Jokes aside, great video, as always! For the peace treaty maybe there is no Communist north Greece, but Bulgaria annexes these lands. This would technically create more problems and make another hotspot on the map, where WW3 can start, but still, big Bulgaria.

Thanks a lot! The idea for Bulgaria to extend in the Aegean is pretty interesting. There would definitely be a lot of Greek resistance but it would technically be a more peaceful Cold War as there wouldn’t be yet another rival government. However I wanted to give Stalin the more aggressive option since his position would have been much more favourable

One of the reasons why Turkey was neutral in the second world war was that they still had to recover from the independence war. Sure we built a nation with a standing army but we lost so many brave souls in this war and the people had donated everything they had for the independence war, so the war would have been a burden for the people. That is why Turkey declared war in the last stage of the war when it was clear who loses and wins. Also probably in a effort to get some provisions out of this.

Before Atatürk died, he gave the prime ministry to the Democrats(Celal Bayar). İnönü was pulled into the sled(Lack of knowledge). Ataturk wished that Fevzi Çakmak would be the president after him and that multi-party life should be implemented. During World War II, Fevzi Çakmak was the Chief of General Staff and expected Hitler to take Stalingrad. When Stalingrad fell, he would attack the USSR and stage a coup against İnönü. Stalingrad did not fall and Fevzi Çakmak was quickly retired.
İnönü is a man who is disliked by all segments of society in Turkiye today.
In addition, before Atatürk died, he testified that a new great war was approaching and that Turkey should never be a party to this war.
    Thanks for great content.

I doubt treaty of Sevres would be implemented. Most probable situation with Turkey would be, Western and Central Anatolian regions getting under the Allied occupation while Northeastern Parts getting occupied by the USSR and a separatist war breaking out in the Southeast with the Kurds, which would become a Soviet satellite. There were no Greeks left in Anatolia after the Turkish Revolution, thanks to the Population Exchange between Turkey and Greece, in addition, due to the civil war in Greece, it would not get any lands in Anatolia at all.

I disagree, Greece would get the lands back despite the Turkish Majority as a good way to punish the Turks for them joining the Axis but for also the Christian massacres they have made in the past, therefore the lands would be deported of Turks (Just like it happened with the Germans in the east with the Soviets) and be Resettled with exiled Anatolian Greeks.

Minor correction regarding the ending. Sorry to claim that there were osmans still around in 1945. However I do think that they would either try to find someone with a good enough claim, or make an Islamic republic of some kind. Either way, attaturks legacy would not want to be replicated so a kemalist republic is not in the cards.

This is a very interesting and realistic scenario! In my mind, any scenario where Turkey joins the Axis (whether this one or the one where Turkey loses the war of independence to Greece) ends in Germany being the one that the nukes are used on, not Japan. As the Soviet front would be even harder to defend, and the British would probably have limited access to the Mediterranean (even if the Suez wasn't captured, still the Germans would be able to bomb the straight from closer). I think that the Allies would still win the war, but this world would be worse for the Soviets, with them possibly collapsing earlier or a Third World War taking place

This is a great video! however I do believe that the Axis’s oil motivation for invading Barbarossa was played on too heavily as Germany alone supplied their whole army with sufficient enough synthetic fuel by the mid war, I believe that the Iraqi oil would cause them to delay their invasion as now they have two major oil producing countries under their control and for the time being their need for it was satiated and so they would go for a war in the Mediterranean.

If it doesn't join the losing side it could join the winning side instead. This would probably lead to constantinople falling to Bulgarian and Greek troops in ww1 and one of them would get it in sevres, but ataturk would still rebel, but maybe he'd lose with bulgaria also fighting.
As for ww2 they could take dobrudga from Romania. Also if bulgaria owns constantinople turkey might join the axis. If bulgaria doesn't capitulate they would join the west during the cold War. If they do, the soviets will install a puppet government like they did in Poland.

This would inadvertently be a good timeline for the Greeks and Armenians and even with these gains for the Soviets, their economy would still start to struggle in the same vain they did in our timeline's Cold War though probably with some differences, probably leading to a slighter later collapse of the USSR though perhaps that would depend on how they utilise the Bosphorus for economic purposes.

I doubt Armenian SSR can take over western armenia since it now has a Turkish super majority 30 years after the cleansings, it would just lead to heavy guerilla warfare and eastern anatolia is known for being mountainous and cold, it also lacked good infrastructure at that time.
For Greek gains, I think it would also lead to heavy guerilla warfare with Greek authority being only recognized in the coast.
So the only way for the gains to work are massive deportations and population transferings which can end up violent.
Kurdistan is fine though, it would just be administratively feudal-likd due to concentration of asirets (pastoralist clans/tribes).

The map is really good but i've noticed that the North African lakes are marked as provinces, also would like to note that the "kurd protection" thing is really unjustified, Turkey would aim to vassalize Syria and co-operate with Iraq, probably owning the nation's oil refineries and making Iraq depend on Turkish investment, the Cold War also has some flaws, the USSR would not expand further than Imperial borders, an Armenian autonomous zone would be integrated within Communist Turkey and the same can be said for Kurdistan and Southern Turkey, perhaps partioned in Syria with the Sèvres borders.

theres 1 way they could win, the US not joining the war or sending any lend lease to the soviets.
Only reason why the USSR managed to get out any of its industry or mobilize its millions was directly due to the US lend lease, with some factories only being moved away mere days before the Germans would've gotten there, alongside this, the Soviets wouldn't of been able to put up any sort of offense since they'd lack the hundreds of thousands of trucks and other vehicles to transport trucks.
Although in this ending, most likely the soviets would take millions more losses possibly seeing operation unthinkable be slightly more plausible.

@@bossy1496 Ahh you are right... It's always Uncle Sam to the rescue... I remember reading that the lend lease was provided to the GBR and FRA in 1939 itself! Roosevelt circumvented Congress through some cash and carry method... Ig American Mil Industrial Complex is too broken and op XD
