The name came from the "alien" character those muskets brought in by the British to fight within the Maori tribes presented for them, compared to the traditional weaponry they had before (you know, bows and arrows, spears..) That was alien weaponry for them.

As a showcase for such an awesome young band, it's really disappointing to have such awful sound production! I hope that everyone even slightly interested in their story will go on and look at the official videos to hear them as the should sound.
