- Join Dr. Blues as he takes his 2006 Honda S2000 (AP2) out for a spin that's anything but ordinary. Starting with a warm engine in his garage, he eases the car onto the streets, showcasing the Tanabe Medalion Touring exhaust's unique ability to keep things quiet at low RPMs - earning it the nickname "The Gentleman's Exhaust." But don't be fooled by its polite demeanor in the city. As soon as we hit the open road, the S2000 transforms. With a deep voice and a hint of vengeance, it screams to an adrenaline-pumping tone that's sure to send shivers down your spine. This video is a must-watch for any car enthusiast or anyone dreaming of the perfect blend of sophistication and power. Experience the thrill of the S2000 with the Tanabe exhaust and find out why it might just be the ride you've been dreaming of.

I have had this exhaust on my car for 7 years now. My absolute favorite! Looks mature and at home as well on the back of the s2000. Best part is I can show up to any track here in America and not have any issue with breaking noise violations
YESS!!!
Absolutely agree on it!!! Analog drive is way more fun!!!
Hell yeah Richie! Revv up!
@5:00 I've been always saying this to car guys, and you explained it perfectly. It's NOT about the HP is about the raw driving experience. smh Ill never understand why soo many new gear heads of this era don't understand that.
That's why I got into the 2UR-GSE. Not raw like the S2000, but special in it's own right.
100% Thank you for watching and please share the video with your car friends!
By far, this is the best unit I've owned for street combined with a bit a track use. After going through all the other competing brands, this is the best sounding exhaust without the obnoxious droning. There's a subtle deep purr from low to mid rpms, but she really opens up when that vtec kicks in, y0!
Yeah man you sold me on the Tanabe. I almost got a tomei but am happy that i reconsidered
It is a Real Visceral Driving Machine, this is why you got this pleasure and this thrill .
I have an AP1 Phase 2 in Europe, a 2005 still with the F20C, still the throttle cable and only ABS with/under a AP2 design.
Congratulation for the video, who explicitly emphase the weak up when you go on the VTEC range (acceleration, down shift..)
Glad you enjoyed the video. And thank you for the comments. Yeah both AP1 and AP2 are amazing cars. I feel goose bumps every time I drive it.
When I get my S2000, this is definitely the exhaust system I will go for. I love that it is loud at the higher RPMs
Good choice! You will not regret it!
Great driving!!!!
Thanks for the visit
Sounds great! Good video! Just put Tanabe Revel Medallion Touring catback on my 2023 WRX and love it.
Thanks! Will do!
great video. you deserve more subscribers
I appreciate that!
Feel free to share and promote. It will entice us to do more videos. Just got a 1991 NSX and a Dodge Viper in the mix. Greetings
The freeway that goes through my state has a speed limit of 80 mph or around 130 kph (although a lot of people seem to drive a bit faster) which is good for a spirited drive. It's no autobahn but it can still be fun!
Not to mention the best gearbox out of any production care we made.
100% true. That S2K gear box is just a piurie joy to shift! Thanks for watching!
If the Tanabe is too expensive the UK S2000 exhaust mod achieves the same result more or less. No change at idle, small difference below VTEC engagement but a noticeable one after...
Can you do a video on your rev matching technique - you seem very confident in your down shifts
For me its stock exhaust and KN filter. Silent on low rpm, loud on high rpm. I dont like sound coming from beind, perfer from engine.
Totally agree
I thought the AP2 redlined at 8,000 rpm? 🤔. This sounds really great👌🏻
Neah. Redline is 9,000! I know as I drive to the RED very often! ;) Thank you for watching
@@DRBLUESNYC no problem. Does it require a custom tune and support mods?
Driven proper
Lol! THANK YOU! Thank you for watching and please share the video with your car friends!
Ah man. So good. The new cars are so numbing to drive. I love my mania Honda. Meat and potatoes.
Same here!
you talk too much
Thanks for watching!
