Vamvo came out with a new home theater projector and I wanted something more powerful than the L4200 model (review here: • Vamvo L4200 Portable V... ). This is, quite frankly, the best home theater size projector I have ever owned. We use it for viewing movies both on the screened in porch and outdoors with our six foot movie screen. I was already a fan of Vamvo video products but this projector made me even more of a fan as it has excellent contrast ration, excellent picture with 1080p native resolution support, advanced projector cooling, easy to adjust controls, and all comes in a great carrying case. It is now our "go to" projector for watching movies and shows.

Nice review! Do you know what the approximate picture size would he from 2.5m away?

Hi. I just watched your video. I have the same projector mounted on the ceiling. I notice i started seeing dust particles on the screen. Do you happen to know how to remove the case to wipe the screen inside the unit?
    Thanks!

      I do not

My question is, do I have to place this projector in the center, or I can place it on my left and still get a correct projection on the screen?

It has adjustments for it being "off" vertically but not horizontally so it will have to be placed in the center. If it is above the screen (like a ceiling mount) it has a keystone adjustment. I still use it today for watching movies on the yard, teaching at school, and watching movies on the deck.

Have you experienced a problem with half of the picture is lighter than the top half?

      No I have not....that sounds like it's a bulb/LED problem

Could you please tell me the minimum distance for clear image???

    • @EricDIY
      @EricDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว

I believe it was 9-10 ft for optimal image quality...could be wrong

Thanks Eric. I sent you e-mail with the same question. If it's 9-10 feet do you have any idea about the size of the screen, because I want to copy (trace) an image from the screen.

I have the Goodee Native 1080p which has the exact same shape as the Vamvo but the color of it is silver.
Pros: Excellent picture. Best I've seen for under $250
Nice color wheel. Colors really pop
    Decent speakers
    Workable focus and keystone correction
Cons: This is personal. Bulky. My room is only 15ft long so I was limited to a 134 inch screen.
When you enter the picture settings you can't see the picture. You can't see the changes till you switch back to the picture.
After 6 months it developed an orange discoloration over a portion of the screen. (Noticeable when the scene has white;like clouds or snow)
I settled for the smaller screen because the picture was so nice but after the discoloration, I went for a smaller 720p projector for a 153 inch screen. It's not as bright, but decent enough. It matches the 1080p in colors but the pixels are a little bigger.

I can tell you that Vamvo stands by their products as I had that screen in this video (the smaller one) have it's supports break that were used outside with heavy winds (hence why I use it only on the porch now) and Vamvo sent me a brand new one after I showed them the pics of the broken supports. The second one has worked great outdoors and I keep the screen from the old one indoors.
