping the sun earth moon stars blah blah why not worship the one creator how made all this..also use ur head
Did some calculation I hope you find it useful The Sun Temple at Modhera is currently located about 16.5 kilometers south of the Tropic of Cancer. The Tropic of Cancer moves northward at a rate of approximately 0.15 degrees per year, which means it takes 60 years for it to move one degree. Based on this, it takes around 9 years for the Tropic of Cancer to move 0.15 degrees, which is the current distance between the temple and the Tropic of Cancer. Assuming that the Sun Temple was aligned with the Tropic of Cancer, it means the temple was located where the Tropic of Cancer was 9 years ago. Therefore, the time when the Sun Temple was aligned with the Tropic of Cancer would be approximately 3959 years ago.
I saw this calculation from another comment, I thought I would share to compare: Earth's axial tilt varies over a 41,000-year period from 22.1 to 24.5 degrees back and forth. So for 2.4 change it should take 20,500 yrs. Current Tropic of cancer is 23.4394 Latitude of Temple is 23.5835 Difference is 0.1441 So how old is the temple? (0.1441*20500)/2.4 = 1231 yrs old. Archeological estimate: 997 yrs old Archeologists dated this temple 1026AD based on an inscription found in the temple in Devanagari script with Vikrama Samvat year written upside down. But they believe that this is the year of destruction of the temple by Mohammed Ghazni and not the date when the temple was constructed. So going by these facts the temple could have been constructed 234 years before their estimate.
I just watched this episode, and I was wondering just that . And, I agree that these temples are way older than a thousand, or a few thousand years. But, I must wonder if it was not when the tropic of cancer was above the temple the time before 3959, or the time before that, or there time before that, and so on. Just like they have found out that the water erosion on the Sphinx dates it back at least 10,000 years. And, according to Thoth in "The Emerald Tablets," The pyramids are at least 36,000 years old.

Ancient civilizations were very very sophisticated and highly precise. It was built by super intellegent beings who did their job with sheer dedication and took the significance of maths science physics and human nature/science very seriously. A thousand years ago the north pole was several hundred miles farther north meaning when they built it, it was off by at least 3 degrees. So not precise but pretty close with the tools of the time. Unless they were wanting it to line up a thousand years after they built it.

My own study using Google maps 1) If you travel from Hastinapur to dwarka in a straight line. Then distance between two cities is 1100kms. And at exactly 100kms on the same line we have Purana Qila,Delhi near Yamuna Bank (inderprastha, capital of Pandavas) , also khatu shyam ji falls on same line. 2) if you go from Hastinapur to Kabul (towards gandhar) , it's also 1100kms and at 100kms distance on same line we have kurukshetra..

Most of us visit and appreciate the carvings but unless someone like you explains the intricacies, we remain ignorant of our own heritage. No words to express the knowledge and expertise to build this masterpiece. Whatever we see around on this earth & whatever exits here is all because of THE SUN. We Indians, WORSHIP & RESPECT all these elements, as they are the source of life. Our heritage is much richer & older than what we were told. I have just made an incredible discovery about the age of the Sun Temple at Modhera in Gujarat, and I couldn't wait to share it with all of you! ☺ So as you told at 09:25 that how we can find the age of the temple, I used the incredible power of Chat GPT(a very powerful AI software), and I was able to calculate the probable age of the temple based on its current coordinates(23.5835° N, 72.1330° E) and the results are absolutely mind-blowing. Assuming that the Sun Temple was aligned with the Tropic of Cancer, it means the temple was located where the Tropic of Cancer was 9 years ago. Therefore, the time when the Sun Temple was aligned with the Tropic of Cancer would be approximately 3959 years ago.
I saw this calculation from another comment, I thought I would share to compare:
Earth's axial tilt varies over a 41,000-year period from 22.1 to 24.5 degrees back and forth.
So for 2.4 change it should take 20,500 yrs.
Current Tropic of cancer is 23.4394
Latitude of Temple is 23.5835
Difference is 0.1441
So how old is the temple?
(0.1441*20500)/2.4 = 1231 yrs old.
Archeological estimate: 997 yrs old
Archeologists dated this temple 1026AD based on an inscription found in the temple in Devanagari script with Vikrama Samvat year written upside down. But they believe that this is the year of destruction of the temple by Mohammed Ghazni and not the date when the temple was constructed.
So going by these facts the temple could have been constructed 234 years before their estimate.

And, I agree that these temples are way older than a thousand, or a few thousand years.
But, I must wonder if it was not when the tropic of cancer was above the temple the time before 3959, or the time before that, or there time before that, and so on.

Ancient civilizations were very very sophisticated and highly precise. It was built by super intellegent beings who did their job with sheer dedication and took the significance of maths science physics and human nature/science very seriously. From the Tropic of Cancer, gold idol, days of equinox and exact alignments…etc. There’s so many sites to explore in every terrain of the nation, some targeted and others abandoned. 1) If you travel from Hastinapur to dwarka in a straight line. Then distance between two cities is 1100kms. And at exactly 100kms on the same line we have Purana Qila,Delhi near Yamuna Bank (inderprastha, capital of Pandavas) , also khatu shyam ji falls on same line.
2) if you go from Hastinapur to Kabul (towards gandhar) , it's also 1100kms and at 100kms distance on same line we have kurukshetra..

So as you told at 09:25 that how we can find the age of the temple, I used the incredible power of Chat GPT(a very powerful AI software), and I was able to calculate the probable age of the temple based on its current coordinates(23.5835° N, 72.1330° E) and the results are absolutely mind-blowing.
According to my calculations, the Sun Temple at Modhera was likely built around 1972 BCE, which is much older than the commonly accepted estimate of the 11th century CE. This means that the temple may be over 3,900 years old, and could represent an incredible milestone in the ancient history of Hindu architecture and culture.
[NOTE - I have used an AI software for all the calculations, so this may be wrong but but there are more chances that the year may be correct because the software has used proper formulas]

I suspect that the fact that pretty much everything in India is only supposed to be about 1000 years old is based on our incomplete knowledge of history. about 1900 BC like you said seems much more likely to me. i think they say these temples HAD to have been built recently because history knows of no group before then who would be advanced enough to pull it off. the true history is probably much deeper
