Dana 44 axle shaft SET10 bearing discussion.

Checking an axle shaft to make sure you have enough press fit for the bearing to be installed properly. I INCORRECTLY state at the 3 min mark I have .001" press when I mean .010" ....

Hi, is there any note regarding end play of this axel or preload? I have some play (inside-outside) at one side after bearing replacement. I'm thinking to add a differential side bearing shim to get rid of this axel end play. What do you think?

This is a Dana 44 axel. I dont think there is any end play adjustment. There usually is end play on these type of axles. I can try and do a video of mine at somepoint if you want. There should be a book spec. someplace.

@@oldblueaccord2629 I have workshop manual but there is nothing about this type of play. The roller bearing shoudn't has any play as i know. Please check, if you can. I have 0,2mm end play.

I need to add this is an International Dana 44 from 1979. They dont have preload adjuster like some axles do.
