Thank you, and I truly enjoyed watching the first of many videos on your channel. I have a few qued up, but I just need to start watching. I felt I keep things very real, but you are very entertaining while keeping them real. I've been dying to do a spruce beer, and after you enjoying one, I'm chomping at the bit even more.

Thanks for the video, I'm thinking about getting the condenser at some point, maybe next fall. Im going to make a note to off the boil when putting the condenser on .

Thank you, and you can leave the boil on, just don't forget to turn the mister part on, as I totally forgot to. Plus keep some fire retardant gloves nearby.

Very nice video again. When you are taking off the steam condenser don't forget that there is a shut off valve on top of it so that you don't have water leaking everywhere. Another thing that I use during my brew day is the swirly from anvil. It helps cool the wort down faster(counter flow the swirly/chiller) as well as creating a nice whirlpool so that there is a hop cone in the center so that I can get clear wort into the fermenter without hop/trub matter.

Yeah, it was my first-day brewing with the steam condenser. I ordered a longer drain hose (12 feet) to run the runoff to the floor drain in my garage. As for the swirly, I don't have one, but it might make more sense, although if I am doing a whirlpool in the Anvil currently and don't want to get my arm tired from doing it manually, I use a drill with a mortar stir bar. Sadly, when you are worried about the cameras and getting a good video, sometimes you forget important things like opening or closing the valve for the steam condenser. 🤣

Thanks for sharing your brew day. I'll have to ry this recipe one day after you give your thoughts on how it came out. Can't wait to see part 2. Cheers!

I should have that video out by this Friday. I won't give too much away, but I do show you how I made and added Tea in the video. My oldest really doesn't care for Rooibos, but for me I'm a big fan of Rooibos.

Great video. I have the Steam Condenser lid and will be doing a test this weekend. Do you open the faucet all the way on the water in from the sink?

Thank you, and yes, I did. If the pressure is too high, you can reduce it a bit. The mister can only push so much water at a time, and as long as you see a nice constant trickle of water flowing, you should be good. There shouldn't be a ton of water coming through the drain. For indoor brewing, this thing does an amazing job at reducing the moisture level that could be in your house from an open brew kettle during the boil. Be very careful that you have the flow going and the boil under control before you put it on top, and you should consider bringing your power level down to around 60 to 65% as the steam condenser creates a little back pressure, which causes the boil to be more intense at much lower power settings.

I'm looking hard at the Anvil but they are out of stock of the 10.5. Maybe I can muster up the patience to wait until June, when they will be back in stock.
Thank you for the videos, I really enjoy your channel.

That is actually funny, as that means guys are buying them for Mother's day and spinning the gift, like, "hey, I can make your favorite beer." If you are really dying for one, Lion Brewing Solutions says they have one left on eBay (Where I bought my first Anvil Foundry when they were on a massive backorder). Just search Anvil Foundry 10.5 and they have the 10.5 with recirculation pump listed for $524 with a free bottle of star san. and free shipping.

For whatever reason, this message never populated into my YT. I ended up getting the 18 gallon so that I can play with distillation as well.
Thanks again for what you give to the brewing community.

You might be interested in a hydraulic lift table, check out Harbor freight they have a 500 and 1000 lbs. There's video on TH-cam showing unboxing and how to use it. I think it could help when you sparge, just lower the table.

Someone else recommended that and I was even considering a motorcycle lift for the Anvil Foundry systems as they are much smaller and that type of lift is a lot less expensive.
