The Pigg-o-stat was not made to prevent exposure to radiation. It was created to hold a child so that they had a harder time moving, so the radiographers could get a proper chest X-ray, both AP/PA and lateral images with minimal movement, and proper collimating, so that they would not need to do repeat images. So, the pigg-o-stat was made to reduce radiation exposure by reducing the number of repeat images, not preventing exposure to radiation.
I volunteer for a student run business in Tacoma Washington called Bee253, while he is correct that that honey Is usually spun, the entire process is a bit different. We bring in our frames (the things the Honey comb and the comb for Brood aka baby bees are built on in a man-made hive) and we take a heated knife to cut off the caps (the white part covering the honey, which is made by the bees by flapping their wings really fast and creating heat, therefore melting the wax over the top). We do this process for both sides of the frame. We then place them into a "chamber" called a Honey Extractor or a Centrifuge, the centrifuge has racks to hold the frames. We then turn a handle which spins the frames and pushes the honey out using centrifugal force. After, we turn the frames around and repeat for that side. We do this until all of the honey we are harvesting is extracted. After all of that we transfer it all into a bucket through the spout at the bottom of the centrifuge and then from the spout of the buckets we transfer them to jars. We then label them for what hive they came from (each hive has different types of plants and flowers, so each hive has a different taste. For example, one of our hives has a very distinct minty taste to it, whereas another one has a very distinct lemony taste to it.) We then put them on our online store and sell our honey.
