My husband thinks it's morbid that I like watching these episodes so much, but I'm a retired lawyer, so the process of evidence gathering, and the conduct in court, in each case is fascinating to me, but not least, I feel like we are doing justice to the victims and their families by taking an interest and keeping their stories alive.
My husband thinks that it's fueling my distrust over people. Watching the news or movies isn't that far away from 48hours.
If anything I think it helps women. Gives them warning signs, maybe situations they didn't know about before on how to protect themselves.

Yeah I live in Oregon, the death penalty is still on the books here but a moratorium was put in place in 2011 to cease all executions. In 2020 our democrat governor granted clemency to all 17 of our death row inmates, converting their death sentences to Life without Parole.

As much as some men complain about women and those types of superficialities, the reality is that everyone's attracted to something different. I have female friends who have partners who I wouldn't consider conventionally attractive, but they seem perfectly attracted to them. Things like a great sense of humor, confidence, passion, and talent really go a long way.
