Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! th-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!
This is actually a really neat unit. I just looked it up. I'm in Canada. And would be interested in one of these. They obviously sell in Canada because they have a Canadian website. And it looks like the prices were reduced by $700 right now. But it appears that they are completely sold out. I don't know why people were saying it's far too expensive. It isn't that bad. When I read the comments I was immediately thinking a few thousand dollars or something. But it's $1,100 or $1,200 in Canada. Which is expensive. But it's not awfully horrible. This would definitely be worth it for a lot of people. This would be super effective in a small Cessna airplane that doesn't have an air conditioner. As some of the older ones don't.
Hey mate do you know if you have it running off the battery and you plug in the 12v charging cord from your car will it accept charge, where It would make the battery last longer?
I have the Ecoflow Delta Max and I just need to connect it to my 12v, in hopes it charges while driving, which I believe it does. So if you have that unit, and plug the a/c into it, I would think that should work. 🤔
The DC connection to an Ecoflow battery is nice. The ultimate device would be a reversible heat pump. In the meantime sleeping in my Tesla when "camping" is still the best option 🙂.
I'm really interested in the weight and portability. I don't think I heard that mentioned? Were you sweating profusely because of moving it into the tent? 🤔😉
It needs it own battery as the connection is proprietory. The power cable has six small pins between the Pos and Neg terminals which transfer data and perhaps wakeup the AC unit. This is only compatible with their own power stations. There are other videos on TH-cam where people have looked at how to power this with their own battery and cable. The result is you can't unfortunately.
I have a split AC which I have on for about five months I want to dismantle it but I want to know what will happen if I close all valve with letting it run for some minutes
It's not a bad unit - strangely enough I was looking up something last night to try and keep the swag cool(ish) during the hotter summer nights. Kinda annoying that it's 240v onl.y and they don't have a 12v option (without extra battery and cable) considering some vanners/tourers have some pretty epic lithium storage in their vehicles these days. Also...2 weeks! Noooooo
It varies based on what you need as you can buy the unit separately, with the add-on battery or with the larger Delta power stations in a combo. The base unit is currently $2199.
I sure like it for my off-grid living in Southern Arizona where I want to just cool my bedroom. However, I would be skeptical about using this in bear country camping, that blower is spreading your scent out all over and hungry bears will feel thankful. :)
So wait, you can connect your solar panels right into it? So I wouldn't need an inverter, charge controller, or battery monitor? Couldn't I just buy a bunch of those batteries?
Love the channel, like the product but eco flow products are just way to overpriced. They clearly have handed a heap out to TH-camrs which is fine but the majority of us couldn’t afford to spend that much. Half the cost with the battery and they would get some sales. It’s priced for guys with high end caravans or campers which most have aircon units anyways. Average joe with a tent don’t have the money for this so some this isn’t a dig but sending it to TH-camrs who sleep in rooftops and swags ect really doesn’t get the right demographic for their viewers.
disagree, i've bought one for tent use. i am not interested in towing a caravan around. i want to be comfortable in my tent. I know plenty of others interested too. it's also great for families who like tent camping with young children who still nap in the day and the tent is too hot.
I live in a conversion van and my a/c is DOA. To replace it would cost more than a new (used) van. When I'm parked I use a home size portable on wheels, which is fully dependent on the grid, and takes up a lot of space. This unit might just kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I could run it off my 12v while driving (if I heard that correctly) and I already have the Ecoflow Delta Max and solar panels (yet to test the panels). I think this would come in under the cost of my original repair estimate (before metal was discovered throughout 😳).
Have the ecoflow wave. Great AC but too heavy to be portable. Use it for offgrid lifestyle. Don't waste $$ on the add on battery. Recharging is ridiculous complicated & restrictive options. Use direct with solar panels or with our solar power station.
At a cost of $2700.00 US Dollars I don't blame you for not mentioning the price for this unit. It is seriously way overpriced. I have installed an air conditioner in my tent for about $300.00 US Dollars and it will literally run you out of the tent from the cold.
@@jamesbass9797 oh... But it has to be plugged in, right? I have a Hisense portable house unit on wheels that also sits on a milk crate...takes up so much room and I need something that runs when I'm driving. 🤷♀️ Thanks for the reply.

Why TF does this thing use so much power?!? RV Air conditioners only use 10 watts while running and only 30 watts when the compressor is at peak power draw. Madness!
120$ for a 3ft cable!?!?!? 🤣😂🤣What a rip off.. so the a/c without a batter cost what 3000$?.. i just looked it up and the battery alone os 1000$........
No good unless you have power to plug in. Then you have the hose putting out crazy heat inside. I know because the campground I am at, forced to remove my AC, put one of these type in. They said that my ac stuck out too far. It was 6 inches. This new one was 700 dollars, and still can be seen from street. These looks ugly too. I had flowers hanging so nobody could my AC. My window opens from bottom, pushes out and up. With plants hanging on sides window nobody could see the Unit. But no, had to remove plants and AC. Crazy. All this because the rooftop AC stopped working. These cost triple price, use more electric, don't cool as good. Plus, the exhaust pipe acts as a heater at the same time. Crazy.
Horrible customer service. Neverending hold no matter what selection you make, an I tried them all for roughly 45 minutes per. If they put so little emphasis on customer support then they get ZERO of my money.
OMG! Nearly $2K for a bit of cool air?!? I grew up in the 50s before central (or even window) a/c was found in the average home. IN OKLAHOMA where the summers have many, many over 100 degree days. Stay in the shade, get a fan, drink lots of water and if you have access to a pool or a lake while camping, spend time in the water. Sorry, I just can't see spending that kind of money for a portable a/c for camping trips.
@@sophirichmanfletcher4657 Wow, really. I lived in a real house full time with pets without air conditioning in OKLAHOMA. I grew up early 60s in a 3 bedroom house without a/c. It does have around 4000BTUs of cooling power which is quite huge compared to other portable airconditioners.

I already have the Delta Pro so charging the Wave wherever I am won't be a problem.
ok
I live in Cairns so it’s hot, & humid up here.
It’s a nice size unit BTU’s.
Would love to see another review in the WA summer for sleeping at night 👍
Looks like Ecoflow have one in the bag again. The design looks pretty good and it can work with the Delta Max or Delta Pro.
“You don’t need a AC camping mate” 😅 Ecoflo sent me one also for review, il never go Summer camping with out it now 😂
Haha yeah they’re an impressive little unit!! Nice job with your review of the unit too, checked that out last week 👌
thanks for a real world review mate.
This is a pretty good portable air conditioner. I can really use this in cooling down my tent with the 4000BTUs that it has.
Hey mate do you know if you have it running off the battery and you plug in the 12v charging cord from your car will it accept charge, where It would make the battery last longer?
Hey mate, that's a good question and I'm not too sure - I'll test this out and get back to you. 🙂
I have the Ecoflow Delta Max and I just need to connect it to my 12v, in hopes it charges while driving, which I believe it does. So if you have that unit, and plug the a/c into it, I would think that should work. 🤔
The best thing I love about the Wave is that I can use solar panels to charge the battery. Not all portable aicrconditioners can do that.
How long will a battery run this for ? Looking for off grid and dont want to sweat all night. Can use a generator during the day buyt not at night
The DC connection to an Ecoflow battery is nice. The ultimate device would be a reversible heat pump. In the meantime sleeping in my Tesla when "camping" is still the best option 🙂.
What about the physical dimensions? How high is it?
I'm really interested in the weight and portability. I don't think I heard that mentioned? Were you sweating profusely because of moving it into the tent? 🤔😉
The guys at anaconda talked me out of buying one of these units....they advised they're having plenty of issues...keep clear
Can you run it off a 12V socket or does it need their own special battery to be portable?
It needs it own battery as the connection is proprietory. The power cable has six small pins between the Pos and Neg terminals which transfer data and perhaps wakeup the AC unit. This is only compatible with their own power stations. There are other videos on TH-cam where people have looked at how to power this with their own battery and cable. Can I use it in my car ? Can I have it plugged to my car while driving
This may be a silly question but can it also do heating or just AC only as you reviewed it for AC?
The new one wave 2 that’s going to be coming out soon will do both.
I have a split AC which I have on for about five months I want to dismantle it but I want to know what will happen if I close all valve with letting it run for some minutes
Tech has made it possible to make carry on AC's but the tent is still not designed for the outlet of exhaust pipes.
Can this be ran off a 12v campervan system?
It's not a bad unit - strangely enough I was looking up something last night to try and keep the swag cool(ish) during the hotter summer nights.

Definitely agree with you there - if they bought out an Anderson to EcoFlow DC cable that would be perfect. 👌
Do we get any price

200 watt input from solar panels won’t run the compressor. The unit won’t even allow its attempts
