    As far as the rod holder, put some sand in the bucket after you have all the pvc in it to prevent tipping from uneven weight distribution. It will keep the bottom down and make it harder to tip

    • @Mrshhh253
      @Mrshhh253 ปีที่แล้ว

      In stead of hard bolting the pvc to the bucket i did the pvc thread with a plastic nut. i use a foam washer on both sides of the bucket. i keep my fishing gear in the bucket for weight. when the poles are out and i get a hard bite the rod holder part pivets down and wont flip the bucket.

    Great ideas Kieth. I made a filter for my home bait tank out of a regular 5 gallon bucket and it cracked pretty easily where I plumbed into the side of it so I got one of those square ones and re did it. Those are thicker and more durable, it’s working out great now.

    Love your channel. I use my 1 bucket for holding bait for trotlines. Then wash it out and use it to wash down the front deck. We throw water on the deck to help keep the deck (metal boat) cooler. Fill your livewell faster and clean it out. Keep a small bottle of Dawn dish soap. It cuts the stink and slim out of the well. Plus it cut oil from your engine bay.

    I took your idea and went a different way. I needed to be able to carry some tackle and rods for shore fishing. First I replaced the metal handle on a 5-gallon bucket with a rope handle. I threaded the rope through the plastic handle. I cut some PVC pipes at a 45° then riveted them to the inside of the bucket to hold a knife, pliers, scissors, and a fish grip. I use Plano tackle trays to hold lures, weights, and hooks that slide into the bucket. Everything is right there to grab when you need it. Thanks for all the great ideas.

    #14 put the rod holder on a 22 1/2 degree angle, silicone the screw holes around the rod holder holes, let silicone dry over night. Then take a air bubblier to make your pier pail a portable minnow bucket with rod holder and lid for a seat. We use these in Canada pier fishing and ice fishing. Use the tackle box lid in the winter and you have the ultimate fishing pail ( bucket). Take two pails one empty and one with casting net , this would be great smelt fishing.👍 👍 🇨🇦 Great ideas sir!!!!

    I did your latrine hack but did one up on you. I added a small water bump the runs on a 12 volt battery. I added mounts to the side of my bucket for the pump and run the water pick-up line to the lake. I put a switch on the outside of my bucket so I can turn the pump on and off making an awesome bidet. I set my latrine near my fishing rods. I made a nice cut down the ass crack of my jeans and never have to leave the latrine. I also added a beer holder and a nice TV tray that swings out when not in use. I can put my favorite beverage and snacks in one end, let them out the other end, and catch fish all at the same time! Not to mention I have the cleanest crack of any fisherman around! You just can't beat Oky enginuity! Watching your channel is awesome. I really enjoy it and it has gotten my creative juices flowing!💩👍

      Found an "On-Sale" power source (20,100 mahour) at Wally World, for $12.88, and at the same time they had some of those TV "Surround Lites" that change colors (LED's on the "sticky-strip") for $5. Bought 2 of them, put the strips on 2 boards, plugged them in, and they last about 6 to 8 hours on "Green" color (the color I use for night fishing). Seemed to work better than no light at all, and I can use all that on my kayak or dock fishing. Kids at the pier liked to play with the controller, making the light automatically change colors (you KNOW how "Kids Are"!). Haha! They aren't water-proof, but I haven't had any trouble with them (one of the controllers went "Deep-Six", though!).
