Not really. The main use of juggling a ball to show ball mastery is at younger ages, say under 6s-under 10s. I can punt a ball as high as I can in the air and my son (7) can bring it under control before it bounces, and transition that smoothly into a dribble or shot. Despite being one of the slowest players in his team, in his games he wins nearly all 1-1s, frequently winning 1v2s and 1v3s. He can only juggle about 10 times at his best. There's another kid in his team who can juggle up to 50 times. I stat their games as I help coach and this kid messes up quite a lot of his traps, gets tackled about 90% of the time and cannot control bouncing balls. Learning to juggle hasn't improved his ball control in any tangible way on the field, if he had spent that time doing actual ball mastery practice he'd probably be a lot better, and in a few years he'd naturally be able to do those 50 juggles. What's even weirder is that he and my son often play football tennis together, and he always loses heavily, because his juggling relies on him being able to remove all spin and hit the ball to the exact same spot every time, whilst in games that rarely happens.

Juggling already helps a ton but what really helped me control the ball better is learning a couple around the world variations. I always played at almost the lowest level possible and I learned a lot of these skills in a week of intense practice on a boring family holiday so it's not necessarily impossible for bang average players to learn them at all and improve as a result imo.

Repeat, but try to control exactly how it gets back to your hand, so you don’t have to reach out for it. Backspin helps. Then go for 2 perfect. Then 3. This allows you to make small mistakes but not run to get it and to get a good base juggle you can return to if it starts to get out of control. I attribute fully my ability to control the ball first touch in almost any situation AND set up my next move with that same or the second touch to the fact that when I was a kid I used to spend hours doing kick ups (it’s what we call juggling in the UK) in our back yard. Another little trick for your control that I used to do is, if you have a dog just try and keep ball off it. The dog will go mad chasing the ball and you just have to keep it away from them. As a winger i also used to try and get past the dog like you would a full back which also helps your sprint speed over first few yards. I digress. I didn’t really think about this stuff as training because I was a kid but it’s two things I tell every young player to do. In fact I’m 40 yo now and I still do this stuff in our back garden. But yeah, “juggling” is key. Doesn’t have to be flashy, just keep the ball in the air and under control.

You HAVE to know juggling. Familiarize yourself with the ball. If you can’t juggle, then you won’t understand the essentials of taking a good first touch. And if you can’t do that, then you’ll never improve. If you can have intimacy with the ball, then you can have the correct first touch, you can be a better decision maker, and you can actually translate what’s in your head into an actual game. Therefore, LEARN TO JUGGLE.

Basic juggling is the first step of developing a great first touch. Controlling the ball a foot off the ground is one thing…but the next step is wall ball. stand 10 feet from the wall, pass it in the air and when it comes off the wall, can you take a control touch, then play it back on the wall with your next touch. How many passes can you do without it hitting the ground. The further you go from the wall, the harder this exercise is. But this is one example of the type of touch required to make it at the pro level.

I can't juggle 100 can do 20 my hip hurts after that ,but in a game I have better touches passes and shots then people that can juggle like they are at a circus.

pratice more, try hopping on one leg whilst juggling, your standing leg would be the issue, and usually when your stronger foot is the standing leg.

I can’t juggle the ball for toffee. But I can dribble better than most people. Then I can pass cross or shoot at the end of it. I have that unpredictability that’s required. I was an elite level player. The game is called football. Not juggle ball. Sure you look cool doing that stuff. But the real ballers know it’s about when and how to pass and move. Playing simple football well. Looks simple but only the best are capable of doing it. Players like scholes butt and carrick would still terrorise defences today. None were technically gifted. All just played simple football. But you will never see a better trio in the midfield

I am sure juggling helped out Ronaldinho Dennis Bergkamp how many times Ronaldinho done it in the match when it's necessarily and Bergkamp goals when he just touches it out the sky and scores a Epic goal probably one of the best goals ever against Argentina and the one against Southampton or was it Leicester😂 how you supposed to control a ball in the air without juggling with both feet

this entire question is so backwards, and that even with the explanation given in the answer here.
being pro level has nothing to do with skills like juggling, but juggling is a result of (and a way to practice) good ball control. if you can't consistently control the ball, you're not pro level. simple as that. some arbitrary number of juggles says so little about that.

Yes, but it's kind of a waste of time to regularly do that many. Once you can juggle a few hundred times, then doing a few sets of 100 a few times per week is probably enough time spent on that skill, and you should look to spend more time developing the other areas of your game.
