How is the Thule Yepp seat working for you on this bike? I just go the Homage and considering it for my 4 yr old. Any special adapter needed to make it work or does it work with the MIK system? Thanks for the great content.
A dream bike for traveling, specially with the 2 batteries version. You can ride 50 km on hilly roads, and see that there are still more than 100km of available range ! But there are some manufacturing flaws: on mine, wiring was too tighten within the frame, so the stem cannot be set all the way down (detected and corrected by the shop staff before delivery), and there is a problem with one of the bottle cage screws, that forces to send back the bike to Germany for correction (grrrr...). That does not prevent to use the bike, before its little trip to Germany (I live in France); it's a wonder on road (new generation CX Bosch motor is very, very, very impressive, easily tackling steep climb on Tour mode) and on (easy) trail (I have regular tyres). Bike feels heavy when you have to push it, but remains nimble when riding it. Width of diagonal tube is never a problem. Only real drawback I can see (and I knew it reading the bike's characteristics, before buying it): ring is too big and gives gear ranges more adapted to an HS bike; they should have used a 50 teeth ring (the ring used on the "montain" Delight and SuperDelight) instead of the actual 60 teeth, for the Rohloff version. And they should have created some kind of handle where Bordo lock is stored, in order to facilitate bike handling when pushing or pulling the bike (specially in tight place).
I am 5 feet tall. I would say she will have no problem as the seat tube height and stand over is great for us shorter riders. That being said, shorter riders will need to be relatively comfortable cyclists and not intimidated by a big bike. The Homage rides beautifully but with full suspension it is a big bike and is not lightweight.
@@thenewwheel yesterday i test drove Riese & Meuller but it wasn't the Homage.. i also test drove a Gazelle and i test drove a Vast.. They all had carbon gates belt drives with the nvideo (however you say it) hub.. i thought the Riese & Mueller was the smoothest riding and the smoothest power assist.. that was my first day ever driving an ebike..
@@thenewwheel There was a subdivision by the bike shop.. There was some good hills there.. I was able to drive them without the pedal assist and I only used pedal assist 1.. It was also 97 degrees and I was wiped out after..
I am sure I’ll Lionel the bike. I’d love to test ride it. However, My interests in using a bike to commute is to downsize and simplify. $10,000+ bike is not downsizing.
I ordered one and get it delivered in a couple of weeks. Can't wait.
It's been a couple years, how do you like the bike?

It works for sure but watch the total weight limit on the rack. Once they outgrow it you can always add a trailer.
Best ebike reviews on the web! Love you guys and appreciate your insight and perspective on all your videos
Magnifique vélo vraiment une machine mérite son prix merci infiniment pour ce Excellent vidéo

There is a wide range based on how you configure your bike. Check out R&M's website at r-m.de!
Any place in the South East US to try these out?
Have a look at R&M's dealer search here: www.r-m.de/en-us/dealer-search/

How far do the 2 batteries get you in eco mode? I'm interested from a travelling perpective so turbo will use too much fot my use case.
We would estimate up to 120 miles with minimal hill climbing. 90 miles if you are being conservative.

Great and thorough review of the new Homage! Thank you!
Hi Karen, how tall are you? I'm considering the Homage for my wife who's 5' and wondering if she's too short to ride the smallest Homage frame size.

@@thenewwheel thanks for the response!
Price and weight please
look it up ... really not very hard
Bit expensive, but you won't regret you purchased it. I own an RM Delite GT Vario HS.
I love this couple. They could sell me anything !
The bikes are great too.
Weight limit ? In LBS
242 lbs is max rider weight limit.
@@thenewwheel Thank you. Do any of the bikes have a 400lb capacity ?
@@hurcell1yes the Nevo would be a great choice.
@@thenewwheel Thank you, I'll check it out.

Beautiful bike. Great review
Great video but why you talk to each other and not to us the viewers?
Those are really cool bikes..
Totally agree

I guess its a a bit like buying a Rolls Royce. 'if you need to ask the price sir you probably can't afford it'.
Awesome bike, but too expensive. I can't justify spending that kind of money on a transportation bike.
Fair enough. Just be careful not to test ride one or your mind might change 😉
