3:50 I had a few jolts from 240v, a few were just a little tickle and barely noticeable and others gave me a huge jolt up the arm and knocked me backwards. guess body resistance has a lot to do with it, sweat, what shoes you wear and the type of flooring you stand on, ect.
Mains electricity wants to complete the circuit by going to neutral or ground, whichever's easier. In the US at least, neutral & ground are bonded at the breaker box nowadays. (Don't know about the UK.) He's on an upstairs floor of the house and his flooring material looks very insulative, like a tough rubber. So there's probably a relatively high resistance to earth when he touches it.

The United States also uses a 240V system like the UK, however it's separated into two virtual 120V lines, mostly for residential and business applications. Only industrial applications and electric car chargers use the full 240V. If I'm wrong, feel free to fact check me.
Clothes dryers, air conditioning, water heating, and ovens/cookers use 240v. So not just industrial. The diferance is that each 240v device has to be on its own dedicated circuit and usually hardwired.
Dangerous but it's very easy to see class 4 lasers when they are pointing at your eyes in such a narrow beam pattern. Reflection shouldn't be a problem if you keep the laser below your chin, a specular reflection from class 4 can fuck your world up though. Especially the 454/445/405nm blues, they are damn dangerous. Should always use goggles when doing this though really. As per usual love your stuff photon!
