You should do a video on just your neighbors’ cats exploring your shop. I could imagine that their favorite spot on a cold day to relax would be in the room with your kiln is at.

You provide so many little tips along the way that other teachers take for granted, assume we know, and don’t explain. Thank you so much

The final glazed/fired Grogged Pink reminds me strongly of polished granite like you'd see in a fancy countertop. That darker green tone is absolutely gorgeous, too!

I wonder if it would be interesting to expose more of the unglazed clay. I feel like your work has lots of nice angular edges and ridges that you could play with leaving a strip of unglazed clay to experiment with detailing a bit.

You should def make a video with that technique. All I know about Pottery comes from watching your videos and it is a trill to see your craftmanship.

20:35 OK, now your work is always impressive, but firing a pair of pots that ring a perfect fifth apart is incredible! 😂

I absolutely LOVE that you cover all of the details of wedging and throwing in every video you make - in case this is the only video someone sees of yours, it's pretty comprehensive. But - do you ever get tired of repeating yourself on the basics?

Florian, your back catalogue has been my go to for planning between classes on my beginner course. I, and I assume others like me, would greatly appreciate a video on how to correct the unevenness when pulling.

I adore how the white glaze goes that sort of dove grey with the iron flecks on the more textured body. its got a sort of granite-ish feel to it that really looks nice

I found the results interesting. I’ve didn’t know about added extra metal to the clay or that there was course clay. I have so much to learn. They are both very beautiful.

Have you ever experimented with putting your pieces in a bisque-ware ceramic container with sugar packed around and inside them to achieve your desired reduction reactions? I’m just speculating to be honest but I believe the pyrolysis of the sugar would create a very potent reaction atmosphere much more concentrated around the piece itself and displace all oxygen.

I love your work, it’s always just so satisfying and the colours in the final result are just so calming. I am curious though, how would a clear glaze interact with the iron content in the clay? Or does it not have any effect

THANK YOU. You answered my question about why you're glazing the exterior first. makes total sense. Wonderful video, as always. Have you found any faulting in the clay body with the additions of iron, bronze, etc? Very curious about it.

Have you ever airbrushed your pieces? Given the uniform coverage of your pieces, would that extra work perhaps compensate for the clean-up time? If you've tried and rejected, or have elected not to try, would be curious as to why. I don't currently have the equipment, but have liked what I could do with it in past work - but interested in your thoughts before I purchase the expensive equipment.

Did those clays distort a bit more while drying than your usual clay? Seemed like they had a bit more wobble when trimming. Was wondering if the clay body characteristics resulted in slightly different movement/memory post pulling? (probably overthinking things :D)
