    Let’s say I have this DMH, no external amp, and a powered sub, like the TS-WX130DA or similar..
    I adapt the RCAs from sub to the single sub connector as stated here in the video..
    Now, will this DMH power 4 speakers still? Typically Pioneers are marketed to only do 2 fronts + whatever you chose rears (rear speakers, or sub)
    This unit has the mono sub connector. Is this signal only, or does this also “power” the sub?

    • @pioneerelectronics
      @pioneerelectronics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The Pioneer DMH-241EX has a built-in amplifier designed to operate up to 4 speakers in your vehicle. Typically this is 2 front speakers and 2 rear speakers. The DMH-241EX can be used to operate 4 speakers and use the RCA outputs to operate external amplifiers at the same time. No worries.
      The connection used for the speakers is the bare wire pairs on the receiver wire harness, white, gray, purple, and green.
      You can learn more about wiring your Pioneer receiver in this How To video from Pioneer: th-cam.com/video/-bF3uzzaT30/w-d-xo.html
      The DMH-241EX also has RCA outputs. These are typically pairs of red and white jacks on the back of the receiver. You can see them here: th-cam.com/video/wNY7ydo1shs/w-d-xo.html RCA outputs are used to send an audio signal to an external amplifier like the one in the TS-WX130DA or another external amplifier with RCA inputs.
      In a typical installation, an RCA cable of 10 to 15 feet length is used to connect the in-dash receiver RCA output to the external amplifier RCA input. This cable is typically a male to male RCA cable. The length of the cable may very depending upon your installation.
      On the DMH-241EX, the subwoofer RCA output is a mono cable. And the TS-WX130DA has both Red and White RCA input connections. I recommend to use an RCA splitter or "Y" cable to make the audio connection to the TS-WX130DA simple.
      Keep in mind you'll need a cable with a male connection at the in-dash receiver, and a male connection at the external amplifier.
      The TS-WX130DA will require power and ground to operate. The TS-WX130DA is fused at only 10 Amps at the amplifier. Depending upon your installation, you may be able to directly connect the amplifier's power wire to your vehicle's fuse box for enough power to operate this amplifier.
      If you can't connect the power wire to an open 10 amp circuit in the vehicle, you'll need to connect the amplifier power wire directly to the vehicle's battery.
      You may have a long run from the battery to the amplifier.
      A 12 gauge amplifier wire kit will work fine.
      Be sure to properly fuse the amplifier power wire within 12 inches of the battery.
      Be sure to make a proper solder and insulation or, other joining and insulation method with a clean connection between the amp kit wires and the Power and Ground wires at the amplifier. The system uses a Class D amplifier. This is a very power efficient design and is fused at only 10 amps at the amplifier. Is there a subwoofer output level adjustment in the settings? I can’t seem to find it :(

    • @pioneerelectronics
      @pioneerelectronics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The Pioneer DMH-241EX does not have a subwoofer output level adjustment. There is a Bass Boost output control. If you set the subwoofer crossover LPF control to 80HZ only frequencies below 80 HZ will be played back by the subwoofer. The bass boost control frequencies below 80HZ.

    Can I use my existing backup camera with a RCA plug that is already ran to the front including a reverse gear trigger wire?

    • @pioneerelectronics

      In most cases, a backup camera with a male RCA connection will work plugged into the Brown RCA Backup camera input on the in-dash receiver. You can see it here: th-cam.com/video/IQSjZcPDU6A/w-d-xo.html It's possible an adapter may be required.
      The Violet/White wire on the Pioneer wire harness is the reverse gear trigger. You can learn more about wiring your Pioneer receiver in this How To video from Pioneer: th-cam.com/video/-bF3uzzaT30/w-d-xo.html

    • @pioneerelectronics
      @pioneerelectronics  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Pioneer DMH-241EX has 3 RCA outputs for operating external amplifiers. Red and White for the Front. Red and White for the Rear. And a single black Subwoofer output. Please note: The Subwoofer output is a mono output. You can see it here: th-cam.com/video/wNY7ydo1shs/w-d-xo.html
      I recommend getting a Y splitter for the Black subwoofer mono output. Many are available. Here is one possibility: www.crutchfield.com/p_703M22F/AudioQuest-FLX-X-RCA-Y-Adapter.html
      The backup camera input is separate from the RCA outputs for the amplifiers. It's a brown RCA output. I recommend using the Pioneer ND-BC8 backup camera. • @pioneerelectronics
      @pioneerelectronics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This isn't a simple yes, or no answer to your question. Please keep reading for the complete answer. The Pioneer DMH-241EX works with Weblink. And, when using Weblink, there are a few different navigation apps that are available for your phone that will show up on the in-dash receiver's display. You can get full turn by turn instruction from your phone through the in-dash receiver.
      If you are referring to navigation with Apple CarPlay, or navigation with Android Auto, the answer is no, the DMH-241EX does not work with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
      If you are looing to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto navigation functions, please consider the Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX seen here: th-cam.com/video/B2TTfJUD-es/w-d-xo.html or the Pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX seen here: th-cam.com/video/QrvNkGgRo7E/w-d-xo.html

      From the home screen touch the gears for settings > and then the speaker for the audio settings. In the Audio Settings scroll down to "Cutoff" In the Cutoff Settings choose "Subwoofer LPF" Under Subwoofer LPF I recommend the 80 setting as a good starting point.

      Is your amplifier switching on with the receiver? How do you know? Is there a power LED?
      Are your RCA cables good? I recommend to try new cables just to be sure. Cables sometimes fail.
      Are you using one or two subwoofer RCA cables from the receiver to the amplifier?
      Do you have the Blue/white wire from the receiver connected to the amplifier?
