@@5s2z I completed all 152 shrines and the first four Temples before obtaining the paraglider. By that point, I had guessed where it was, but hadn't collected it yet on principle, and didn't use it for the rest of the game.
One thing I like about Colgera is that they're probably the only boss I've seen in a Zelda game where you don't need weapons to beat them, since you can damage them by diving through their segments during their ice spike attack.
what WHATT I didn't know this! I really liked the wind temple and colgera. I just used bullet time fire arrows as I assumed that was the play. This is insane!
I kept accidentally doing that quite a bit in the fight. And then there’s the water temple boss. I forgot about Sidon’s ability, and had no slash plants. I also forgot about opals. So I chased the boss down with a fire hydrant. It was very fun.
I have no idea how you managed to figure all of that out, and it sounds like this was your first time playing this game too which is really surprising and very impressive. This deserves way more views so keep it up!!!
One thing, you could use the paraglider to survive falls, as they only consume stamina while you're actually gliding, when you are falling and pull it up to stop your fall they don't consume stamina until you start moving, so you could just get real close to the ground and activate it at no cost.
if this were a series i would recommend getting the glide armor set as it doesnt use stamina and allows you to glide and if upgraded to teir 2 it grants fall dmageimmunity
Who would've known that Colgera was one of the most difficult (in terms of for the challenge) bosses to figure out for this playthrough. The boss where fighting is optional and belly flopping is encouraged.
after seeing this run after pointcrows stream doing this, I am crying at how easy it could have been instead of spending hours duping gliders and placing them... I watched thru HOURS of glider placement
17:38 I've played the game myself and watched like three playthroughs and never knew what the intended solution for this puzzle was, everyone just brute forced it. I never thought of using bullet time until you said it.
9:13 You don't get damaged when something forces you to get. For example: When fire hits you, you don't get fall damage, because the fire forced you to do. When a Bokoblin hits you and you fall from a hill because of the Bokoblin, you won't get fall damage. When you fall into the deep nothing in for example a shrine, because a construct did hit you, you won't loose that one heart from the nothing.
So fun fact: if you pull out your Paraglider _right_ as you would otherwise hit the ground, it cancels your fall damage but doesn't give the stamina wheel time to appear. That or just using shield-swapping exploits to cancel your fall damage would have made getting down to the Depths a lot easier lmao
7:59 get out 2 wings, hold one up, get on it and use rewind, quickly grab the other one with ultrahand and bring it up with you, repeat standing on the other wing and grabbing the first one, repeat alternating wings for (nearly) infinite height.
21:42 I cannot describe the pain that I went through thinking that you just had to deal with that storm cloud, thinking that I just had to deal with not being able to use any of my senses. I was using riju's ability as echolocation because I could not see and I somehow managed to complete this without clearing that storm cloud and I have lost all of my sanity over the course of I would say about 3 hours and you're telling me I could have just cleared out the storm cloud with a simple side quest... f*** my life
17:35 The funny part is that when I watched Pointcrow play this originally, this was the same solution he got. I couldn't find the real solution so I did the exact same thing in my run. I only now realize after you said "bullet time" that maybe I'm just dumb 😂
Wodnerfull vid! Also just wanted to point out that I loved the persona 5 music in there around 4 mintures 😂❤❤❤ but yeh super fast challenge after the game realise! Well done!!
You can use the paraglider! If you drop down and as soon as you almost touch the ground you pull out the paraglider then it cancels because you touched the ground you wont use any stamina! (correct me if im wrong because it worked in botw)
If you get a steering stick and two fans, it becomes pretty trivial to reach pretty much anything. (Unlike wings and balloons, the fans and the stick don't expire, and two fans take very little energy to run.)
it almost feels like the devs accomodated for people who might be doing this challenge, adding lilypads that you can land on, and making it so the dragons dont cause fall damage
There’s this set of armour that increases skydiving speed, and if you upgrade all pieces to level 2 at great fairies it ignores all fall damage if wearing the whole set
Yo I know it’s kinda hard to get because of the challenge but the glide set upgraded gives you resistance to all fall damage. The problem is its on sky islands and you dive into water though. Idk it just felt like it would help a bit
This challenge would be agony for me. I can't sit still for long, I can't move slowly for long, I NEED my go fast. So to never be allowed to run would probably have me drop this challenge pretty quickly.
I think you probably could have gone down the death mountain chasm normally, because if you pull out the glider right before you hit the ground it wouldn’t use any stamina
17:37 I was really bad at the Water Temple puzzles and using bullet time here never even occurred to me. I just tried to shove the floating water into the dome for twelve minutes and then sunk an arrow into it by timing when the open face would be towards Link.
on death mountain you can just take your paraglider out at the last second and skydive to move around, taking it out fast enough wont make the stamina bar appear.
I have a question about the end fight. so you mentioned quickly that for the dragon fight "link draws the master sword..." which is impossible because you need to use stamina for that, how does this work? because you show a clip of link getting the master sword the intended way, or does it just give you the master sword at the end. you didnt really explain it much also but I saw that you defeated a gleeok by one fast clip of your weapon, and if I recall the last phase you need to use bullet time to defeat them when they are in the air. so is this like a almost no stamina run or is there an explanation for this.
when i was getting mineru aka the mech factorys, i did like 3/4 or even 4/4 of them not the intended way, idk how they expect u to do hem but u used floating platforms from the machines that eat zonai spheres to get the parts
It's amazing how the game is built in the way that even if you don't understand the solution for the puzzle somehow, you still can just fly over it on your stupid little dirigible
I can't think of a reason to use bullet time if you're not going to shoot or use the paraglider. You can do a quick turn with bullet time when you're paragliding, otherwise why enter it?
cool vid! one note though, pulling the master sword does NOT take stamina! just like in botw, stamina and hearts in cutscenes has nothing to do with you current hearts/stamina, just your max
Idk if it would save time anywhere for sure but the set bonus for the glide suit is neglecting fall damage. Would be v helpful for getting down if it’s awkward to use wings
