Just finished a build in the Corsair 680X, with extra LL120 fans and the Commander Pro. Love Corsair stuff, but they do know how to charge. Also, their iCue Software doesn't run correctly if you have Hardware Monitor running, so keep that in mind if you intended on running both together.
you forget to mention how you can select each RBG zone unique, so that different zones have different setups, so you can super costumize it. Inner ring back has 4 zones that you can do what you want with individually. same goes for front inner ring and the same goes for both the outer rings. It is amazing.
Great info, I just bit the bullet and bought 9 of the ql 120s for my new lian li 011 dx build. Such great looking fans, pricey but will look fantastic in the end! Thanks for sharing!
get 3 more, i got 10 ql120s and lian li strimmers and 16 more gb of corsair ram to fill up my case, costed 750 usd for all of those stuff but its worth it
Hey nice vid, have you heard of the commander core? It’s one module that you can plug in the power and rgb cable in same module but I asked around in the Corsair discord and apparently it won’t work without the iCUE capelix cooler
thermaltake quads are probably the best fans i have used. Corsair is lucky to have icue so polished. I wish asus and thermaltake would take notice at how good software, raises the value of mediocre hardware and how bad software lowers the value of premium hw.
You can buy adaptors to make other brand fans compatible with icue and sync them that way. It's not cheap you want to run a ton of fans but it's an option if you have a 200mm fan or something like that.
@@digitalcthulhu143 yes sir. You're absolutely right. I rebuilt my girls pc with a rog board and corsair ram, aio lcd and fans. Needed a adapter from a lian li triple vga controller to a corsair node pro. It's a beautiful thing.
Well the title of this video is wrong.... Corsair iCUE ML120 RGB ELITE Premium Fans are the most expensive of the Corsair line.... Not the QL fans. Mag lev will always be more expensive that other bearing types
I've had too many corsair fans die or become unuseable due to hub vibration that i simply don't recommend them unless you expect a max of 2 years of of your fans. Sidenote, all failures have been SP 120rgb elites while a much older first gen ML 120 seems to be doing fine.
ML fans have the longest life expectancy overall, which is why I will be spending just under $1,000 AUD on 15x Corsair iCUE ML120 RGB ELITE Premium 120mm Fans (already got 9, 6 to go)
@@StonedViper101Interesting flex. I bought a 3 pack for the front intakes, will see how long they last; Nice and quiet though. Also a fair bit brighter than the SP120's with the same LED arrangement.
@@MDxGano Umm that wasn't a flex... What did you buy a 3 pack of? the QL or the ML? Tried Youtubing it, tried many fixes, and still nothing changes. My best option is to set them to static colour and have it at blue. Not sure if I should contact the PC shop I bought them from, and try to get a fan on warranty, or if I should try using the Corsair Commander Pro instead of the lighting node core. Would you have any thoughts on this??
@@StonedViper101 Sorry, not often people mention spending a grand on computer case fans without some sort of ego boosting pretention. Nothing wrong with buying what you like. Got the same ML120 RGB elites as you, replaced all 3 front intakes. I've also had that OG red ML120 for as long as i've had a SF120 as a rear exhaust (going on 6 years i believe) and neither have given issues, just front intakes and hub vibration form the QL's. Come to think of it, all my Cougar fans died in similar fashion as well eons ago. Shame, they were so ahead of their time and just kinda fell off the face of the earth as a company.
