Dollar-for-dollar, the best multi-efx on the market. Our dream was to develop a compact and versatile multi-efx pedal at the right price. We understand that both beginners and working musicians are looking for compact size and great sound at an affordable price. This was a big challenge, and we're proud to say we did it!

I got this! Considering its packed features, I honestly think it is priced lower than it should. It's a keeper. Two thumbs up to NUX.

So this is what 12 years of technical progress does: the sound quality of the Axe-FX (first generation, 2010) in a small box for 99 euro's. Quite impressive. :-)

I received my nux mg 300 this week and it works fantastic, I designed and built a 60 watt pocket amp the size a half credit card, it's a perfect combination.

I’ve tried some Nux pedals and while nice and well built my boutique pedals have stayed on the board. But! The demos of this pedal are pretty amazing. The plastic does not bother me. No one has reported that it broke in two, at least yet.
There are times when I do not want to lug around my pedal board(s) or deal with power supply, connection issues or settings that were moved by gremlins or misguided foot work.
I am hopeful that this unit is the ticket. If so, the MG30 might also be of interest. The stereo out is what really sold me. My old Fender Acoustasonic Jr. takes stereo pedals in its effect loop. This a really underrated amp that goes for about $200 or less used.
It has an amazing chorus built in that shuts off once the effects loop is plugged in.
Question: I know the “out” jack is stereo with a splitter or stereo cable but is the “in”jack stereo also or just mono?
I need the send and return to be stereo for the effects loop. If not, I may have to get a mono to stereo adapter.

I've spent a lot of time getting the Amps right before touching anything else with my unit.
Went with the Valeton GP-100 (all metal case and crap presets) and it's taking many hours to dial in the Amps and finding appropriate IR's (finding that 10" speaker IR's work best, inbuilt one's are horrid)
Found that the dry patches need to be tweaked for different guitars.
The approach I'm taking for the GP-100:
1/ In the user area, create patches for each of the available Amp models
2/ Load a bunch of 10" cab IR's, match to amps and set cabs to 100% volume (makes gain staging within the Amp more efficient to achieve performance levels)
3/ Once each Amp/IR combo is set, copy the patches to other slots and tweak for the next guitar.
4/ Set up FX in each patch and decide which blocks to assign to the foot-switches for on/off operation
5/ Do global patch saves as the work progresses
6/ Once patches are locked down, save everything as single patches.
7/ Make a note of the IR used for each patch, because these don't get saved with the global/ patch saves in my experience

Some amp modeling's from the MG 300 may blend very well with your amp set on flat EQ, but some high output modeling may be to much for your amp to handle, it creates awful muddy and scratchy sounds. It's best to turn off or bypass the amp and cabs off the MG 300 and use the natural sound of your amp, for clean sounds and overdrive setting in some high gain simulations... Always set the out ut to the front of the amp combo or stack.

Funny thing is, just yesterday I was checking out the NuX here on youtube, I'm very tempted to buy it tomorrow.
A big thanks Mike for doing this review.
I haven't watched it yet...but will do now.
One question though, how good is the phones out and is it stereo or mono?
Also...would a Source Audio Kingmaker in front be any good?
    Thanks alot!
Oh...and when you load your own IR's can you load your own reverbs?
    If you know 😉

    • @JohnNugroho
      @JohnNugroho 3 ปีที่แล้ว

For output, there is only one output jack, you can plug in your headphone or direct to a mixer, by default it is a stereo, but there is an output mode settings that lets u choose direct studio or combo front or combo rear or stack front or stack rear

Hello nice Videos i subd;). Torn between 2 multieffect units One Question: What about nux mg300 compare to the boss gt1??? Tone wise and quality of the effects? A good Rectifier would be nice!

    • @thedeadxtras9927
      @thedeadxtras9927 3 ปีที่แล้ว

In my opinion mate I’d go for the NUX as the boss GT1 looks pretty plasticky and also a bit naff but only my opinion probably has decent sounds??
The NUX though is 32bit TSAC technology, you can chain order of effects in your pedal chain, metal foot switches like normal pedals, a really good real-time editing app and quite a bit cheaper!!!
I was going to buy either a MOOER GE150, Valeton GP100 or a Flamma FX100 which are all basically the same product in different chassis, then I though I’d compare with this NUX MG300 and this one does it for me especially price, quality and size to use as a backup when rehearse with my band when feeling lazy and don’t want to lug all my gear to rehearsal or if I have a problem with something on my pedalboard I can just pull this little baby out of my bag and plug it in in seconds and away I go, then I won’t have an impatient bass player & drummer who no nothing about gear moaning and wanting me to hurry up. Good luck with whatever product you decide to purchase my friend, if you need anymore advice on gear don’t be afraid to contact me only happy to try and help you best way I can, cheers Steve.

Very good guy. However, I have a question. Is this NUX Jazz JZ Chorus the same one that comes with the NUX mini go loader??? I only play a clean sound with little reverb The Mini Pulse is very good and also has acoustic IRs, but the MG has beats, a noise looper and a compressor. I don't know if the NUX 300 has Ambience. If you could say hello I would appreciate it ok🎉🎉🎉 Like and subscribe Thanks

i thought the same.. but you have 25 slots to customize your own internally in the box or on computer and you can still use default do not return as you can turn the volume levels gain presence down and save and add thing like chorus and what not spend a little more time with it .. ive had this unit for only 6 days and man the the jam loooper is what ive dreamed of song in 10 minutes hold on to it learn it you wont regret it

@@caveboy2497 I packed mine up today after giving it a week of trials it's going back. One massive problem I found in nearly all cabs/amps is there are strange brittle transients that can not be EQed out. This amongst all the other low quality problems proves it is not even good enough for semi pro's, kids yes I suppose.
