Saw these guys open for Gojira earlier this month-they were awesome! I always love seeing metal come from or being enjoyed by people who you may not expect-it shows just how universal this genre is (minus the elitist gatekeepers who can give entire fanbases a bad name) and how there are still so many unique directions in which metal can go. Way to go boys! 🤘
I had never ever heard of Māori culture or the people until i bought Gojira tickets earlier this past summer. I decided to check out the supporting bands and was blown away by these guys. When I found out they were super young and that Henry and Lewis were brothers…I was all in. I have 4 boys and to see how these guys get along is so inspiring. I’m old enough to be their mother but I LOVE what they’re doing for Māori and I learned a few songs bc they ROCK!
Nothing breaks brotherhood in bands. All the greats, Pantera, Van Halen, AC/DC, and their inspiration Gojira. These guys are a breath of fresh air and I love it. Henry Is the fucking man
Gotta check this band out...love New Zealand and family are from the North Island. Plan on returning again...all the best from out here on land with the Kangaroos in Victoria Australia.
U both are beautiful human being, with deep spiritual ties to ur ppl & land. I am proud to have a chance to get to know ur home thru ur music! Ur fantastic! End of story! There are only a few bands in this world, who have reached that level of recognition! I am proud of u as human beings! I think we wudget along splendidly, if we were ever to meet!❤❤😊
a bit early to be considered "legends", unless you use that term very loosely. lol they're great at what they're doing, i have their album and like it. I also love their embrace of their culture with the Haka and everything else they incorporate in their band. I think they have a lot of potential and they'll only continue to get better and their fanbase will def grow too.
Bros. I'm nudging 50, and have 100% white DNA. I grew up in waiwhetu, and our local kohanga reo was one of the first in nz. Str8 up, I fucking love what you fellas do. Carry the torch and.educate the worl. Because only when the world is educated will tbe 'wangareis', 'wanganuis' and 'paraparams' actually sit the fuck up and take notice. Kia kaha from Te Whanganui A Tara

Henry and Lewis de Jong. With this surname they should be descendants of Dutch or Flemish immigrants. Love the powerful mix of metal and Haka!
