At Daytona, .1 of a second is the difference between 1st and 20th in qualifying. You've got a 4 star ride, so you're never gonna be near the top in qualifying. Stay in the draft as much as you can and pass on the inside on the straights. Don't be afraid to giver other drivers a nudge. Try to not bump the back of other cars cause that gives them a big push and you lose momentum. It's easy to go from 40th to first at Daytona in just a couple laps once you're used to it. And if you're running longer races, you have to let off the gas and let the draft drag you so you can conserve fuel. Don't do that till your in the lead pack. Just ride right behind another car that's running the inside lane and use 1/2 to 3/4 throttle
Tips for superspeedways dega and Daytona stay on the bottom and use your mirror and turn you driving aids to expert and will take a while to get but that's why test session is in the game and find custom setups and make the race longer

Except it's fast cars, that used to be based on real production vehicles way back when. And it's a lot of laps. I'm thinking a game and a let's play like this will be a good way to dip my toes into this culture. Your commentary was great!

the part where he says "Imagine only being able to see straight in front" makes me really want to ride in a NASCAR, once when I was 8 I had the chance, but I was too light so I could only ride through the track in a pace car. Still pretty cool.
Amazing vid trev None of the time marks do anything for the vid FYI Tip* when racing a tri oval race at 10:30 and 4:30 so when you go into a turn, your hands go to 3-9,
tip for ya from an actual driver... the lowest point on the apex above the apron isn't always the fastest... watch for those tight jerks in steering too, also makes the car slower.
Just a tip I have all the heat games and what I find best on the Super speedways like Daytona I recommend staying on the inside lane all the way through the track on qualifying and you’ll have much better results
Your qualifying time is normal for a restrictor plate in the Heat games. In Heat 4 I got to the point where I would just skip qualifying at restrictor plate races.
@TmarTn2 the fastest way to qualify at daytona and talladega is to run the top next to the wall on your warm up lap and then as soon as you go for your timed lap, hug that yellow line all the way around the track even on the straights

The Daytona qualifying is broken. The cpu qualify times are factoring drafting so like all the cars are gonna be like 2 seconds faster in qualifying.

I’d recommend racing in stages. It really helps balance you out a little bit.
Change the qualifying settings to session qualifying so you will be able to qualify with other people instead of by yourself

Only way to qualify better/ have a faster car is to put in a custom set-up. Having a 4-star ride will slow you down a bit as well
Please make this a full series that would be great and I hope you get better with the handling
