People needs to see that Rudy is a pervert but he also has many good qualities. What the author is showing here is that if Rudy had no good qualities he would be the same as Pax.
Also, one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, points of the whole series is redemption. Rudy has been learning how dysfunctional and shitty a person he used to be because of his trauma so his in his second life he is working on overcoming it and being a better person. I love that it doesn't happen in a moment like so many other shows but takes time as it would be irl. Many people overlook such an important element I think.
A little extra from the source material (novels): Aisha realizes almost in the beggining that Rudeus was her brother. The final request she made was a test to him, to see if she was right in her assumption that Rudeus was a bad person overall or wrong. Since he refused to take her, with the pretext that she should spend more of her childhood with her mother, she realized his brother was better than she expected. That was also a teaser for her mother, since she was never trully in full agreement with serving someone she didn't even remembered. And as a heads up, the current and next episodes will be extremely important for the future events (even future seasons). Also, season 2 was officially confirmed, hope you watch it as well.
One of the big points that is repeated over and over is that Rudeus at his absolute worst is actually still a better person than most nobles in this world. Even the "good" nobles fall into this category (Sauros and Philip and their connection to the best people slave trade, for instance). Not only is he trying to better himself, but he's doing it in a world where he could get away with being as awful as he could want, and has even been offered multiple opportunities to do just that.
Pax and zanoba are both liabilities for different reasons. Zanoba regularly threatens the life of other princes and pax already harassed away a high estemeed mage. Sending them away is probably for the best.
Eris' growth is phenomenal. Part 1 Eris would have complained about not being able to fight, but this Eris just gladly accepted the responsibility of protecting Aisha. Also, her outfit is so fitting for a swordswoman. It kinda reminds me of Jamie Lannister's outfit in season 1. Btw there's an official Roxy figure that they came right after this episode, with all the features that was mentioned. Just in case you're interested in getting it lol
Fun Fact: The last servant Zanoba traded for the Roxy figurine was in fact Ginger. The reason of offering a servant as the price it's because how the kingdom decides its next regent. The prince with more servants following him becomes the next king, so exchanging a random figurine to steal a servant from his brother was a heck of a trade for Pax.
If Rudy hadn't lied about Paul initiating the cheating, then Lilia and her newborn would have had to make a dangerous winter journey. That's why she says that Aisha doesn't appreciate Rudy's virtues. Aisha spoke of growing up voluptuous to test Rudy to see if he was really as big a pervert as she imagined. A test that he might not have passed in the first half of this series.
I mean rudeus isn't attracted to close relatives it seems to be so i don't think it would have mattered much even in the first half. Considering how he isn't attracted to zenith even as a baby i mean sure he makes a pervy comment because he is pervy but he does acknowledge that he is not turned on for some reason.
It's good to show that the world really isn't all just main characters, the side characters like Ginger really do be doing things off-screen, but they still impact the story. We love Ginger...

Initially, he may have kept Roxy’s panties out of his own perversion, but it wasn’t long until he kept them to remember Roxy, his master who he respects more than anyone. He even began doing a morning prayer to them and Roxy as we saw in one of the early episodes. So he kept them as a memento to remember her by.
I think that's a nice thought, but he didn't have them that whole time. Who's to say he wouldn't treat those panties the same way if he had kept them the whole time. I'm leaning more towards him being perverted

Kaguya sama got me out of AOT depression train last month I was locked in because that first episode had me crying laughing (maybe it's just me). Not thinking anything, just watching. OP1 is personally drugs to the ears too. Don't forget the 3rd episode Ending song Teddyyyyy
Rudeus is a pervert that his main flaws and it won’t go away like magic. Change is a slow process specially when you had a wasted life like he had. If ppl can’t still see that he became better through the series until now then I don’t know what to say else. Also Lilia being faithful to rudeus because he saved her and her child. The way she teaches Aisha to be faithful to rudeus is her way to repent herself even it’s on a weird way. Then again we are in middle age lifestyle. Also Lilia is the rare person with Eris to accepted rudeus like he is. Even he has flaws rudeus have qualities. That doesn’t excuse the behavior he have sometimes but focusing only on his flaws won’t help to see that he’s redeeming himself slowly. This is a story of redemption and change and like in real life change is a slow process. The thing i like in this series is every character getting a second chance to be better. Paul, Eris, rudeus are a perfect exemple. Can’t wait to see the next reaction episode. It will be wild.
Another recommendation for RomCom is OreGairu or SNAFU or My Teen Romantic Comedy. It has 3 Season of 12 episodes or 13 episodes each. It has ended too. It kind of changed my perspective a lot about socializing and I don’t mean it in an teenage-edgelord way.
Oregairu could be a bit hard to get into if you can’t sympathize with the main characters at first. They grow and change but some people haven’t liked the show because of that
Light novel info: (no spoilers) Zanoba's reaction's to the figurines are understandable once you realise that in this world, not even the most skilled and equipped races could make something as detailed as those figures without immense difficulty. Rudeus had gone through days worth of time and a crap ton of mana trying to perfect the figurine overall and finer details like the thin parts of Roxy's staff (which took a day for a centimeter) whilst keeping the material used as tough and hard as possible to avoid fragility. It's like seeing the results of a century's leap in technology, but for figurine making. About Lilia and Aisha, when they arrived, Roxy had *just* left the Shirone Palace, they were that close to seeing each other. Also the anime did them dirty by teleporting them into a body of water, what kinda terrible luck is that. Other victims of the disaster could be off even worse than those two tho, since you could technically get teleported into the sky, it's just rare; however, keep in mind, if you scale the circle on the map which represents the area of effect for the disaster, it's about the size of SPAIN. While this world is less populous than ours, that's a lot of people who probably got teleported over the ocean, into the strife zone (a deadly area north of Shirone in which different nations duke it out without rest, surviving is nigh on impossible) or into the sky. Lilia and Aisha are now heading towards Millis to meet Paul + Norn, whilst Zanoba and Pax will be spilt up. Zanoba will be studying in a certain foreign country, and Pax was getting sent in the opposite direction; south to the "king dragon kingdom" as a hostage. His death would be insignificant there. Ginger is accompanying Zanoba, and for the time being Lilia + Aisha as well. About Blessed Children. AKA Miko(s) which means "Child of God". These people are normal humans with the exception that they have been born with a special power (non-hereditary), which are things like: Super Strength (Zanoba), mind reading, super speed, light weightiness or the reverse, poison fingertips (don't ask me), laser eyes, flight, detoxification, extreme lust (Rudy?), etc. There are also however, the reverse; Cursed Children. People in this world think they aren't related in any way, however they are the same thing. It's just Cursed children didn't win the divine lottery. If you get a power that is harmful/not useful, then you are a cursed child. The line between these two is thin, as if you think about it, Zanoba can be considered cursed, his strength can accidentally kill people, especially in youth when he doesn't know how to control it. This is what happened with his younger brother Julius when he was still a toddler (Julius) during a party/ceremony, and later on Zanoba's wife. Zanoba has about King level strength (on par with Ghislaine), but imagine if he had her skill too, he could easily be emperor. (beginner, intermediate, advanced, saint, king, emperor, god) Blessed Children do not of course, go unnoticed by the nation that they reside in, and are often turned into slaves by their rulers for their power. In the end, is it really a blessing? Of course Zanoba was naturally born royalty, and one of high ranking too, so he is an exception (Even without that, he can't really be ordered around without consequences, he doesn't hesitate to kill). However while Zanoba has ridiculous strength and physical defense (about the same as his physical offense, he is still human so he has normal stamina and has normal weakness to things like fire. Another detail, Ginger was the one Zanoba traded for the Roxy figurine, but she still stayed loyal to him. Finally, a few trivial details, when Rudeus met Aisha he tried testing if she was like him (reincarnated) because of her youthful intelligence by metioning a cell phone + tv, but she just looked confused, so she's just smart. She also said before they parted "Right now my brother is missing, if he's dead can I serve you instead?" damn aisha. Rudy responds: "No, I wouldn't be so sure of that." She also already knew who Rudeus really was, almost from the moment she met him due to his silent incantation and Eris' slip ups. She was just testing him. The king also offered the Court Magician spot to Rudeus, but he refused politely. Rudeus now has to follow his promise to the man god, since technically the advice helped him.
Something I noticed on second watch is that in episode 7, when Pax is being gross about the Roxy figurine you briefly see Zanoba through the door before it cuts away.

I'm just going to put this out there and maybe if alot of other people agree you decide to watch it at some point in the future. 'Made in Abyss' is a few episodes long and one of the most amazing, mesmerizing animes! Would be awesome to see a reaction of it at some point😃

In Lilia's defense, she knows that this is harsh world and that it's mostly run by men. She's trying to give Aisha practical skills to help her survive. She's probably teaching her at a young age because Aisha's smart and Lilia knows, especially now, that anything could happen and she might not have the chance to teach her that kind of stuff later.
"I glad they were sent away" joke's on you, characters that stay in place are the ones least likely to show up again, while characters on the move pop up on the regular I guess Kaguya-sama is very popular among romances, there is also Please Dont Toy With Me Miss Nagatoro, which is a girl on boy "bully romance," is about a guy who is shy, and a girl who is also shy, but hides it by being very aggressive
As messed up as Lilias mindset seems to be she is a commoner and thinks like one. Honestly a lot of messed up shit happened to her especially dealing with various nobles and I think she wants the best for Aisha. She knows Rudeus will care for and love Aisha, so teaching her to make him happy is paramount.
The mindset Aisha was raised with results in her doing something pretty terrible when she’s older in the light novels. Many people were so outraged by Aisha’s actions in that side story, that it was deleted by the author after the site managers straight up told him to remove it due to the backlash. The author has said that he’s been working on a modified version for years now and will upload it sometime in the future once he’s satisfied with it. The main problem is that what Aisha did is a really natural progression of her character when you know how she’s been raised, that the author has been struggling to re-write something that makes sense for the story.
I think Lilia is heavily influenced by Rudy saving her from making a dangerous winter journey with her newborn. She views Rudy as someone who doesn't give into anger and who will protect those close to him who she owes potentially her life to. I also think Lilia is unfairly getting criticism from Aisha testing Rudy

This largely stems from Lilia’s own complex that she’s merely Paul’s mistress and nothing more, she’s projected her own lack of self worth onto her daughter, and put the idea in her mind that she isn’t good enough because she’s an illegitimate child. She has raised Aisha with the idea in mind that she’s supposed to be the ideal partner for Rudeus. But Rudeus isn’t interested in that, and it’s because Aisha feels like she can’t fulfill the role she was raised to, that she does those things that people became so outraged about which got the side story deleted. Even worse is, once she’s discovered having done what she did, Lilia straight up offers to kill her own daughter for bringing shame on the family… I don’t really consider this a spoiler, because the side story doesn’t actually exist anymore…

It was at first. After Rudy saved her from being kidnapped and was also ready to leave the job because he didn't think he was wanted. She's grown out of it now as she's become a better person

I think hinamatsuri or Hataraku maou-sama would fit in since both of them are on the shorter side (half cour) both are supernatural comedies that can get emotional at times.
My Dress-up Darling is the outstanding Romance of the year, despite all the fan service the feelings this show gives everyone cannot be denied. Tons of laughs along the way combined with a education into cosplaying. Not to mention the artist on this team are the best going. My personal favorite thing that is not show cased enough is the change of cloths the mc's do in each episode make it even more realistic. Unlike most other shows where a character never wears a different set of cloths for the entire series this one has them in different cloths every scene outside of the school, which is so refreshing.
Just a friendly FYI for you Teddy, don't expect much on the love side of the love comedy that is Kaguya love is war, it's more like 80 comedy with 20 love added.

As a romantic anime I recommend Horimiya (2021). It's only 13 episodes, a single season that concludes the series.
Yea I like those no beating around the bush lol. Which honestly is extremely rare. Most with full seasons and still not break to much ground.

About Blessed Children. AKA Miko(s) which means "Child of God". These people are normal humans with the exception that they have been born with a special power (non-hereditary), which are things like: Super Strength (Zanoba), mind reading, super speed, light weightiness or the reverse, poison fingertips (don't ask me), laser eyes, flight, detoxification, extreme lust (Rudy?), etc. There are also however, the reverse; Cursed Children. People in this world think they aren't related in any way, however they are the same thing. It's just Cursed children didn't win the divine lottery. If you get a power that is harmful/not useful, then you are a cursed child. The line between these two is thin, as if you think about it, Zanoba can be considered cursed, his strength can accidentally kill people, especially in youth when he doesn't know how to control it. This is what happened with his younger brother Julius when he was still a toddler (Julius) during a party/ceremony, and later on Zanoba's wife. Zanoba has about King level strength (on par with Ghislaine), but imagine if he had her skill too, he could easily be emperor. (beginner, intermediate, advanced, saint, king, emperor, god)
Blessed Children do not of course, go unnoticed by the nation that they reside in, and are often turned into slaves by their rulers for their power. In the end, is it really a blessing? Of course Zanoba was naturally born royalty, and one of high ranking too, so he is an exception (Even without that, he can't really be ordered around without consequences, he doesn't hesitate to kill). However while Zanoba has ridiculous strength and physical defense (about the same as his physical offense, he is still human so he has normal stamina and has normal weakness to things like fire. Another detail, Ginger was the one Zanoba traded for the Roxy figurine, but she still stayed loyal to him.
Finally, a few trivial details, when Rudeus met Aisha he tried testing if she was like him (reincarnated) because of her youthful intelligence by metioning a cell phone + tv, but she just looked confused, so she's just smart. She also said before they parted "Right now my brother is missing, if he's dead can I serve you instead?" damn aisha. Rudy responds: "No, I wouldn't be so sure of that." She also already knew who Rudeus really was, almost from the moment she met him due to his silent incantation and Eris' slip ups. She was just testing him. The king also offered the Court Magician spot to Rudeus, but he refused politely.
Rudeus now has to follow his promise to the man god, since technically the advice helped him.
Something I noticed on second watch is that in episode 7, when Pax is being gross about the Roxy figurine you briefly see Zanoba through the door before it cuts away.

In Lilia's defense, she knows that this is harsh world and that it's mostly run by men. She's trying to give Aisha practical skills to help her survive. She's probably teaching her at a young age because Aisha's smart and Lilia knows, especially now, that anything could happen and she might not have the chance to teach her that kind of stuff later.

As messed up as Lilias mindset seems to be she is a commoner and thinks like one. Honestly a lot of messed up shit happened to her especially dealing with various nobles and I think she wants the best for Aisha. She knows Rudeus will care for and love Aisha, so teaching her to make him happy is paramount.
The mindset Aisha was raised with results in her doing something pretty terrible when she’s older in the light novels.
Many people were so outraged by Aisha’s actions in that side story, that it was deleted by the author after the site managers straight up told him to remove it due to the backlash.
The author has said that he’s been working on a modified version for years now and will upload it sometime in the future once he’s satisfied with it.
The main problem is that what Aisha did is a really natural progression of her character when you know how she’s been raised, that the author has been struggling to re-write something that makes sense for the story.
I think Lilia is heavily influenced by Rudy saving her from making a dangerous winter journey with her newborn. She views Rudy as someone who doesn't give into anger and who will protect those close to him who she owes potentially her life to.
I also think Lilia is unfairly getting criticism from Aisha testing Rudy

This largely stems from Lilia’s own complex that she’s merely Paul’s mistress and nothing more, she’s projected her own lack of self worth onto her daughter, and put the idea in her mind that she isn’t good enough because she’s an illegitimate child.
She has raised Aisha with the idea in mind that she’s supposed to be the ideal partner for Rudeus.
But Rudeus isn’t interested in that, and it’s because Aisha feels like she can’t fulfill the role she was raised to, that she does those things that people became so outraged about which got the side story deleted.
Even worse is, once she’s discovered having done what she did, Lilia straight up offers to kill her own daughter for bringing shame on the family…
I don’t really consider this a spoiler, because the side story doesn’t actually exist anymore…

She's not a tsundere, a tsundere is someone who acts normal but is "violent" against her love interest, Eris is violent with EVERYONE but the people she loves, she was just a mega spoiled brat.

My Dress-up Darling is the outstanding Romance of the year, despite all the fan service the feelings this show gives everyone cannot be denied. Tons of laughs along the way combined with a education into cosplaying.
Not to mention the artist on this team are the best going.
My personal favorite thing that is not show cased enough is the change of cloths the mc's do in each episode make it even more realistic. Unlike most other shows where a character never wears a different set of cloths for the entire series this one has them in different cloths every scene outside of the school, which is so refreshing.
