- Little Nightmares is a platform / puzzle horror game in which we play the role of a knome like girl called Six as we attempt to escape a creepy island known as the Maw. In this video we take a look at the top scariest and creepiest moments to be found in Little Nightmares, from enemies such as The Janitor, the granny and the lady to the many creepy environments we explore in both the base game and it's DLC - Secrets of the Maw. You missed one of the creepy things about Six's hunger. As she's eating, there is a shadow-like version of her, watching her. Also, she doesn't always eat meat. The thing the child throws to her is bread. I don't think they would give the children the precious meat.
I never noticed that... great... more things to freak me out.

It can be hard to spot her, but when Six eats the kid just look up at the counter where there’s bottles and stuff. You can see her as well when a kid gives Six its food at the beginning, dark Six is on the top of the boxes that you later have to climb.

Vanessa Pang yes he was... that’s how six knew how to take out the lady with the mirror...whenever six consumes something she gains the knowledge from them...that’s why when she ate the rat she knew to navigate through the vents..

its sad esy, but its actually the hunger before the final hunger, as six's final hunger is when she eats the geisha's neck.
Hey Super horror bro what you didn’t mention is that the shoes on the maw are Too big for children. And the slabs of meat we see the guests eating are too big to be the children on the maw. One last thing in one of the last scenes of the game we see the chef citing up a sleeping guest.
This is true. The Lady has been taking the youth of children and stuffing their conscious into the gnomes. Gaming Beaver goes over this and it’s confirmed by the DLC.

@@yannabaptiste3700 But not all nomes were children. Yes, in one scene we can see nomes with shadows of children, but in the other (where nomes throw coal into the furnace) nomes have normal shadows.

A sad thing on Six's side of the Nome thing, she knows the sausages are made of children, and didn't want to be a cannibal, but failed to realise the Nomes were ALSO children, just alive.

The creepiest moment for me was definitely the escape from the Guest area when they're all crawling after you and you barely escape.
The Janitor was the only creature in the game that truly scared me. That guy’s CREEPY
3 Reasons why the Janitor is a monstrosity of perfect horror.
1. He's blind, and only detects by sound and smell, which can get very alarming when your close to him with wooden planks.
2. LONG ARMS.
3. The teeth cracking and neck cracking sounds just sound... disturbing and makes you feel done for because he makes that sound when he's detected you.

@Benin Favoriten oh! I only found out about this a while ago. Shadow six appears when you eat the nome (runaway boy) while you are playing as six (shadow six could appear other places, but i haven't heard of any other locations.) . In the background, you can see a shadowy figure if you look up at the top of the scree. It's really hard to see, but upon closer inspection, you can see it's a shadow version of six, possibly a symbol of the darkness growing inside her and her innocence being lost.

Holly Seibel Shadow six appears every time six Eats except when she eats the lady because she basically became shadow six, I’m pretty sure there’s a video on TH-cam that points it out but I forgot the name ☹️

I just realized... Seven never picked up the sausage. When six appears, the gnome already has it in his hands. Then again we don't know when exactly six was going to appear at that time. But you can only guess she was seconds away. Even if he heard six coming, he couldn't have had any idea it was her. So there's a chance he was one of the other nomes who ran away and another one who saw she was just a child and saw her suffering starvation, and thought he would be alright... Except he got gobbled up like a Snickers bar

Well if you look back at the scene, RK picks up the sausage after Six entered the room
The Nome picks up the sausage right after Six enters the room
The scariest parts are the ones where you're being chased and can't quite tell where to go. Like the crawling hands or the Janitor in a few places really scare me badly
if you notice, everytime six eats a shadow version of her appears
The bread she appears for very short time and cant see clearly
Meat she is watching from the pipes and stays longer and you can see her better
Mouse/Rat she is sitting on the boxes and she stays longer than the last and you see her better once again
Nome she is on the desk watching down on you and she stays the longest and you see her very clearly

@Vanessa Pang the kid got turned into the gnome and the game ends when you go into the same room as the one six ate a gnome and all the other ones left and the sausage was in the middle of the room just like the how it was when six went in there

The only two giant characters who are thin is the hanging man, the lady and the blind guy. So, I’m guessing none of them actually eat the children. Maybe they (the two men) were both misguided to collect children for the lady to feed to the others and the hanging man finally realised what was going on??? Maybe?

The dump scene made me think of the level in Jedi knights in training when a sand worm chases you as you try to fix your ship. After watching a guy get eaten by this it freaked me out. Almost quit.

I just realized something. Every main enemy in the game is introduced by looking up at a platform above. The janitor dragging the cage, the chefs grabbing something, the guests boarding the ship, and the lady watching the guests get on.
For anyone who didn't know, the Geisha is Six's mom. Because she thinks she is ugly and her kid (Six) was beautiful she was very jealous that she broke all the mirrors and threw Six down where we first started the game. That's why when you go to the last chapter the photos that look like Six are hidden with cloths. I also read a theory that the hanged guy is Six's father and he couldn't believe what her mother (Geisha) did and that he couldn't protect his own child so he killed himself. :D

I’d like to believe he didn’t die since it’s so gloomy to think he survived everything, only to die by our protagonist. Sadly, based on game cues, the runaway kid died. :(
When we last control him as a gnome he’s at ground level. Gnomes can’t climb high, not without assistance (the runaway kid literally had to fling a gnome up to get them to reach higher levels), so it’s highly doubtful the runaway kid (as a gnome) managed to reach the bar from his position, especially in record speed.
Finally, from a visual storytelling standpoint, it makes no sense for the final scenes of the runaway kid to abruptly shift focus to another random gnome. The game goes out of its way to visually indicate the kid is the sausage gnome BY focusing on this gnome. It keeps the camera on this gnome. If we consider the tragic themes and beats of Little Nighmare lore, him dying as the sausage nome would be more consistent to this universe than him simply becoming a background gnome on the bar.

The food is also the murdured guests. The chefs sneak into their quarters when they are sleeping and the kill them to feed more of them. It is a disgusting cycle, but actually quite ingenious. This is why I love this game so much.

Tbh I kinda feel bad about killing the granny(even though I haven't actually played this game yet)
If you're able to get the granny in a good position, it almost looks like she hugs you whenever she catches you and drags you underwater. Also I think there's a way to beat her without killing her? It's not the intentional way of doing it, but you can still escape her without needing to knock the TV down

I just came up with this theory that, since with the hanging man, you can’t see his arms, maybe he has short arms and long legs (which we see). The janitor has short, stubby legs and annoyingly long arms, so maybe they’re brothers? I doubt that this is true but...
