    for those wondering abt the % of retinol: on YS they say it's 500IU wich is 150mcg of retinol (0.15ml), as the bottle contains 30ml the % would be 0.5% of retinol

    • @karinenailderella
      @karinenailderella 2 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      mmm..I think it's 500IU per gram and not only IU per container (besides it's available in 30 and 50mL). In that case, 10 000 IU/g = 1%, which would make 0.05% and not 0.5%. 0.05% is still considered a moderate strength so rather good for beginners or if you cannot tolerate higher concentration.

    Thank you for reviewing this ampoule.🙂 I’ve been thinking about buying it, but wasn’t sure. I’ve used retinol products before and had irritation. So I may purchase it, due to the soothing ingredients in it.

    i tried The Ordinary's range and got such a bad reaction that it made me scared of retinol/retinoids. I did pluck up the courage to try this in May 2022, and it was so gentle it gave me no reaction, but actual hydration. a lot of people scoff at the low retinol percentage but for people who react, this is a godsend. i have been using it nightly for about 4 mths, and it really improved the clarity and smoothness. i only wish it wasn't so expensive at 30ml...!

    Can I use this in the night (like 1-3 times a week) and the Skin & Lab vitamin c serum (daily) before I’d put on my makeup? Usually I put on makeup in the morning or noon. Other options for the daily serum would be: Innisfree green tea serum. What would you recommend?:)

      I've yet to try the products from Ordinary, so I can't say for sure how they'll work together or if they can work together.

    Please reply😭🙏

    • @JOOHKY
      @JOOHKY  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not very familiar with Dear Klair's Supplse Preparation All over Lotion, but the Cosrx toner and Isntree gun gel looks good. While I do believe that the Retinol Cica Repair Ampoule will work well on dry-combo acne prone/sensitive skin, I do not recommend using it together with 2% salicylic acid being that it is a bha.
      I also don't recommend using the retinol or the salicylic acid every night. I would only recommend using it only 2 times a week as your skin is sensitive, and both ingredients can be irritating.

    Hi my step for day time is cleanser,innisfree green tea serum,toner,retinol,moisturiser and sunscreen
    And for night cleanser,toner and moisturiser
    I heard that we should wear retinol at night but I don’t know how and which step to do first and should I wear serum at night too??can you tell me the step?🤍

    • @JOOHKY
      @JOOHKY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, you can wear retinol during the day providing that you make sure you use sunscreen on top.
      As for when to use retinol at night, it's normally to be used after toner. You don't have to use a serum if you don't want to at night.
      As for your night routine, if you want to use retinol, then you would go cleanser, toner, retinol, serum (if you want) and than moisturizer.

      You can use apply this directly after cleansing.
      I don't recommend using this with a aha bha toner because aha bha and retinol is not really recommended to be used together. It can be irritative when used together.

    Hi, i have used adapelne 0.1% gel earlier and it suited me well. Can i use this retinol serum as well instead of adapelene! What can i expect from thisserum as I have PIE

    • @JOOHKY
      @JOOHKY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I've never used adapelne, and it's the first time I've heard of PIE, but from my short research,
      "One of the main differences between adapalene and retinol is that adapalene has an indication for acne in addition to anti-aging benefits whereas retinol is mainly only used for anti-aging. Another difference between retinol and adapalene is that you may often find serums or creams that combine retinol with another ingredient, such as vitamin C to protect against free radicals or niacinamide (also known as vitamin B3) for brightening effects. In contrast, a majority of the time adapalene gels only contain adapalene and no additional skincare ingredient. Furthermore, adapalene is more chemically stable than retinol. This means that extra care must be taken to ensure that retinol products do not oxidize - opaque bottles and tight seals will help with that."
      As I'm not familiar with your condition, nor with the ingredient you have been using, it's hard for me tell you what kind of effects it may have on your skin apart from what I covered on my video.

      First, remember to use sunscreen when using vitamin C green tea enzyme brightening serum in the morning (this is a must)
      The others may be fine, but the retinol cica repair ampoule can still be slightly irritating on the skin, so I don't recommend using it every day.

    • @JOOHKY

      Personally, I think it's best to just use one, as using both of them feels to be a bit too much. Though I personally don't really recommend it, you can start off by introducing the Retinol Cica Repair Ampoule to your skin first. After a while, you may try to slowly try to add in the treatment ointment and see how it works on your skin.
      As everyone's skin is different it's hard for me to say what is right for you or not, but personally, I'd pick and use only 1.

      Hi, you can definitely use it in this order, but this looks a bit excessive.

Is it still ok to use this product or should I wait until my skin is 100% recovered. Also would this product be ok to use alongside the Numbuzin ‘bye bye blemish’ serum? Please help, THANKYOU 🫶🏼🫶🏼🙏

      I would personally recommend using it after your skin is perfectly recovered as retinol can be irritating on the skin. As for numbuzin's bye bye blemish serum contains vitamin C, I would not recommend using the two side by side, as the two could have detrimental effects on the skin.
