OMG LD!!! This is breaking my heart, words just don't work here..This is exactly like my golden retriever Max, best dog ever...he was 13 when I hauled him into the vet, He lived 1993 till 2006. Just thinking that's probably close to your age with your dog now 🐕. I actually bawled uncontrollably when I saw him go through the pet door. I never do that, not for any human. It's cliche to say I feel your pain, but in this case I really do...memories keep flooding back...I'd love to swap stories with you.His behaviors touched me, like really! More than any person. I'm going on too much...feel the need to talk. Devastating.

Most of us know how hard losing a pet can be. I had to have my 14 year old schnauzer put down 2 months ago. He was a Christmas gift for my twin daughters when they were 4 or 5. I still sometimes catch myself wondering where he is for a few short seconds. I feel for ya brother

So sorry 😢 I had a golden retriever for 8 years. She died of stomach cancer. My favorite breed, they do love the family, they can be dressed up, wear hats and glasses...so patient lol. Your dog lived a long life at 13! Hate to see them go, but they should never suffer. God Bless Chewy 🙏
Oooh I so get it! Just lost my dog a month ago and it hurts. Please Mr. LD don't worry about the videos. Don't push yourself. Im glad for the update though. Very thoughtful of you..Your adoptive TH-cam family likely would have been worried! They put our dog on Carprophen pills (doggie Ibuprophen). It helped for a couple days, but she then started vomiting profusely. That stuff is rough on the stomach. If Chewy is not eating now....this is the most loving thing you can do is set him free. Such a hard decision. My heart aches for you and the family. Take your time to heal. We will still be here when you are ready.

LD. hello. I’m sorry Your family is going through this. I have a 13 year old dog and I noticed her back leg is giving her trouble. I know she’s aging and it scares me so much. My 3 dogs are my babies. They all live inside and are so spoiled. They have the best life as Chewy does. Keep the memories and allow the kiddos to say their goodbyes. When we lost a dog a few years ago ago we got him cremated and we have him at home with us along with a nice paw print. It’s really big bc he was a Great Dane .. it is very hard. I am sorry about the pain, LD. I’ll be thinking of you and the family. I pray everything goes smoothly. 💚🙏🏻🐶🌈🌈⭐️✝️❌⭕️❌

I have dry heaves pretty much every morning, anxiety through the roof. like I don’t have a drink I’m gonna stroke out. also pretty sure have gout on my left foot second to the last toe by the pinky. I broke down a bit while watching this. My Labrador retriever is 13 and has been having more and more trouble walking. Today he started throwing up and even drinking water just throws it right back up again. My husband is taking him this evening to the vet to see what is going on (I will stay with our 6 and 3yr old). So we are right there where you are, I am afraid. I pray you all are at peace with this. It is so, so hard. I think with the busyness of kids and life I just don’t appreciate how important he is to us, but it kinda all hit me at once today. So, so difficult.

I'm so sorry to hear this, LD. I have a long story about my 15-year old cat. Long story short, i was told he had esophageal cancer in December, and took him to be euthanized, but he had gained weight, so i decided to postpone it. Well, I put him on a natural protocol, and he is doing fine now. The vet now thinks that it wasn't cancer.
@@liverdisease-qb6rk I know! I grieved for probably about 2 months, thinking he was eventually going to get worse and die, but he just kept getting better.
@@Mmoose712 It really made me think, to be absolutely sure that the animal couldn't get better before euthanizing them. My kitty had swallowed a ribbon from a balloon and I saw it right before it completely disappeared down his throat. I panicked and pulled it out quickly. I think it hurt his esophagus, because he started going downhill a week or so afterward. The vet saw a sore near his throat and treated him with an antibiotic. He was some better, but still acted like he couldn't breathe well. So she sedated him and looked further in his throat and saw a big mess that looked like cancer to her. Eventually he quit doing the funny breathing, and is back to normal (for a 15-year-old cat). He's the best cat I ever had and I'm just so grateful to God for letting him stay with me longer!
Cat's rule! I don't know what I'd do without my little girl. She was homeless and my mom adopted her. After Mom passed, I take care of her (haha, I think she takes care of me more than I take care of her).

I have dry heaves pretty much every morning, anxiety through the roof. like I don’t have a drink I’m gonna stroke out. also pretty sure have gout on my left foot second to the last toe by the pinky. I broke down a bit while watching this. My Labrador retriever is 13 and has been having more and more trouble walking. Today he started throwing up and even drinking water just throws it right back up again. My husband is taking him this evening to the vet to see what is going on (I will stay with our 6 and 3yr old). So we are right there where you are, I am afraid. I pray you all are at peace with this. It is so, so hard. I think with the busyness of kids and life I just don’t appreciate how important he is to us, but it kinda all hit me at once today. So, so difficult.

I'm so sorry to hear this, LD. I have a long story about my 15-year old cat. Long story short, i was told he had esophageal cancer in December, and took him to be euthanized, but he had gained weight, so i decided to postpone it. Well, I put him on a natural protocol, and he is doing fine now. The vet now thinks that it wasn't cancer.
I'm so glad to hear this! I euthanized a pet once and I still feel terrible about it.

@@Mmoose712 It really made me think, to be absolutely sure that the animal couldn't get better before euthanizing them. My kitty had swallowed a ribbon from a balloon and I saw it right before it completely disappeared down his throat. I panicked and pulled it out quickly. I think it hurt his esophagus, because he started going downhill a week or so afterward. The vet saw a sore near his throat and treated him with an antibiotic. He was some better, but still acted like he couldn't breathe well. So she sedated him and looked further in his throat and saw a big mess that looked like cancer to her. Eventually he quit doing the funny breathing, and is back to normal (for a 15-year-old cat). He's the best cat I ever had and I'm just so grateful to God for letting him stay with me longer!
Cat's rule! I don't know what I'd do without my little girl. She was homeless and my mom adopted her. After Mom passed, I take care of her (haha, I think she takes care of me more than I take care of her).
