These videos are a great way to humanize officers to a society full of people who only see the youtube videos of "when it goes wrong." Its crucial for people to be able to see the human beings behind the badge, the good bad and ugly, the amount of work thats required, how mentally draining of a job it is, to hear the same rebuttal complaints from citizens day in and day out and not knowing if "this time its the truth or not?" The amount of verbal abuse, and criticisms, etc. Its a tough job, and it has to be done right, and done with a seemingly endless supply of mental energy. A balance of compassion vs. firmness. Police and citizens have a lot of healing to do and a lot of trust to earn back with each other. These kinds of videos will help, I think. Lets hope.
