    Would like some wheat germ be better? I'm just thinking the wheat thins have flavoring on them, which has a lot of salt...

      Go to your local microbrewery you can usually get spent grains for free, just dry them out in your oven at 170 degrees F and then blitz them in a food processor

      Or wheat flour, it’s already powdered.

    Too much calcium is bad for the dubias, it makes it harder for them to shed. Just dust when feeding as you need to do anyways for some.

    It would be nice if he gave all measurement of the recipes, not only the corn flakes.

      I'll be honest I had no clue what I was doing and my roaches hated this chow. I just mixed a bunch of random stuff together.

    Can u use the dragon pellets for a leopard?

    • @clownh00ker
      @clownh00ker 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. Your (i'm assuming you mean leopard gecko) won't eat the beardie pellets, the roaches will. The roaches will digest and metabolize the nutrients in them, then your leo will eat the roach that's packed with nutrients. Kinda like how you can feed live crickets lettuce, but you can't feed lettuce to your leopard gecko.

    When you give your chow to dubia how long can it be on a plate till you have to change it ? Can you keep it there for a week straight? Or you need to change it more often?

    Question: Would I need to add the calcium if I'm feeding the dubia to tarantulas only?
    I know reptiles needs more calcium than Ts do.

    Do you use the Beardie pellets if you give your dubias to Leopard geckos? (probably silly question) xD

    I never liked the pellets because they're made with chicken meal, which is high in phosphorus.

    Very cool, I bought a big bag of Chicken Feed with Calcium, but seem to have gotten grain mites from them. So i basically have been veggies only right now. Does that Calcium have d3 in it?

      @reemsosa5378 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mo Jones yea thankyou but im talking about before feeding them when i first make it in the blender the bearded dragon pellets won’t grind up there so hard/: lol i was wondering what you do to get it so fine and powdery should i get a different blender i used two different kinds still no luck so ive been making it and sifting the pellets out, they eat fine but always leave the hard pieces behind, i keep a heater infront of the bin so temp and humidity are not a worry they are breeding like crazy, just want to makesure im feeding then properly thanks for the tips on the veggies i never feed them those because i figure leopard geckos (which is what the dubias are fed too) don’t really eat veggies but there’s ton of nutrients that can help the dubias so i was unsure to use veggies or not thankyou for the tip

      tbh I don't even see this stuff disappearing, but I haven't had any deaths and I've had these Dubia's for a few months now... I do give them a carrot every other day or so and they eat like 10% or so of it and I did buy Repashy bug burger and they are some of that. So anyway I don't fully know yet if they like my chow or not 🤔
