Worked with Jon, Chris’ brother for a number of years. Also a great pilot! I remember back when he was hopping around in a 206. Great to see they are still doing well.
I have flown multiple Learjet models and the old Westwind jet. I used to (and sometimes still do) fly a king air 350 single pilot. It’s a lot more of a handful single pilot than any single pilot jet. I will tell you confidently that after 17 years and 3,000 hours in the aircraft I am competent single pilot. Even so, a properly trained co-Pilot is still best. When I was a kid my dad talked about what was good, what was better and what is best. When it comes to the responsibility of transporting human beings on aircraft, we should always do what is BEST. We have to remember that as humans we are not always 100%. Didn’t get enough sleep, have the crud, have a lot on our minds, etc. I would say that we are only 100% about 20% of the time. That’s why the second pilot (properly trained) is best.
What a beautiful paint job. Thanks for all of your videos and good luck on the sale. I've been looking at sport fishers but your videos are starting to change my mind. 😁
Always nice to see the Phenom 300 , it is a very safe single pilot airplane. If I look at the stats I see that since 2015 there where only 2 accidents with fatality , one with two pilots flying and one single operated. It’s good and greet to fly with two pilots. But it is definitely a safe single pilot plane to operate when you keep current in training emergencies in the sim.
Rich that camera mounted on the left wing made for the ultimate ride along experience. I think what you meant to say was the climb performance was Phenomenal ! 😂😂😂
Lots of parts and parts and pieces in airplanes he’ll on with screws so the camera was secured very well - no issues, and no need for speed on this flight!
That paintjob is outstanding! Rich, you should've just done the interview as a voiceover with the exterior camera on the plane. Hm, he's asking $8,495,000. I can get the $95,000. You think he'll agree to payments on the rest? 😄👍
Great video. Nice flight. Love the CEO perspective. I too own a company and I fly our HondaJet single pilot. How did you mount the camera on the wings? Thanks, Don
The paint job reminds me of a car I saw in a lot one day. I asked the salesman "Who would buy a purple car?" He put his hand on my shoulder and said "Dan, there's an ass for every seat!"
Just a thought from a pilot with 14,000 hours and 40 years experience, I just don’t think single pilot in these things is the way to go, from a safety standpoint-
Flying twin jets single pilot has been around a very long time. The SP Citations come to mind. These new jets have a lot more automation. A King Air is probably even more complex.
@@classicraceruk1337 What you say is true and I agree with you; but when things go to shit at FL 40 and 400 kts I want a second pilot up in the pointy end
And another thought from a pilot with 13,700 hours and 19 years experience who has actually flown SP Jet; it’s only as dangerous as the person flying it. The casual owner has no business flying these things SP. Leave it to the professionals
@@FlyingwithRich Thank you Rich. Great video. I have 2 TH-cam channels that show flying my HondaJet and I have to say, your video was well done. My channels are Jet Pilot Diaries and iOptimize Realty. Don
Never understood if u can afford one of these just like a single engine turboprop get two engines and two pilots if you have made that kind of money gamble your safety on one engine and one pilot
Such a beautiful aircraft. Super smooth landing 👌🏽

what a beauty ! thanks for the ride Rich!

Very well said. This should be posted some place.
@rclarkcarpenter Absolutely, especially carrying passengers. I would like to quote you for an upcoming video. Do I have your permission?

Beutiful Phenom...thx Rich.
Thank you!
Camera on wing at "rotate" and landing very impressive.👍
Great video Rich 😊

I've got to ask, what's he moving up to next?
Nice landing too.
They have another 300 so still contemplating what’s next.

Well said. Non-pilots can't understand.
“Phenom is the biggest baddest”
Isn’t the Pilatus PC24 longer, wider, taller with significant more cabin volume?
I don't even need to start watching this video to know it's top notch quality! Thank you so much for yet another one, Rich.

Still under consideration!
Nice wheels
I was super curious to see how this thing lands/takes off at KAVX.. Damn it.
No jets at AVX! Based on the landing we did at LGB, we could have made it on Catalina.
There’s an old episode of Columbo on YT where they land a Lear 23 at KAVX. Pretty crazy! I’ll bet Clay Lacy was in the left seat for that one.
@SkylaneGuy I bet you are right!

Especially if you’re not a full time pilot
You need a type rating. Single pilot is permitted, not optimal, however.
And another thought from a pilot with 13,700 hours and 19 years experience who has actually flown SP Jet; it’s only as dangerous as the person flying it.

@@TenantRepGuru nFlight camera mount screwed on - I have many mechanics look over the mounts before I trust them.

@TenantRepGuru Thank you for- I’ll check them out!
WOW!! Why is he selling? Is he going to purchase another jet? How could he top the Phenom 300?
Can’t really top the 300 on single pilot jet so would have to move to crew. They own another 300 so will still fly the other one!
What is the owner replacing it with? Just curious.
Not sure yet - they have another 300 so not in a hurry!
👍
