I don't have a carpeted living room either. Which leads into other rooms noncarpeted. But I'd prefer him to stay in the living room w/ me, so I can always see what he's up to. I haven't put up any barriers. But the curious fuzz face tests his boundaries sometimes, thinking I'm not paying attention. And so when I call for him, he reminds me of a little kid. Like he comes running back, trying to play it off like he really didn't just go exploring elsewhere. But bc it's not carpeted, poor thing slides sometimes, bc 🤷 hes too busy wanting to be speedy Gonzales or something, ha. I guess its more funny in person.

@@mindblown5 Idk how it's been 3 years and I just now got this comment, I was already in high-school when I wrote that, I got my first piggy when I was 9 and had 6 total in my life, they can be a lot of work, but I tend to find it easy, unfortunately half passed away from nautical causes but the remaining three are happy and healthy

My one guinea pig lived to be 9. It’s very possible that the babies are alive. The mother however is most likely dead or about to die.
It all depends on their care and health. Our Guinea pig lived to be 6 1/2 and we took REALLY good care of him
