They chose the perfect time and new actor for Leo's drastic voice change. Seth Green's deeper voice really reflects the maturity Leo goes through in facing his failure as a leader. I assume Seth went for a deeper voice at first because of the in-universe explanation the writers came up with to explain to voice change, but Seth's voice is already deeper than Jason Biggs' Leo voice, so going even deeper created a change that was beyond jarring. I think 2012 did a great job at making the turtles sound like actual teenagers, so I'm glad they do backpedal on the voice depth a little as the show moves forward

Jason started out wearing a sack for a mask and then switched to the hockey mask. Even him just appearing in front of his victims despite walking echoes many instances where Jason just teleports

Every time I rewatch 2012 TMNT Leo's voice change throws me off SO MUCH 😭😭 I do think it's fitting in the long run, but the sudden switch is always hard to get trough. I love his tween voice so much, I would recognize it always 🥺

With that said s03 is the worst season of the show, with the problems starting early on in this boring and lifeless first half. This episode is fine, but it doesn't have that much depth or fun to it, which is more apparent upon rewatch. That kind of mediocrity is to be expected from episode to episode. Also, I know that Seth Green doesn't shine here, but give him time he becomes SO amazing later on!
