Ruby and Yang fight Emerald and Mercury.
Mercury: Alright Red, let’s see how tough you are without....(Ruby headbutts him)
Yang: Whoa sis, I never knew how good you were at giving Head.
Emerald: Does everything have to be a sex joke with you?
Yang: Have you met me?
(Weiss regains consciousness)
Weiss: Jaune, I would ask why I’m on the floor with you hovering over me, but I’m too out of it to care.
Jaune: You were dying and I’m healing you.
Weiss: Keep it up, I didn’t run away from my douche father to end up in the obituaries.
(Ren gets thrown into a wall by Hazel)
Nora: Hey! If anyone is going to slam Ren into the wall it’s going to be me.
(Hazel slams Nora onto the floor)
Hazel: WATCH OZPIN, AS ANOTHER GIRL IS KILLED BECAUSE OF YO.....WAIT WHATS HAPPENING?
(Nora absorbs Hazel’s power and throws him)
Nora: NORA SMASH.
( Hazel is knocked through the entrance)
Adam: So how’s your day going?
HAZEL: JUST NEED MORE VITAMIN D.
Blake: Adam, it’s time to put an end to your Third-reich esque nonsense.
Adam: Blake, you’re here. Not bound and gagged as I wanted, gonna have to follow up with Corsac and Fennec about that.
Blake: One’s dead and the other is in jail.
Adam: Which one is which?
Blake: Who cares, what you should be more concerned about this army that’s going to kick your ass.
Adam: Well, lets see how your army holds up to a sh*t-ton on TNT.
(Adam tries to set off dynamite but nothing happens)
Faunus: Sir, I can’t help but question why we made you our leader.
Adam: To hell with it, everyone fight.
(Hazel gets stabbed by Weiss’ summon)
Hazel: If I could feel pain right now this would hurt like a bitch.(Hazel is dragged back in by Weiss)
The fanbase rejoices as Team RWBY reunites.
Yang: Unresolved feelings toward my partner will have to wait, unresolved feelings towards my mother come first. (Yang heads to the vault)
In the vault
Cinder: So you had a decoy pretend to be you with the possibility she could be killed? Damn that ruthless, and I incinerated a girl just because I could.
(What follows is the a fight so epic, Monty is giving the thumbs up in heaven)
Raven: Hey, have you heard the saying about the cocky idiot who didn’t watch her back?
Vernal shoots Cinder and Raven blast her off the bridge.
Raven freezes Cinder and Pyrrha’s voice can be heard, “Karmas as biiiiittttccccchhhh”.
Raven: Thank you Vernal, you were like the daughter I never had until I met you because I abandoned my actual one.
Yang: Hey, forget something?
Raven: F*ck.

Adam got hit by blake just like that? C'mon adam,show your killer skill just like you do when cut off Yang's arm.
That time Yang was blinded by rage and Adam used that in his favor. This time, Adam was the one blinded by rage and Blake was the one to use that in her favor.

Soul, the aura thing has nothing to do with it. Adams semblance allows him to store up damage taken, even that which is blocked by his sword, and unleash it as a single powerful strike, much like how Yangs own semblance works, however, unlike hers, Adam can charge up his strikes without sacrificing his aura, whereas Yang ONLY gets stronger as her aura drops.
During the fight at Beacon, Yang had been fighting offscreen and had likely taken some hits. Adam had also been fighting, but as we saw when Blake shot at him, he was blocking damage with his sword and charging his semblance. Then, using Blake to enrage Yang, he used that anger against her, catching her with his charged up strike against her weakened aura.
In THIS situation, we have Adam at less than full power, himself enraged at having his plans fall apart, trying to kill someone who knows full well through years of experience with him what he is capable off, using that knowledge to dodge and blindside HIM. The situations are completely reversed. Blake knows Adams powers and fighting style, Yang did not. Yang was charging in in anger and got hit, Adam does the same, and also gets hit. Adams semblance was fully charged when facing Yang, it was not when facing Blake.
And this is without getting into the fact that aura is NOT perfect. It is not a 24 hour shield that is completely perfect. It takes concentration and effort to maintain. If you lose that focus for even a moment, you can still receive a fatal blow. This is why people like Sienna can be killed in an instant, or why people can get punched or slapped and feel pain and be injured in unexpected ways if they're not prepared for the strike.
Also, whilst he was knocked down by Blakes blow, he was hardly out of the fight. Probably felt more embarrassed at getting duped like that than anything. As we saw next episode, he was back up and fighting as if nothing had happened. The entire point of that scene was to show that Adam was completely breaking down and that, whilst strong in his semblance and a skilled swordsman, he is hardly indestructible, is emotionally unstable, and can't think tactically when it matters. He's an angry murderer with a single powerful ability, nothing more.
While I feel in the back of my mind that they kinda nerfed Adam (and Weiss) a lot this volume, every point you made is interesting and true. Only thing I'd like to add- in your favor- is that while aura isn't perfect 100% of the time, it also doesn't automatically make someone immobile. Aura makes it so you don't bleed out and die when getting stabbed, but the physics are still THERE. People can get punched, feel it despite being numbed a bit, and fall down. Many characters have done it in fights where their aura was actively up, and Adam didn't even seem to take any actual damage, just thrown off guard, enraged and embarrassed that Blake outsmarted him.

After rewatching ch11 and ch13 over and over again, they definitely nerfed Weiss and Adam. Her summoning has never taken that long before and she can regularly do it almost instantly. And Adam was able to basically teleport past Yang in Vol.3 and slice her arm clean off before she even had a chance to hit him.
The fact that her summoning took forever and that he was thwacked by that simple of a move from Blake...
VArkelS summoning requires concentration which is a little harder to do when fighting a person whom if you don't want to get hit by needs focus and adam had conflicting emotions towards blake which probably slowed him down on one hand he wants her dead on the other he wants her in bed.
Shinyrelic It would make more sense if Adam was just too angry to reason and so got hit so easily. The problem is why didn't his aura didn't protect him? Did RT forgot again?
Aura doesn't prevent you from being hit - just look at every other fight that has taken place in the series.
