    This is a wonderful card drive. I am working with a group and we are currently collecting cards for Dimentia and Alzheimer's patients. Previously we collected for breast cancer awareness and ended up with over 8000 cards. We are close to 3000 this time. It's truly a wonderful to use something you make for pleasure into something that helps other. Thank you for your inspiration.

    These are fabulous cards! Thank you for what you said about teachers. I totally agree with you! I have four teachers in my family. They all work so hard in their jobs.
    What a nice thing your friend recruited you and others to do by making cards for that school! You, Kelly, are a gem!

    Such great cards and a wonderful cause. I love your attitude about teachers and public serpents. They all should be getting more respect from everyone. The more I learn about you Kelly, the more I love you! You are the best.

    Use a piece of glad press n seal on the back of your watercolour card , then press it onto a surface. It'll stick flat without having to tape it down. 😊

    Love Kelly that you are so real. Showing the wrong way to do things is just as beneficial as showing the right way sometimes, and learn from. it's just great to know our favorite artists we love so much, are not always perfect either--just "real" Thanks!!

    I have started taping my watercolor paper to dollar tree clipboards so I can move them around and let them dry. Lol. I have space problems so I got some of those cookie cooking racks that stack. I know, I'm a nut. The curling drives me crazy. I I've all of your ideas!!!

    I was really confused--in a way that made me want to watch the video, btw--about the "dry watercolor" in the title. Ahhh--wet ON dry watercolor! Makes a lot more sense, since that is what I've always heard it called. Love your wet-on-wet rainbow panel. Kind of makes me think of an icat pattern in a way, with how the colors flowed. Tfs! :)

    I would love to see how or if you can water color with the new Distress oxides. Then another question can you put black soot over that that is the regular Distress inks?

    specifically what kind of tape would you have used? I have the same problems with watercolor. Also will try the Glad wrap mentioned below.

    • @KellyTaylorCards
      @KellyTaylorCards  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Painters tape or Washi tape both work well. I think Jennifer McGuire uses like medical tape. Anything that isn't too sticky and won't rip your paper.

    What kind of service are you painting on there? It looks like a marble countertop? Does Paint wipe off of that pretty easy?

    • @KellyTaylorCards

      It's a well loved Ranger craft mat and yes it wipes up super easy :)

    I have a hard time getting the inks to blend so maybe I need to watercolor on watercolor paper like this instead? Thanks

    • @KellyTaylorCards
      @KellyTaylorCards  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Using the right paper absolutely makes a difference. On regular cardstock the water absorbs right in with no time for the colors to blend.
