This movie is the only reason I can get my bearings in random locations. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. Thanks Jackie chan and Owen Wilson. I can kind of navigate because of you two 😆
My favorite Owen Wilson movies are this and its sequel, Cars 1-3, Night At The Museum 1-3, The Haunted Mantion (2023), Marley and Me, Marmaduke, Meet The Parants/Fockers and Free Birds.
This is the part where Jackie chan’s character finally gets what Roy has been saying about the “The west and the East “ 👏👏👏, if they were in china 🇨🇳, it would be the other way around ( this is the East, not the West and the sun ☀️ may set where you live🇺🇸, but here 🇨🇳is where it Rises)
If a third movie were ever to be released, it would probably portray late 19th century China in an overly flattering light and ignore how the first movie made it a point that China was a horrible and abusive place to live in at that point of time because of its rigid caste system Seriously, a low born citizen of China who spent his childhood enduring an abusive government, standing up and defying his high born superiors, and ultimately succeeds by leaving that abusive system to pursue a life of freedom in a democratic country? Hollywood can't afford to upset its China overlords
To be fair, the Chinese Communist Party see itself as the force that liberated China from the oppressive Imperial system. The CCP made it a point to ensure the last emperor of China lived a life humble to the point of humiliating

@iakadayrneh this is like how I imagined Vladimir Putin to be a James Bond Movie villain. It's just me likening Xi Xinping to a movie villain. But Mr. Xi can change. @@chrisjackson8151 You misunderstood, what you said is what I had a problem with you comparing a president with an Emperor. Do you know that Emperors are a monarch so hierarchically they are above a king and a president. In this movie the Chinese princess was above even the United States president. So just don't compare any commoner president to a monarch godly emperor or a king.

2:23-2:45 that’s what I liked about this scene, when he remembered from Roy obannon.
Literally?.
@Marley: Not everywhere. In the Southern hemisphere it is the other way round…😅
This is how I always remembered my directions growing up

you can feel the power as he rises
2:23-2:38 I liked it how he remember the line from Roy.
I’ve been to Japan, the land of the rising sun. I came back to Georgia where the sun sets in the west.
Fun fact: the Japanese considers China “hell” as the sun descends upon it 🤣
The point is a metaphor in China they obey orders while Americans make their own rules
@@restart426: I doubt this “fun fact” as China is very much to the North from Japan😂
this might go down as the best movie in history
The master imperial guard who read the decree is played by Rongguang Yu, well-known as Iron Monkey in the 1993 movie namesake starring Donnie Yen!
I like to lick a diddy circus dancin man, it was the famine
Is that Guan Yu from Romance of the three kingdoms(2010) as one of the Imperial guards?
2:21 me answering the essay question of my astronomy exam
Eddie Dingle lol
I acctually had that question on a test when i was in highschool .And i remember this scene and got the right answer .

Not really. He means East.
@@nathancruz9172 I know, dude. It was joke.
Now that I have read this I can't go back to hearing East😂

It’s the same problem as “ear”/“year” for some😅
And we kept heading east dammit
