I am tryna make some pointy aggressive bass for a Bass House but mine sounds dull. Serum’s LFOs are not enough. The two experts on this that comes to my mind are Pegboard Nerds and Jauz. Idk if theres some tool or technique that I’ve been missing.
One of my favorite things to play is this velocity-sensitive slap bass synth, that only slaps at high velocities. So something about assigning parameters to different velocities. Also, gated arpeggiators.
Discovered your channel several weeks ago and been watching a few things as I'm new to Ableton, just wanna say thanks for the great creative videos you do
Thanks for making this video on this new Grain Scanner. For me Granulator II is still the favourite granular synth with Live. I've used it in many of my own sound design and ambient noise texture videos.
Awesome, you sold me on it! You mentioned you had a tutorial to create the project at 7:30; can you post the link for that? I'm new to Ableton so trying to figure out how to create some of those sounds.
Awesome, love them effects on the second vocal. Like Tippers sound fx, and that underground sewer sounded ace. I’m away from my computer for a few days so can’t check but do you think Granulator can achieve similar sounds or is it better/easier in Grain Scanner?
I’ve brought grain scanner, Quanta, Portals Granular synth and I can say that Abletons granulator 2 and Simplers Granular modes are by far the best granular synths. However, Quanta is very good at making pads!!!
Just so everyone knows, there are free granulaizers on the max4live(.com) site. Their all amazing, and if anyone hasnt delved into m4l before, i HIGHLY recommend checking out all the cool free things the community has created for ableton. It's an entire world of cool plug ins people have created.
I dunno. Maybe I should start my videos like this... "Yo yo yo wassup guys, it's ya boi Slynk back atcha with another big tutorial. Before I get started, make sure you drop a nuclear warhead on that like and subscribe button"
@@Slynk Urban Dictionary: Wet Willy When one wets a finger, generally the pinky, usually by covering it in saliva then inserts into somebodys earhole and spins eraticly causing overall discomfort in order to wreak havoc or humiliate. Slynk can do anythink you can imagine with simpler and more. This new tool is really great, like the other "Amazing Noises" Max devices how I can see now...
What should I do my next tutorial about?
how to grow a stache
Moustachular Synthesis, obviously.

For sure. I prefer the grain scanner but techniques apply to both. Glad you liked the video.

Great tutorial. Is there anything remotely resembling this in stock Ableton?

Good vibes. Cheers.
YA MANS IS BACK!
Maybe for videos like these, increase the zoom (in Preferences) so we can see the instrument on small monitors, e.g. laptop.
Fair point.
Thanks Slynk!!!!!

Yeah I got sick of being hit with copyright claims.
Dude 06:54! >_
Pretty cool intro
, did you make that yourself?
I made the audio. A fan made the animation.
so funny and useful! thanks!
Do you do lessons?
I don't usually do private lessons.
I hope this comes with Ableton 11. WOW!
It doesn't.
@@Slynk Thanks! I'll either buy this one or experiment with the one in Pigments.

The Halo OST gave me goosebumps
How do you not have a million subs?

@@Slynk It's because you don't put out enough videos. The guys with big subs put out a video every week.

No thanks 😂

Yyaaayyyyy
haha cool mustache
The Halo part made me sick lol
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
He did not....... just had to pull out the Halo theme song
lmao r u high
Quite the opposite my friend. I don't use cannabis or nicotine or any other drug for that matter. I'm proud of it too.
Just use simpler!!!
You can do granular-like things with simpler yes but it's much more difficult and not fully featured like an actual granular synth will be.
